Dot's was recommended by the staff at our hotel and we found it about 5 minutes down the road from where we stayed. It's a really cute little market with tons of grab and go items, drinks, and sundries but also a thriving deli and bakery counter. We showed up during a rush and there were like 20 people in line, it moved fairly quickly and we ordered a veggie frittata, a ham and cheese panini, and a slice of a Maine Blueberry Huckle Pie I believe and it was moist and decadent and really, really good. My husband loved it. They had pasta salad, chicken salad, breakfast burritos, breakfast biscuits, and tons and tons of baked goodies. I wanted to try cookies and muffins, and cakes and some of the other items but, we'd already indulged in a few other stores so, we stuck with our breakfast items and the Blueberry Huckle Cake slice. Loved it. Parking can be tight but, you can invent a spot as long as you aren't blocking someone in and it seems to work out. read more

Could not be a better place to grab food from by my favorite little 'secret spot' beach. There's a really cute wicker/art installment right in the front parking lot to greet you and the whole place has a supports local art vibe. I've liked every single thing I've had from here. I've tried all of their sandwiches and there's not a bad choice out of the bunch . The roasted vegetable one is out of this world, I could actually eat it every day. They also sell baked treats, hot foods, bagged/fancy snacks and home goods. The teenage women running the coffee/hot drink area don't know what they are doing. They first didn't stir the matcha, then called me hypocritical after I asked to have less ice. They made the cup about 3/4 ice and proceeded to not stir the matcha, neither add an amount of the syrup that they were supposed to. They said that more ice was " more volume ", and refused to give me the oat milk that I asked them for when they didn't fully fill the cup, I don't see the reason in this because the hot matcha and iced matcha are the same price, yet the hot matcha has everything I asked for, fully filled, but just warm. They also looked over to their boss like I was trying to scam them. Get better service for your younger employees who think that their ego is more important than your products. They make it so the only good thing about Dots is the location. They also were making loud noises in the background and not paying attention to what they were doing, along with going through social media during shifts. read more

We stopped in for espresso, which was excellent, and ended up buying picnic lunch goodies as well as food for dinner on the road. The pastries all looked delicious and the ones we bought were wonderful. The selection of gluten-free pastries was almost overwhelming, and the choices we made were delicious. The blueberry bbq rubbed pork ribs were excellent, and the sourdough chicken and cheese sandwich was perfect. All of the sraff was helpful and enjoying their day. An absolutely adorable market place to get some fresh baked goods, sandwiches and breakfast. They also sell wine by the bottle and other local goods. Traveling the coast from Bar Harbor to Portland and we needed a bathroom and snack. We were tickled to have found this gem of a spot on our route. When we walked in, we were greeted with the most amazing aroma and struggled to make our choices from the plentiful fresh baked yummies. We settled on a couple of cookies (molasses was divine), the blueberry crumble bar (delicious), the blueberry cream cheese coffee cake (full of so much yuminess) and the bacon, cheddar, scallion scone (phenomenal). We all wish we had longer in the area to try more. There's also an adorable shop attached to the bakery full of cute kitchen and home items, specialty foods and wines. Her next move should be outdoor seating on a patio! The parking lot is pretty big and was full! It is an awesome summer vacation place to get your morning bakery splurge, drink coffee, read a paper and meet locals as well as other vacationers. And to get a packed lunch for the ferry ride to the island, bring your lunch to the vineyard nearby, or load your pack for one of the hiking trails! It's also fantastic for the locals.
