It was spot on crispy, hot, the meat was tender and juicy and the breading was seasoned just right. I also got a side of biscuits and gravy. On issue for my personal taste was the gravy. This is my $30 take out order of eggs Benedict and 2 pcs French toast. Egg whites were not cooked, still runny, barely any sauce, and you can see the care that was taken with preparing the food. I ordered the eggs scrambled. The previous visit to Little Randy's we dined in. Everyone received their meal but me. Mine came almost 10 minutes later and when the waitress brought it, she dropped it and it shattered on the floor. I know accidents happen and I wasn't upset by that at all. She was very flustered and apologized to her boss over and over but never said one word of apology to me and she never took the food off my bill. Exactly what I look for when i travel to a new city. Friendly owner and wait staff. Bunch of regulars when the doors open at 7. Breakfast was really tasty. We had lunch here and I wasn't too impressed. The service was great! I ordered the country ham skillet. That should be potatoes with 2 eggs on it the country ham and gravy. After it came I started to look for the ham. I thought they had forgotten it. But then I saw a tiny cue of ham. And I only saw 10 or so tiny cubes. The eggs were scrambled in with the potatoes. The old time diner is exactly how I would refer to this establishment if I was merely trying to recognize that nothing in that place besides the flat screen TV looked like it had been updated at all. Some owners can get away with NOT maintaining there business front by delivering a more than savory meal. However, no matter how long I tried to savor my reuben, onion rings and fries, I could not derive anything else but the bland taste of oil and what I thought was supposed to be corn beef. I can give them credit for serving a meal that was not unpacked from a bag...wait, that might not have been a bad idea, because I've had processed food throw a much better party for my taste buds than little randy ' s menu. With all that in mind I recommend this establishment for friendly service and...well... maybe there coffee creamer. Probably our favorite place to eat breakfast in Kennewick. Occasionally there will be an issue with the food but all restaurants have that problem. They are quick to remedy any issues. This is literally a down to earth Ma & Pa place. No extra pretentious Horsersh*t. Just simple food. I usually get the Pork chops and Eggs. I love the fact that I can have tortillas as my toast! I went in for late lunch and was charged twice for one meal. I had contacted them later that day, they refused to believe me. I told them I would show them, but they wanted to wait til Monday to check their bank. Waitress denied she had done it. Got busy and didn't get chance to check on it and now it's been almost three weeks tomorrow. Waitress was fired because of many other issues. Hours I work don't allow me to go to diner to show them transactions and get my money. This is ridiculous. This is a cute little diner with "old school" charm. The food is incredible. My husband got the chirizo skillet. It is huge. The chirizo is made fresh as well as the red and green salsas. The chirizo had a pleasant bite. The skillet also had bellpepper, potatos and a white sauce. I had a clam chowder that also was made fresh. We were impressed by the quick service from the time we walked in the door we were seated almost immediately and they were all busy. Our drinks came quickly our order was taken quickly and brought out in a very timely fashion; food was hot, tasty and fresh. I must've driven past this place 50 times over the last year, and never realized it was a restaurant. I guess I've gotten used to huge lighted signage, with colors that draw the attention, but this location just never jumped out to me. This area of old downtown Kennewick also seemed a little sketchy to me, but as it turns out, it's a fairly good part of town, unlike most old downtown areas in other cities I've been in. So, on to the food and service; I had a relatively easy breakfast consisting of hashbrowns, two eggs, and 1/3 pound hamburger patty. Top Mark's for the eggs (basted) and hashbrowns (crispy), but the hamburger was way overcooked, and kinda funny to look at since it was a regular patty that was cut into 1/3rd. Almost as if it was leftover from lunch the day before or something. The breakfast was more than ample in size, with a bottomless cup of coffee. I actually couldn't even finish the meal because I got too full. Price was a little higher than I would have expected, but then it seems to be like that everywhere I go lately (most likely due to higher wages having to be paid and offsetting the cost). My waitress was really good, refilling my coffee just as it got to 1/2 cup each time, and super nice. I never caught her name, but she had a butterfly tattoo on her arm, dark hair, very pretty. The wait time for the meal was a little longer than expected, but not bad. I think I will be going back, but next time I'll try whatever the special is to knock down the price a little. I had the worst experience here for lunch today with a group of people. I ordered hash browns-which after taking one bite they were extremely greasy and cold. I told the waitress about this and she took it back to the kitchen. I got ready to pay for my food and noticed that I was still being charged (even though she took the food back to the kitchen after I told her I didn't want it). The waitress goes on to tell me that she didn't think anything was wrong with it and it was still in the kitchen boxed up if I wanted it back. What a pleasant surprise. We have eaten breakfast here 4 times. Service is great and food presentation clean and nice. The waitress asked me if I wanted gravy on my potatoes. If you taste their buttery potatoes you wouldn't want anything on them. The atmosphere is early American with oilcloth tablecloths. Does that take you back. Was told food was good, showed up sunday 7/8 for lunch with 3family members from out of town and my parents from lower valley. My grilled ham&cheese, barely a piece of ham in the sammy and was mashed like it was cooked by a 3rd grader, same for my parents, my 2 nieces ordered chicken nachos no onion no tomato but wanted refried beans, nachos came out had tomato and no beans. Another member of the table ordered a skillet, taters were not cooked right and last but not least sis-in-laws grilled chicked came out as being a breaded crispy chicken sandwich. Asked if the nachos could be redone,and were remade, but only with a thin layer of beans on the bottom chips chicken and a cheese that would have come from a frito lay can. My favorite Monte Christo breakfast is at the Alpine Inn in Hill City, SD. When I do find it in a menu around here they are usually packed frozen ones or made with Texas toast and thin deli ham. Little Randy's Monte Christo is home made with French toast and thick slices of ham. My only argument is the use of packaged American cheese slices. Aside from that a good sandwich!
