Love me a good sandwich for lunch! Must try: thanksgiving day after sandwich was so damn good! I got the cold one, but they also offer a hot one. I thought cheese would be weird on this so I asked for it without cheese. I'm also not a huge fan of mayo but knew this sandwich needed it so I got it with light mayo. This was so damn good. Perfect ratio of all ingredients and was a thick boy! High quality ingredients all around (stuffing, thick cut turkey, cranberry sauce, bread) The country bread was also nice and soft, perfect bread for this sandwich. I went right in on a Sunday afternoon, placed my order and was out in under 5 minutes. Sandwiches did seem a little higher priced, but for the location and high quality, I see why. Great spot to grab for lunch and walk down by the water and have a picnic. Highly recommend! read more

This place has the best lobster rolls in town. We love the classic rolls, and we also have tried the tarragon mayo and warm butter rolls. The lobster here is super fresh, and the rolls are buttery and soft. They also come with free chips which is a nice combination. They also have great clam chowder and blueberry pie if you need something else to compliment your meal. You can pick these up super fast and have a nice picnic in the park! read more

Stopped by this little gem to grab some sandwiches. We had a Turkey and Provolone, Caesar chicken wrap, chicken avocado ranch wrap. They were all very fresh and delicious. We also had a piece of their homemade blueberry pie, it was decadent. This is a great place to go grab some sandwiches and head to the harbor area and sit on the grass and enjoy the views. read more

It probably means something where is a constant line out the door at one place, and every other place in the area is wide open...I have to agree with the crowd. We had two lobster rolls, warm and the tarragon mayo, both were delicious. It's a smaller roll here which is great so the focus is the lobster. Wish we had found this sooner as the prices for the rolls are way cheaper than other bar harbor spots ($25 here). For sure recommend, and would be back if we stayed longer. We rolled in today and grabbed the box lunch, dinner, which consisted of a lobster roll, clam chowder, and fresh blueberry pie. All of this came in a nice box to launch that we were able to take away and eat at a nearby park. I've never had a lobster roll, but I've always wanted to try one. Let me tell you some thing I should've been eating lobster rolls every week for the last 20 something years because they are absolutely delicious. We tried the warm rolls that were drenched in butter... Holy *#$! This was absolutely fantastic and was a complete home run. If you are in the Bar Harbor area, you need to check this place out because it is fantastic. read more

I was searching for a quick bite to eat after being at Acadia all day. I was walking around Bar Harbor and saw the deli so I popped in. At first look they had an expansive menu, so I was definitely excited about the options. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap and it was ready in record time, so I got a bit nervous! I took the wrap back to my hotel. At first sight, one of the wrap ends was open and all the contents were pouring out. One bite and spit it out - one of the worst foods I had ever had in my life. I tried one more time and it was completely inedible. I unwrapped the wrap and ate the bacon. Everything else inside was a no-go. I was furious on the $10+ dollars I had just spent. Our bike tour guide recommended this place and it was truly a hit!! Despite the line out the door and with takeout only ... we totally enjoyed the lobster roll, clam chowder and blueberry pie special ($34.95). So, so good!!! No frills deli counter with no seating there, but our orders came out quickly. We walked down the street to sit in the shade at the park and enjoyed our super fresh and yummy lobster rolls (mine warm with butter and DH's naked) ... along with the creamy clam chowder and blueberry pie to finish things off. They opened while we were finishing coffees from Stadium so we decided to grab provisions for biking in Acadia. I ordered turkey & Swiss on rye, roast beef on Kaiser with horseradish mayo, I wanted a side bean salad but they were out so I got the coleslaw instead, it was really good! We enjoyed the sandwiches, they were big enough to share with satisfaction, had the leftover one the next day. Great value, quick & friendly service, highly recommend. read more

Great place to grab sandwiches! I went once last year to get lunch off the cruise boat to take into Acadia. Came back this summer for a whole week and got to go sandwiches 3 times. You can either call them in the morning before, stop in the day before, or stop by the day of to order. Note that they only pick up the phone during off peak hours. Staff are super nice. The sandwiches are generous portions and so filling. They hit just right after a long hike or bike ride. They have gluten free buns and will change gloves for you if you have celiacs. Don't be intimidated if you see a big line out the door. These folks know how to whip through a line like lightening. They are soooooo fast. I 10 out of 10 recommend this place for to go lunch and will definitely go back the next time I'm in town. read more

I needed a sandwich to take with me on the CAT ferry so I picked one up at the Downeast Deli on Main Street. This is in the thick of tourist traffic, with a line out the door on a Saturday at lunchtime. Despite the line, things move quickly and efficiently, almost not enough time to take in the extensive sandwich menu. I ordered a Turkey " Rachel " which is a Reuben with coleslaw and several fresh breads to choose from. I can't over emphasize how delicious the turkey itself was. Thick, juicy and generously portioned. Of course they also have lobster rolls and chowder, and as if that weren't enough, salads and baked potatoes. I would definitely go back. read more

I can't express more how much I love this sandwich shop during my stay in Bar Harbor. The shop is small and you might miss it if you are anxiously looking for food, but I am glad that I didn't. The service was really fast. Although you cannot sit in to eat, why don't you try eating in the park around the corner with good views and street music? I ordered Deli sandwich for dinner one evening and came back for the lobster roll on the second morning. The deli was extremely tasty, with an exquisite balance of "juicy level", flavor and texture. The lobster roll was also a best morning treat :) Robin consistently showed her smile when I asked for recommendation. As I ordered coffee, she honestly let me know the time the coffee was made in case I didn't like long-roasted coffee. She cares about customers, and hence she deserves our appreciation. read more

Doesn't look like much when you see it on the corner amongst all the cute little shops and tourist stores, but their $31.95 meal special sign caught our attention, and we decided to give it a shot. As other reviews mentioned, the Lobster Roll was smaller than expected but was so full of delicious chunks of fresh and full of flavor lobster meat on a soft yummy roll (yes, hot dog size) that we forgave the size, lol. The meal came with a clam chowder that was hot and delicious! And - I'm not kidding, the best Blueberry pie and most delicious flaky crust ever! So don't let the little corner shop with no ambiance keto you from going in & getting the best meal around!!! read more

Cute little sandwich and salad shop. Really not much seating, in fact, right now none. COVID policy, only two persons at a time for take-out orders only. Fine with us, better safe than sorry. We ordered a chicken salad wrap with the fixin's lettuce, tomato and cheese. Also a BLT on buttered and toasted marble rye. Both efficiently served in a box along with a bay of Lays and dill pickle wedge. Added two side salads, an Italian Macaroni and a fresh fruit salad along with an iced tea & Dr Peppa. The sever and chef extremely friendly and happy people. The day in the great metropolis of Bar Harbor was superb. So out we went with our boxes, turned the corner, crossed the street, and we were in the Harbor side park. Up on a hilltop with a commanding view of the picturesque Harbor and docks. We kicked back on a bench and enjoyed our splendid sandwiches. As for the side salads, they had to wait for the evening. Nuthin' coulda' ben fina' in Ba Haba!!! read more

Amazing sandwiches! We took ours into the park to eat and they stayed great for hours in our cooler. I will say the shop is easy to miss. At first we thought it was the pizza place because they have the same logo and name but turned the corner to see the sandwich shop was open. Simple sandwich shop with no seating, just walk up to the counter and order. You have to wait outside and they bring your food out. We ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich and had to wait about 15 minutes. I wanna say majority of their sandwiches were about $15. The sandwich was large and full, easily shared between my husband and I. Plus it came with a bag of chips. We walked over and enjoyed our sandwich at the park close by. Great lunch! read more

Was told by a couple folks to stop in for their well priced lobster roll. At the time we went the line was less than 10 minutes and was worth the wait. This place was SO impressive! We walked in there before heading into the park for the day (we made the mistake of going in empty-handed the day before) and they had our freshly made sandwiches ready for us (and our chips) before we even finished paying. After a long hike, I can not even begin to describe how great these tasted. I got the ham and cheese with gluten free bread and it was delicious. They were not shy (at all) with the amount of meat that they gave us and the prices were more than reasonable. Their staff was exceptionally kind. Walked in because it advertised a $25 lobster roll, and we're happy to see a deal called the "Downeast Delite" which includes a lobster roll, cup of new england clam chowder, and a slice of pie for 35 dollars! Lobster roll is very tasty and included a good amount of lobster. Clam chowder is EXCELLENT! Blueberry pie was delicious. Lobster stew is good, and I plan to dip bread in it. Very buttery.
