What an adorable café right in the center of Redmond! There's ample street parking nearby which was surprisingly simple to find. Ambience is great -- though there's not that many tables, if you do manage a snag one, it's a great place to do some work or hang out with a friend. The desserts are on the sweeter side, namely the banana pudding, but flavor wise, I'm a big fan! The onigiri was great to cut all the sugar. I want to come back and try the drinks!

had the matcha tiramisu which was noted to be very popular according to their menu. and yes, it was good. serving big and not to matcha'ey. I just wish they had more than one kiosk to place orders. probably come back to try their drinks next time.

Vibe: they have a cozy inside - a great place to sit and yap. Their playlist was so chill and nice. The matcha was not my favorite but the hojicha was good! The containers were really cool! Service was self-service which was nice if you are just feeling less socialization that day!

Heard we finally had Japanese souffle pancakes on the east side, at Screaming Parrots Cafe so I had to check them out. Not sure why this place is called screaming. Parrots says there's no parrots inside but actually that's a good thing cuz parents can be pretty noisy. On to the souffle pancakes. I ordered the banana and strawberry one. I got here at about 6:00 p.m. and the place was fairly empty. I guess most folks are still at dinner. They were just finished making a new batch of the souffle batter and whipped cream as I arrived. The pancake shack was eyeing the 6 customers line and she made eight at a time anticipating the orders. Mine came out pretty quick. Very large size; you get two per order. Cover with lots of whipped cream and strawberries and bananas. This will basically be my dinner, LOL! So how do they taste? Well they were like a sponge cake, rather than a souffle. They did not have have the same lightness and jiggle, as the ones you would get from the Grams Cafe that you find in major cities across Asia. I also think that the dessert cafes in the San Gabriel valley in California make better ones. I also noticed on the menu that you can order them with either strawberry puree or mango puree. That may actually be better is then you can take the souffle pancake and swap it in the puree. Well if you never had these before I would come here and try them. As for myself, I'll wait until I return to California and have my favorite ones, down there.

I'm a super fan of Japanese souffle pancakes so when I saw that this cafe had them, I beelined over to try these! We came on a weekday morning, and made it there about 5 minutes before they officially opened. There was a pretty large line gathering already, but we were maybe about 5 parties from the front. So I would recommend getting there even earlier. The pancakes were legit! Yummy just like they were in Japan, but it does take a while to make these. So even though we were pretty far up in line, it was prob about 45 mins after we ordered before we got our pancakes. It was fine with us because I know they are still relatively new. It's just something to keep in mind! Oh and if you're a fan of strawberries and trying to decide on the strawberry or strawberry banana pancakes, get the strawberry because it comes with a lot of muddled strawberries/strawberry sauce at the bottom as you can see in my photo. The strawberry banana ones were more actual sliced strawberries and bananas, so it didn't have this amazing sauce to accompany your pancakes!

Updating my review! I came here on a weekend, and it was so popular, there was a line out the door. You could tell they were busy but the staff were all working hard to get everyone's orders as quickly as possible, without compromising the quality of the beverages and food. I got the strawberry matcha and the crème brûlée crepe. The strawberry matcha was really good! One of the better ones I've had in a while. The fresh strawberry pieces balanced the strong matcha flavor pretty well. I would get this again! The crème brûlée was good but could've been better. The top was perfect and filled with strawberries and bananas wrapped in custard filling. But as you got mid way through the crepe it was dry, as the custard filling wasn't as spread out through the bottom. Overall good dessert and beverages!

Cute cafe by Redmond town center! Went around 3:10pm on a Sunday and there was already a big line out the door (they open at 3pm)- didn't realize they were so popular. The line went by quickly though as the service was fast. I tried their popular crème brûlée crepe- it was $15 but it was huge with a lot of custard filling, strawberries and bananas inside. I also got a matcha strawberry latte and it was a good balance of sweet and matcha bitter taste. Small cafe but has around 8 tables for dine in.

The food is great, everything made fresh and fast service! We came last night with a huge group of middle school kids, the cafe was full!! But they worked quickly to prepare the orders. If we ordered on the phone online, the order got prepped very quickly, but many parents stood in line to order for them it took longer. I would recommend the restaurant puts clear signs and ask everyone to order online as they need all the staff to work in the kitchen, as the food does take time to prepare as everything is being made fresh. The kids enjoyed the food!

I was in town for an event and came here to grab tea and read. They have about 9 tables that are close together. There's some free 2hr parking nearby! You order at the kiosk and they bring your food/drink out to you. Da hong pao cloud: I got the less sweet option and it was closer to a 25% sweet you get at other tea shops. So if you still want sweetness, get regular sweet. The cloud part also didn't have any flavor or salt or sugar, it was straight up foamy dairy. But mixed in it was good, drinking with the separate layers didn't do anything for me . Loved their less ice option, there's actually less ice and my drink wasn't too cold!

I really really enjoyed the matcha and strawberry crepe! It was filled with matcha cream, strawberries, whipped cream, and dusted with matcha powder. My matcha einspanner latte and matcha crepe were both rich and creamy. I got the large matcha einspanner which wasn't too sweet or milky. I would definitely visit after work, but I'm terrible at driving. Thankfully they open pretty late, so I can make a trip when the roads aren't busy :)) The cafe itself is small, but there's enough seating! Few people were reading or studying, and there are pictures of the owner's parrots on the wall near the back.

A nice option in the downtown Redmond area for Asian inspired drinks and cafe fare. You order at a kiosk. The place is smaller about capacity for 24 customers sitting. We ordered a crepe like lunch plate and a matcha hochicha drink. Not bad. The service is good. Parking is in a garage around back and validate in the cafe.

Asian dessert café with drinks like Matcha and Hojicha. We ended up getting a mango hojicha and the da hong pao latte. Both were good had a good selection of onigiris, desserts like the Japanese soufflé pancakes and basque cakes. The interior seating is limited with some outside seating. Service is quick despite the long line to order on one tablet.

Really like their latte drink , and their cakes, but the price is really really steep for what it is. Usually I don't breakdown the costs of the cafe purchases. I first came by to purchase a tea I've never tried before for 6.5 and a baked cheesecake that I haven't tried before. The reason I picked this one, was honestly... I wanted to try one of their cheapest drinks. I forgot the price of my cake. I thought the tea drink was a bit lacking in flavor, but that is my own fault for just randomly picking a drink. I came back to the counter and ordered a different drink. Latte with foam, much much much tastier than my tea. I think my drink came out close to $11 with tip. I'm just in a sticker shock, if those are the prices of drinks these days for this small cup size. I'm not sure if I could afford to come back. Let's hope I win the lottery so that I can!

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #80…read more After a poor boba experience at the Capitol Hill location, I wasn't expecting much out of Meetea Cafe in Redmond. Still, since this is the only non-chain boba shop in Redmond, and I was in the area for an event, I decided to give it a chance. The menu at this location is a bit different, since it doesn't allow tea selection for the milk tea at the kiosk. There are two kiosks even though I doubt this place gets too busy, given that it was just after lunch at 1PM on a Sunday, and there was only one other party inside. Boba Milk Tea, 30% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea is a very pleasing almost orangish color that's actually quite a fragrant, tasting more similar to a Ceylon than an Assam that most other boba shops use. There's a caramelized milky sweetness to the drink, like they use pure condensed milk as a sweetener. It all combines together to give vaguely Hong Kong-style milk tea notes. At 30% sweet, it's pleasingly only slightly sweet, much better than the harsh sweetness at 50% from the other location. Note this drink comes with boba by default, but I wasn't paying attention and ended up adding additional boba (adds 75 cents). At least, I think there was an additional order in the cup, given that it seemed to be a larger amount of boba than is usual. The boba is surprisingly pretty good. While the pearls are smooth, not that sweet, and are a bit inconsistent in size, they have a surprisingly good bounce and the chew is quite good, albeit a tiny bit on the firm side. Overall much better than what I received on Capitol Hill. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 I was really surprised at the quality of the drink I received at this Meetea location.
