Love this new coffee shop in our neighborhood. The decor is cute and it's a great change from places like Starbucks. I have to admit I'm pretty obsessed with this place and have sometimes stopped in more than once a day. The owners and staff are great and really friendly. Even once when the credit card machine was down and I had no cash, they told me to just pay when I came in next. Seriously?! Never have such great people. My go to is the espresso granita which is a sweetened icy coffee of awesomeness. I could seriously drink these all day. The seasonal egg nog latte and pumpkin lattes are awesome. Even my husband agrees which is shocking! The pastries are great and always fresh and I love the selection of sandwiches. Everything about this place is great. read more

EVERYTIME I've come to Downpour Coffee there there has been friendly, quick service and amazing quality coffee. I would even say they have the best tasting coffee on the eastside! The y serve sleepy monk. Not entirely my favorite coffee to choose from but the staff are extremely friendly. The decor feels a lot like 'mom's house'. It has nick nacks everywhere but nothing really seems to go. They have an excellent space with the garage door and the corner full of windows but it could use some modern touch in my opinion. This coffee shop is really good. The coffee they use is pretty good. To many shots for a small coffee, it was really strong. The hot coco was really good too. If you don't like a strong chocolate flavor, like me, then i recommend putting some nutmeg or cinnamon. They are pet friendly and have some dog treats for ur pup. Also, if you come in there later, about 3 or 4 ish they were out of bakery items. They had some sandwiches and bottled water. Down Pour is my favorite coffee shop I've been to by far. They have the best prices, and great food offered to anyone (vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant) and it's super good coffee! The coffee brand is Sleepy Munk which comes from the roaster in Cannon Beach, OR. Down Pour is the perfect Saturday morning stop, plenty of seating and such great customer service. It's owned by two amazing people who put a lot of effort into making the shop a perfect family coffee shop. If you're looking for sugary Frappuccinos and burned coffee then go to starbucks, but if you want good-quality coffee that truly has a good taste, Down Pour is the place for you! read more

Hey :) Down poor is a warm and non pretentious place with friendly staff. It is spacious and gives everyone a sense of quiet and privacy. Well aligned with Bridle Trails community's spirit. A feel good place :) Coffee is good and they serve it in nice mugs (when you ask) and I like that. My gym buddy and I are stopping by every Saturday morning. First of all someone wrote a one star review complaining their mocha was too sweet. These baristas are super nice and for sure would have fixed it had you asked. I am from Portland and came here yesterday. The coffee and service were so good that I went way out of my way to come back. If I lived here I would be a regular. I was happy to see this little gem open up. It's a few miles away from our home, and we enjoy going on walks or bike-rides on nice days for a treat. The atmosphere is great and there's more than enough seating. They offer sandwiches, and a variety of drinks. So far, I've ordered a Chai tea and a mocha, though my family has ordered the frozen drinks. Honestly, they were all delicious. When I ordered the mocha, the woman behind the bar forgot to add the espresso -- so she made it again, and gave me both my coffee, and the delicious steamed milk concoction. Good coffee, but the ambiance is lacking. Due to the abundance of hard surfaces it isn't "cozy," and instead quite loud. I'm also not fond of the mustard green walls by the restroom. A bit of a letdown for this upscale neighborhood. I probably won't be back. read more

I come in here time to time on the way back from college, usually to get the mango granita they serve. Good drink that accommodates well to the nice sunny weather we have been having. Coffee here is very very good, as well as the scones they serve. Interesting location & set up as well. Way better than the starbucks/tulleys joints if you ask me. The best experience for coffee in Seattle. There is something special about this place. The staff are friendly, thoughtful and appropriately "chilled" for the NW. Two ways to be lazy with Chai: Powder, and super concentrate. The super concentrate almost always requires the unhealthy high fructose corn syrup or similar. This place does that type of concentrate. Its gross to think about those ingredients they must use. read more

I was minding my own business when Steve the owner suddenly and curtly tells me I have to unplug my laptop because it was a "tripping hazard." It was packed and there were no other tables I could move to. Now I WAS going to unplug my laptop but I had to power it off first since I have no battery in it. BEFORE I EVEN HAD THE CHANCE TO DO ANYTHING STEVE JUST PULLS THE PLUG AND THEN TELLS ME I HAVE TO LEAVE. WHAT THE HELL!! Of course I was upset he just pulled the plug like that! I had no battery in the computer and it totally damaged it, just suddenly powering off in the middle of my work!! If I was working on something important all my data would've been lost! I expressed my anger at his outrageous behavior and he threatened to call the police. He was rude from the very beginning, just the way he told me to unplug the computer. He didn't ask nicely or give me any time to react like a reasonable person would. I told him he was being unreasonable and rude but he just threatened to call the police and told me to leave.He was extremely disrespectful and aggressive from the very beginning to the end. read more

The inside is incredibly cozy and welcoming; I feel like I'm in a cottage. It's like the anthropology of coffee shops. And the owner is very kind and welcoming which is always a huge plus.
