He is as much concerned about the overall health of your eyes as he is about your prescription. He is a very good listener and patiently answers all questions you have. I'm very near-sighted and he has worked with me to find a prescription that not only corrects my vision but is also the most comfortable for my eyes. He has also worked with me to treat my dry eyes - much better than several eye MD's I have been to. His office staff is great, too. They have been with him for years and know exactly who I am when I call or come in. I can't recommend Dr. Michalos highly enough.

One member of the staff was consistently nasty and condescending. Moreover, I feel the information she gave me was often misleading and in bad faith. Southland Vision care also lost half of my test results. When I received my test results by mail, they included two copies from the same eye and none from the other. Each of the copies was individually annotated. That such an obvious error made it through analysis and mailing suggests either a puzzling level of incompetence or actual malfeasance. When I pointed out the error, the office was willing to refund the cost of the test. However, they were unwilling to refund the cost of the office visit that they had specifically scheduled to perform the test as I had "spent a lot of time in the office" getting the test (the results of which they lost).

Dr. Thomas was first class from the beginning all the way through my Lasik eye surgery! I went in…read morefor a consultation and his staff at the desk were very friendly and attentive. They do a series of tests to see if you are a candidate for Lasik and to measure your prescription to see how much your eyes have changed since your last eye doctor appointment. All the tests were standard that you see at your eye doctor and didn't hurt a bit. My eyes were -5, meaning I was near-sighted. I also suffered from astigmatism. Dr. Thomas assured me that my eyes were very healthy and I was a great candidate for the surgery. The consultation was $100 and if you aren't a candidate it is refunded. If you elect to get your surgery through his office, the money is used toward the cost of the surgery. The friendly staff were able to schedule a surgery just 3 days after the exam! I was relieved to see Dr. Thomas was able to answer all of my questions about what to expect at the surgery and the recovery time afterwards. Dr. Thomas called me personally the night before the surgery to see if I had any more questions and how I was feeling leading up to it. The day of the surgery, I was explained in detail how to take care of my eyes and how to use the eye drops prescribed to me.The surgery was a breeze! I didn't feel any pain and it only lasted 20 seconds per eye! Even walking out of the office, I had vision close to 20/20! By that evening, I was seeing crystal clear! Dr. Thomas went above and beyond! He even called me in the evening to see how my recovery was going! After a few hours, I felt like a million bucks! I would recommend Dr. Thomas to all my family and friends and couldn't imagine a better experience! Top notch care! Thank you so much for all the professional staff and facilities!
