You HAVE to try their homemade hummus plate--it's that good! If I could, I'd eat four of them (if…read moremy stomach and wallet allowed it). But seriously, if you're a hummus fan, do yourself a favor and order it. My wife and I visited for an employee outing, and we were impressed. The staff was friendly and efficient, quickly taking and delivering drink orders. Our group ordered several appetizers, all of which arrived in a reasonable time. I sampled a few chicken wings, but I mainly focused on my pita and hummus plate--and I'm glad I did! Having spent time in the Middle East, I know what freshly made hummus tastes like, and this did not disappoint. It was served with carrots, Greek black olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a drizzle of Greek olive oil seasoned with pepper. The pepper-infused olive oil added a whole new depth of flavor--something I'd never had before. After one bite, my wife and a few of her coworkers instantly regretted not ordering it themselves. Being the generous guy I am, I shared a little... but not too much! The prices were reasonable, and the quality matched what you'd expect from a great Greek restaurant. I'd love to go back and explore more of the menu, though due to dietary restrictions, I won't be able to indulge in the pizza that everyone raves about. But if it's anything like the hummus, I can only imagine how good it must be!

The waitress was very nice as we were talking and took a minute to order. My friend and I ordered the Beef Gyro and we split a small fry. My other friend ordered the Murphy sandwich. Our general consensus is it was just ok. The Gyro were very messy to eat and the meat was strange looking and to the taste neither one of us knew what it was. The fries were hot. I ordered a burger and fries to go and my son was very disappointed as well. He didn't even eat it. This is probably a one and done for me. I really wanted it to be better than it is.

There's a reason we keep coming back - the food and service. The ambiance is ok. Basic tables and chairs and some "circus" type of decorations on the wall. They have a pretty consistent menu that really hasn't changed, at least not that I have noticed. They have "signature" sandwiches or you can build your own. They have hot and cold deli sandwiches available. They also have wedge fries that are oven baked. Family favorites; Sonny's Supreme and the classic italian. I also also love their breakfast sandwich options. They have a cooler of beverages. My favorite is Fresca. A soda I never have at home and I soda I always buy when I can at a deli. Pairs perfectly. Don't sleep on the sweets for sale by the register. The cookies and whoopie pies are usally tasty. The staff seems consistent - hardworking, customer service oriented and nice to interact with. They keep the simple dining area as clean as they are able - during the lunch hours during the week - this place is always packed!!! Wow...it's great to see and hope this means this buiness will stay around for years to come. Parking - many parking options within .5 mile from the location. We still visit here and we still recommend it to family and friends.

It will ALWAYS hold a soft spot in my heart; and, even on it's worst days, it's still a "five star" in my opinion. If you're from the area, it was most likely yours or your friends first job in high school. And their terrible and wonderful local-feeling commercials probably still make you smile. This specific location was the one I both started and ended my life in L/A with. I grew up having awesome birthday parties here, and as an adult it was my go-to for late night grub as it was one of the ONLY places in L/A that served food until 11pm on weekdays/12am on weekends. Segue... Sam's is very, very distinct. Once you've had a Sam's pizza or Italian, you can identify it by smell alone thereafter (and it becomes something you bond over with other people from-but-no-longer-living-in the area). No one in the world quite makes a fried eggplant and pickle pizza like Sam's does, I'll tell ya that. And, they OFTEN have awesome coupons in their flyers (free fries with a large pizza, $3 off your order, etc.), so what more could you ask for?

Both were very pleasant and every time a meal was ready from the kitchen, you could hear them say thank you to the cooking crew. The menu options are pretty standard and the prices are reasonable. Not only is the "standard" menu amazing and varied but there are also always a lot of specials to peruse. The hardest part is deciding what to order. Don't worry: I don't think there's a bad choice. Today I opted for the Monte cristo. Yum!! Perfect blend of sweet and savory. Coffee cup never runs dry - always appreciated. Cash is preferred (and there is an ATM on site) but cards are accepted.
