Wow! After years and years Mercurys is still one of my favorite coffee shops! Their Bellevue location is honestly just the best! We had the lovely opportunity to do a field trip here with our homeschool group and the experience couldn't have been better! Daphne from HR was the sweetest and wonderful to set everything up with! Bakery manager Erika who gave our tour was also super kind and was so wonderful with all the kids questions! Saul, kitchen manager, Abel, assistant roaster, and Philip, director of coffee were all so incredibly kind and passionate about their jobs! Have you ever have a sandwich so good that it's literally engrained in your brain? Well their chipotle chicken panini is literally that. Perfect spicy, creamy, bready combination. My friend I didn't realize this place was such a craze, so when we saw the long line we were kind of taken aback, and then wondered if it would be worth it at all. IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!!!! First of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. And don't let the line deceive you, the service is quick. My friend got a blonde Hawaiian and she loved the balance of sweet and macadamia nut. I got an iced chai with oat milk, and it definitely tasted like Oregon trail, but honestly, it was still good. We had a couple of croissants and some lemon raspberry madeleines, those were also good. But the true star of their menu was the turkey havarti!!! This is the only Mercury Coffee that has an in-house bakery. I enjoy coming here for coffee and something sweet post dinner when I'm on the Eastside. I remind myself that while they make their own croissants in-house, they are not a patisserie. Once, I reset my expectations, then I can enjoy the baked goods on their own merit. So far, I've enjoyed the raspberry lemon scone, cinnamon roll and the twice baked chocolate almond croissant. The ham and cheese was okay and was sampled prior to my resetting my expectations. If you're in a rush, I definitely recommend ordering ahead--it does take some time to move through the line and receive your order because of how crowded they get. My friend and I were on a small scale excursion around Issaquah. I wasn't sure about my next stop after some walking on a pedestrian/bike lane but suggested we go to a coffee shop. My friend then took me to Mercurys Coffee, which is a chain in the east side and a place where my friend likes to go occasionally. I thought the coffee is good and the staff were friendly. I ordered iced caramel macchiato, half sweet. Service was fast too. I liked how there are plenty of seats, and even with the place almost full, we were able to find a seat outside in the shade. One of my girlfriend's favorite coffee spots in Seattle that she wanted to show me. The coffee was good - sweet vanilla flavor, but not overpowering and could still taste the coffee flavor. Since my first review, the quality of the food they serve has improved. I got the Chipotle Chicken sandwich which really was pretty decent. It wasn't gourmet fare, but much better than I would have expected from a coffee shop. The Balsamic Garden salad that came with the sandwich was good. A very nice touch was the use of olive oil instead of the expected and cheaper soybean oil in the dressing. That was a nice touch that is a sign that Mercurys' management isn't just focused on lowest cost for their ingredients. Again, a key downside of this Mercurys as a place to do work is the loud music, but that's not entirely a deal breaker for me if I put on a pair of headphones. So the key change from my prior experience is that I would now come here for the food whereas that was previously a negative for me. read more

Would not return and would not recommend!!! This location I tried to give another chance but service this morning at 8am on 11/24/24 was terrible. The baristas had attitude and they talk to you in a very rude condescending tone even when it's not very busy and they are well staffed with no tech issues... I called 20-30 minutes ahead to ask over phone about bringing my own personal cup and I was told it was okay. At register the cashier was quiet and the barista next to him with black hair and winged liner had major attitude for no reason stating some locations allow personal cups and some don't. I said I called ahead and she reluctantly said they could pour in my cup but can't take the cup behind the counter. That's okay but I feel I could have been spoken to kinder and more professionally. I am a Starbucks barista so I do understand interacting with people. She could have told me sorry for the misinformation and left it at that. Instead I was given sass. As for the drink I ordered an iced oat milk matcha with light ice. Def not light ice and they gave me a plastic cup with lid and looked at me with beans...I said no thank you as I believe she was offering a free coffee chocolate bean. But again another barista not being professional. Why can't you offer me beans and smile and actually talk to me? Weird experience and sad they wasted a plastic cup and lid and didn't pour into my cup as they agreed.... I just was very in shock with how baristas and employees making food were not smiling. No one seemed happy or greeting customers or interacting with customers in a positive friendly manner... The energy is negative at this location. Landed at SEA, waited an hour on the tarmac, and 2 more hours at the car rental company and we ended up here. We were so glad we did! Our bill was a bit pricey at about $50 but we got the smoked mozzarella pasta salad, a ham and beecher's cheese sandwich (with pasta salad), a pumpkin cream cold brew, and a kougn Aman (spelling?). I like this place! So many delicious looking pastries and savory items to pick. I like the matcha latte. I get lots of chia seed overnight oats to last for the week. So many varieties of salads to pick. Great sandwiches and pastries to try. We've tried the green juice, ham and Beechers, ham and prosciutto croissants, maple croffin, Chinese chicken salad, salmon salad, fruit salad with chicken, cinnamon rolls. All are delicious. I just wish there are prices listed. After few experiences of long waits on weekends... I've started planning on going in weekdays to avoid the long lines and no parking. The interior smells heavenly bc pastries are made onsite. It's bright and open. When weather is great there are tables out on both sides of the shop too. Services here are mostly okay. We came here on a sunny day and had an outdoor table to enjoy the weather. The inside is also quite spacious. There were a lot of people inside - it had a lively, energetic vibe that made the place feel vibrant. There was a long line but it moved pretty fast, and the staff was fantastic--super friendly and full of energy, which added to the positive atmosphere.
