When you stop by, you'll have either the son or father waiting on you or preparing your delicious breakfast. Occasionally, momma will come out of the kitchen in back and assist. It is a true family affair. I've only done breakfast and it is top notch. The grill is right behind the counter, so you get to watch your meal being prepared. Their Hash Browns are top notch and I also recommend the pancakes and Biscuits and Gravy. Actually, their entire breakfast menu is a winner. Next on my agenda is to stop by and experience their lunch. It's an easy find on Broadway and there's plenty of parking across the street in a gravel lot. I recommend you go give them a try, you'll be glad that you did.

Just looking at the menu you'll think "ok, typical greasy spoon type place ". But they are much better than that and do take pride in what would appear to basic diner fare. I went with the buffalo chicken wrap and opted for onion rings instead of fries. The wrap itself was full of crispy crunchy chicken, with the right balance of lettuce tomato cheese. And the buffalo sauce brought just the right amount of heat. I couldn't put the thing down. But the star of the show was the onion rings. These are probably the best I've had and it'll probably be years before I have better. Perfect light and crispy, the right crunch, and the tender onion makes a clean break with every bite! You know what I'm talking about--when the rest of the onion wants to slide out of the rest of the ring? Atmosphere is charming and fits what you'd expect for this kind of establishment. Owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable. I'm looking forward to returning when the daily special is bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Highly recommend.

It was one of those mornings and I had a craving for, Chicken Fried Steak. So I headed out of the house, to enjoy a nice breakfast at a diner. I hadn't been to B Town in a while, so even with the current gas prices, I made the drive to Bethalto. Their Chicken Fried Steak came with eggs, so I had mine scrambled. It also came with a choice of Hash Browns or American Fried Potatoes. I asked the waitress what her favorite was and she said, American. The American Fried are done totally in house. That sold me. It also came with toast, but I took a pass. They provided a steak knife with my breakfast, but it wasn't needed. The meat was tender and it was easy to break off a bite using just a fork. My eggs were fluffy and the potatoes were a good choice. So, always listen to your server. One thing I really like about B Town, is they do not overly season their food. I like the fact that I actually need to add more salt or pepper to my entree. I hate it when some places overly salt food. Good Food, Good Prices and Good Service will have me coming back for another breakfast. I might even come and check-out their lunch menu.

This appears to be a refurbished Pizza Hut very well remodeled! The restaurant is very clean and so were the restrooms. The dining area was very clean and well maintained. Service was prompt and polite. I ordered a 3 piece Walleye dinner with potato salad and onion rings, my wife had breaded cod, broccoli and potato salad. The food did not disappoint it was delicious and piping hot when served. We will definitely return for breakfast next time. Looks like they have a great selection.

The service is "ignore until they flag you down." Food is alright, better than average for diners in the area with prices that are very reasonable. I prefer a burger as the meat of a slinger. They use sausage patties. The chili is perfect and the server/chef sent out over medium and easy eggs cooked to perfection. The ice tea is STRONG. Had to ask for a refill. Again, you'll get ignored. I tried some of the filling of the pie--it was just average. This place is clearly a mainstay for South County. I think it's worth coming at least once, but I have to say: I got some looks. It was like people needed to see and hear me speak fluent, accent-less English. Just keep that in mind.
