It was thin and my roll was cold. The onion rings were cooked perfectly. They were great. Staff was friendly. The kids' crab rolls looked good and the boys were happy with them. I was a little jealous to be honest. My son said his clam basket was delicious. He was thrilled. This is a food truck - which is absolutely fine, and fun. It's in a parking lot so zero ambiance. Again, okay. That's not why we came. But just so you're aware.

There should be a line around the Water Store to get a taste of Len's clam strip bellies, a possible mix of corn and pastry flour with no excess, form fitting like 90s spandex. Soaked in something wonderful, Len's head is always up and smiling between dunks and plating. I've had fried clams all over the country - Tacoma to Texas - and with Casco Bay where the water runs thru just next to us, there's that little grit of freshly dug clams. The clams that were lying just below the sandy surface a day ago and the tides right, so, shucked this very morning. It's like kissing the bay, the full bellied clam bite with a deep fried finish - delicious from start to finish.

We arrived close to closing time so they didn't have much lobster left. I ordered a lobster roll with mayo and a crab roll. My meal also came with chips and a soda. (My hubby can't eat shellfish so he ordered a hot dog meal.) I would recommend this food establishment if you love lobster. This was the first lobster roll I have ever eaten. I'm now a huge fan! Recently I just wanted some chips and guac, and realized as I opened the bag: neither are homemade. And, I get it, it's a small food truck turning over lots of orders quickly. The chips are for sure store bought, and the guacamole's consistency (quite pureed) and flavor (none) just reminded me of those little plastic cups you peel back the covering on from like Sabra or Wholly. We spoke to so many catering managers and Rollin Smoke had the best prices by almost $1000. There were no issues with them. They even paused their prep because my bridal party had to walk through and their staff were all VERY respectful. Our experienced coordinators told us the Rollin Smoke staff were great, which is a high compliment! 2 of my family members did say they had a dry piece of chicken, but everyone else spoke highly, so it may have been a fluke in consistency. The potato salad and corn bread were INCREDIBLE. The vegetarian option was a hit among our vegetarian crowd. I tried some and it was good and reminded me of artichoke hearts. They left our venue super clean and even helped with a little bussing which was above and beyond what we hired them for. If we have another event in the future, I would hire them in a heartbeat!
