Really wanted another lobster roll without the wait. The wait was just a few minutes. The lobster roll was good. Could it have had more lobster...yes! Could it have been bigger for the price ...yes! It wasn't cheap! But it was a solid lobster roll over all!

The lunch special was a good deal but the lobster roll is not anything fancy or super stand out. Fast service but not place to sit

This place has the best lobster rolls in town. We love the classic rolls, and we also have tried the tarragon mayo and warm butter rolls. The lobster here is super fresh, and the rolls are buttery and soft. They also come with free chips which is a nice combination. They also have great clam chowder and blueberry pie if you need something else to compliment your meal. You can pick these up super fast and have a nice picnic in the park!

Got a cold day after Thanksgiving sandwich. It was soooo good. Would definitely eat it again. Friendly service at the counter and I got my sandwich quickly! We also got pizza around the corner at Downeast Pizza. It was amazing.

We rolled in today and grabbed the box lunch, dinner, which consisted of a lobster roll, clam chowder, and fresh blueberry pie. All of this came in a nice box to launch that we were able to take away and eat at a nearby park. I've never had a lobster roll, but I've always wanted to try one. Let me tell you some thing I should've been eating lobster rolls every week for the last 20 something years because they are absolutely delicious. We tried the warm rolls that were drenched in butter... Holy *#$! This was absolutely fantastic and was a complete home run. If you are in the Bar Harbor area, you need to check this place out because it is fantastic.

Nice local take out deli with friendly customer service. The sandwiches are huge. The pasta salad is great. Perfect for a quick lunch on a park bench. Try the blueberry pie for dessert.

Worst chicken wrap - bacon chicken ranch. Only the bacon was edible

Staff were friendly and they have some nice baked goods, a breakfast menu, and a large menu of sandwiches both hot and cold as well as make your own options. We were pleasantly surprised to find seating…read moreupstairs, and I completely understand that with full service and a nice view, you're going to pay a little more. The view was nice once our table was cleaned, and the service was friendly and attentive overall. The reason for three stars is really the food. Nothing was terrible, but unfortunately, nothing was very good either. As a longtime restaurant owner, what stood out to me was the lack of attention to detail and the overall quality and quantity of the proteins and ingredients. I have no problem paying $15 for a simple sandwich if it's executed well. But little things add up: a tiny bag of chips, a very small pickle portion, minimal meat, minimal kraut, minimal sauce. It felt like every possible quarter was being shaved off the plate. I understand how difficult it is to make money in restaurants right now, but at some point the guest notices. I ordered the hot Reuben. It really wasn't hot, the bread wasn't crisp, the cheese wasn't properly melted, and the meat quality was fairly lackluster. There simply wasn't much meat, kraut, or sauce to make it feel like a satisfying Reuben. My wife ordered the chicken, artichoke and pesto sandwich. Again, the execution was the issue. The pesto wasn't spread evenly from edge to edge, the cheese wasn't melted, the sandwich wasn't particularly hot, and there were only a couple small pieces of artichoke. That's probably what disappointed me most. These are relatively simple sandwiches, and simple food can be fantastic when the basics are done correctly: crisp the bread, melt the cheese, distribute the condiments evenly, use enough filling, and cut and plate the sandwich with a little care. Those small details make a huge difference. We also had two non-alcoholic beers at $8 each. That isn't outrageous, especially in a tourist area with a view, but $16 for two cans of NA beer still feels like it's pushing the upper end of reasonable. The service was good, the staff was friendly, and the upstairs view was enjoyable. I just wish the same level of care had gone into the sandwiches. I don't write reviews every time I'm disappointed, but after owning a restaurant and responding personally to customer reviews for more than 12 years, I tend to notice these things. Hopefully this is taken as constructive feedback, because the fundamentals here are very fixable.

I got a caprese pizza, with fresh basil and balsamic glaze on top. The dough was hand stretched and created, and made to order. The wait was a little long, and the staff moved a touch slow- but I considered this the pace of the state, and as an out-of-towner, I just waited patiently and explore the rest of the offerings. They had a FULL liquor store inside this gas station. As a NYer, this was insane to see- they had scotch, vodka, etc- everything you could want! There was a nice coffee station, milkshake machine, etc. It was so good, we went here again a second day to get sandwiches for the road. They also had a good supply of Humpty Dumpty chips in a flavor called AAll-Dressed. These were life changing. I bought ALL of the bags they had (only 4 left) and ate one on the drive home, and another that evening at the next hotel. This place is clean, accommodating, has a lot to offer, so if you are going to picnic at Acadia or just want to stock your campsite- this is a great place for everything, and to get some fresh-made and affordable food.

When we arrived, not only was our food not ready -- they hadn't even started making it. I showed the employee the "your order is ready" text, and he hit me with the classic "we don't control those texts," which is corporate‑theater nonsense. If Harvest Moon wants to impress corporate, here's a tip: actually make the food instead of sending out fantasy notifications. While waiting, another employee gave me the "we'll bring your food to you" line, paired with the subtle-but-not-subtle annoyance of someone who thinks you're inconveniencing them by existing. Since I was only waiting because they hadn't made the food they claimed was ready, I stepped outside, came back, and they were still mid‑sandwich. Eventually, after watching them wrap all three, I escaped. Now for the part they do excel at: the sandwiches were fantastic. Our Reubens were warm, flavorful, and satisfying -- lively rye, great sauce, and a crisp, refreshing pickle. As for ambiance, I didn't dine in, but the interior color scheme is pleasant and modern enough that I wouldn't mind eating there... assuming the food is actually ready when they say it is. Great sandwiches. Fictional readiness texts. Slow service. Pickles worth the wait.
