At a lost for words how any business could try and pass this off as food. Ordered delivery, which showed up 30 minutes later than they stated and the pizza was terrible with no toppings and a funky sauce taste. Cold because the delivery was late as well. Also, ordered a chicken ranch sub and it contained a couple pieces of chicken in the middle of the roll and nothing but bread for the rest of the sub. There was this weird slice of pickle that came with the sub, in the picture. They must have had only one pickle for the day to split amongst all the customers as I've never seen anything so small. I'm writing this review so I can read it in the future and remember not to ever order here again. read more

We found this restaurant on our way back home from our family trip. It's off the beaten path and had a small family business feel. The inside was quaint and could use a little sprucing up. We ordered an XL pan toss deluxe pizza and it was absolutely delicious. You could taste the dough was made inhouse and the toppings were super fresh. The service was also good. Would recommend this restaurant over a chain pizza joint. read more

OUTSTANDING ! Moving Day during covid-19. Ordered pizza for the movers, and ourselves. Prompt delivery. HOT and DEEEEELICIOUS pizza. We've just relocated from California and believe in doing buisiness with merchants in our town. I'm certain we will be repeat customers - especially since we can have it delivered hot to our front door. We don't always do delivery, but today it was necessary. We were delighted that 1) Down Home was open at lunch time and 2) that they were delivering. We stuck with the basic cheese and a few pepperoni pizzas since we didn't know what the movers liked. Stopped into this small pizzeria while traveling. It's an order at the counter and then chose your own seat situation. We ordered a cheeseless hand-tossed veggie pizza to share. I'm almost sure the very nice girl taking our order probably thought she heard me wrong at first, as when she brought it out she wanted to make it looked alright. She said that was their first time making a pizza like that, so I can appreciate that she cared to make sure it was truly what we wanted. :) The pizza was DELICIOUS and so much better than expected! The crust was crisp and light on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce was good. The only downside for me was the jarred mushrooms, but that's just a personal preference. Between that and the great customer service I would definitely stop here again to eat on my way through Georgia. read more

I've ordered the cheese chicken buffalo sauce pizza on 2 different occasions, and both times it's been wrong. Their pizza taste great, but I wanted the ones I ordered. I made it very clear 3 times over the phone yesterday. He said he understood the order. The 2 I received yesterday didn't have the buffalo sauce on them. read more

Horrible customer service. Dough is raw more often than it's cooked. Bread/cheese sticks are a joke, and don't bother ordering cinnamon sticks- it's one breadstick cut into fourths. Don't waste your money. read more

Pizza is one of those foods that many of us eat when in a hurry and we may not have any great expectation in taste. Eating here has been surprisingly gratifying! The meat lover's pizza had a crisp hot bread crust and the meat toppings were even crispy. They didn't stint on the toppings either! We had the oven baked dough wrapped mushrooms which for the mist part were delicious! A few were not quite done but still not bad. Only one issue - the cuts did not separate the pieces which meant basically tearing them apart. Gave me a reason to lick my fingers! read more

We have been enjoying pizzas from Down Home Pizza for over 10 years. They have always gone above and beyond with quality and service. However, the sausage pizza we received tonight was a joke. There was very little sauce or cheese, and only about 6 - 8 pieces of sausage. Absolutely pitiful!! read more

Downhome Pizza has made a lot of positive changes since new management. There menu is no as limited as before, the staff is friendly, and the owners are willing to looks at other Italian and South Georgia favorites. Prices are very responsible and the service is very good. They deliver to parts of the county that other companies don't, give them a try. read more
