This coffee shop is excellent. I travel for work and fortunately when I'm in Redmond this cafe is a block away from the office. My coworker and I go every day we are in town even some days, twice a day. My go to is the Stefano and an avocado toast but I've tried other coffee drinks and every one of them is great. It's hard to find a coffee shop that delivers a great coffee consistently but they always do. In addition the staff is always friendly. If you ever get the chance you should stop by. read more

Was surprised to see how packed this shop was on a Monday at 9AM, which speaks to their ambiance as a solid coffee/work place. I tried the recommended Cafe Stefano, which was a blend of cinnamon, vanilla, and hazelnut on top of their coffee with orange peels; the cinnamon was mild but did overpower the remainder of the flavors (as expected). Great coffee and the egg muffins are made to order! They use fresh ingredients and the egg was actually seasoned. You can add on avocado and tomato for extra. Popular place in downtown redmond! With such high reviews had to give it a go. They have a decent offering of baked goods, breakfast items and of course coffees. Ordered a caramel latte ; (16oz largest they go) one hot and one iced. The iced was great, good flavor. The hot left a little something to be desired, had a good velvet quality but (1) came out at what I would consider a kid's drink temperature (note get it extra hot next time) and (2) had a nutty flavor I wasn't expecting, most likely due to their caramel sauce. I got a mocha and it was made perfectly, with a nice touch of latte art as well. The seating area is large with plenty of seating, but I didn't like that the music was too loud, so don't expect to be able to take a professional meeting here. Another thing to note - this seems to be linked to a church because they were playing Christian pop the entire time I was there, and I also saw posters for church in the bathroom. I don't think there's a better coffee place than 5 Stones in the Redmond area. Their Hazelnut Mocha and Hazelnut Latte both are delicious. This is the first time I tried Kouign-amann. I enjoyed every morsel of it - definitely an amazing pastry. My only regret is that they couldn't warm it up given the closing time. I believe it might be a seasonal thing and it may not always be available. The place has a good sitting area and I always see people coming here and working.Good environment to work. Love at first sip! Stoped in here for a quick snack and drinks. I think a sign that the espresso will be good is if they serve it with a glass of sparkling water. My husband puts the espresso at the top of his list of favorites. He had a cookie dough croissant that he said was good but very sweet. I had a maple scone and hot Assam tea. Both were excellent. If we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely stop here. I would love to try more things on the menu. It is bustling with lots of young people. There are always plenty of seats when I go in the mornings, but around 8:30/9:00 it starts getting busier.
