Guys! I'm so mad that we didn't order more food while here because seeing what other people got around us, it looked FIREEE! I saw this place when we first got to Maine and never forgot about it because I am a giant soft serve fan and they boast 24 different flavors of soft serve!!!! This was our 4th and last stop on our Maine Ice Cream Trek and it did not disappoint. After very long and drawn out deliberation, I decided to try the English Toffee flavor and my wife got the Dragon's Blood soft serve flavor. Both were so good but that Dragon's Blood was out of this world!! I had never had the flavor before and it blew my mind. We also got fries to make sure we made it home to eat and they were the best fries we had in Maine for our entire trip and my wife LOVES fries so that's a very nice compliment. We almost ordered a second serving. There is plenty of covered seating outside but no inside seating so it gave a well catered picnic vibe. I will say it was hard for us to find because the map didn't realize where it was. We had to drive around a bit to find it but it's next to the gas station/convenience store that Maps takes you to. I would absolutely go out of my way to go to Seaside Dairy Bar the next time we're in Maine. It's well worth it! read more

Had the lobster roll with butter and a side of onion rings. It was cooked well and the meat was tender. The lobster roll was not soaked in butter and the onion rings had a crunchy breading . My wife had blueberry ice cream and loved it. They had a man playing guitar who was quite good. Really good roadside restaurant that you can visit before or after visiting the Bass Harbor lighthouse. read more

You have to visit this place. It is amazing. Seafood is fresh and well prepared; and the you can find whatever flavor ice cream you want. I know it looks sketchy when you driving by it since it is a food truck looking place behind an old gas station. However, don't judge the book by its cover. Looks sketchy but.... my family and I ate here for dinner after a long travel day. We had the shrimp and chicken basket, and a cheese burger with onion rings. All the food was delicious!! There was a hole in the wall place with a fire pit and corn hole boards. It is an eat outside only place and it was chilly so I was thankful for the fire pit that day. Would have only been better if the outdoor heaters were lit. Otherwise, friendly people who were working and they were giving the kids free Halloween candy. read more

I had a hot buttered lobster roll that was one of the best ever! It was next to a gas station and I did NOT want to eat there because there was traffic and no view but OMG it was delicious. I would go back in a HEARTBEAT for another of these lobster rolls. I also enjoyed the skinny fries. My friend had the cheeseburger which had a cute presentation and a nice delicious bun. Great stop for fried haddock sandwiches and a slice of homemade blueberry pie on the way from the lighthouse. Sometimes the simple on the side of the road places are the best. Large menu offering burgers, chicken, seafood, soft serve ice cream and more. The fried haddock sandwiches were so good. The haddock was so thick and flaky with a light crispy batter. Perfect after a long day hiking in Acadia National Park. Want something different? Try a haddock Reuben. With dressing and cole slaw on rye, so unique and so delicious. Sandwiches are served with a bag of chips or add an order of fries. Don't forget the malt vinegar. Seating is the parking lot on picnic tables. On a Tuesday night, they had a local band playing as well. Nice stop for a laid back family dinner...and don't forget the blueberry pie. read more

The lobster rolls were worth waiting for. It was nice to sit in the open air tables and relax while our food was prepared.

Haddock sandwich - either fried or blackened, is a total winner. Their tartar sauce is perfectly complimentary. The lobster roll is amazing as well. Clam belly special was seasoned well, not greasy and pairs so well with their tartar sauce. Simple, very fresh and totally tasty seafood. And when they have blueberry pie, ask for it with the local Gifford's blueberry ice cream. It's a great combination. read more

What a find! Not in the most appealing or pleasant setting (behind a gas station/convenience store) but the set up is nice and clean and comfortable. The staff very friendly. Huge tent for shade with lots of picnic tables. We consider ourselves true ice cream lovers and that's why we stopped here and we were not disappointed! Who knew soft serve could be so many flavors! An interesting concept....they have 2 base flavors of soft serve, chocolate and vanilla, and then tons of flavors to combine to make your flavor of choice. I had chocolate(plain) and coconut (made with the vanilla) and then they combined the 2 and it was excellent!!! My husband had the same thing except with banana. He loved it! They also have a good variety of regular ice cream. Even though we didn't eat a meal here, the ones we saw being delivered to other customers looked really good. This may be a roadside stand with outdoor seating only at the picnic tables, but it isn't something to skip. If you need a meal or a treat during your excursions at Acadia, I highly recommend this place! I didn't get any ice cream but they have quite the selection and everything looked tasty! Creative list of flavors for sure. I did have the Fried Haddock burger and it was amazing. The tartar sauce must be homemade because I have never had anything that flavorful. We stopped here after our going to the lighthouse. The different flavors of soft serve were delicious and if you were trying to have a lunch the menu had a lot of variety and was reasonably priced! My partner had the blueberry soft serve and I had the tutti frutti. Recommend both! read more

July 12, 2022 we ordered the combination fried seafood platter. The scallops and the few clams were overcooked and tasted awful. The shrimp and haddock pieces were soso. I do not recommend any fried food from this establishment. The rest of the menu I have no opinion since I did not order anything else. read more

i will start by saying that although I chose two, I really wanted to go with just a single star. upon arrival I noticed a polite yet highly irritated overdressed female, tourists and a confused man. I was not addressed and no one spoke to either of the other customers waiting. 7ish moments later the female was served one, I repeat one small sized soft served ice cream on a cone. at this point I moved closer to the take-out style order window. I can now see that there are at least three employees "working". two of whom are standing as still as the man and myself and still not saying hello or coming right up. eventually the man received his order and I was able to place mine. as I ordered two ice creams the woman at the register turned and walked away as if she wasn't taking my order. I left a 20 dollar bill underneath a drink mat inside the window. minutes later I heard "we don't have vanilla ice cream, do you like pistachio"? this too me is extremely strange. pistachio is in no way similar to vanilla. Having had worked in numerous restaurants and service positions the server should know if one of the most ordered flavors has run out. it's a one person job that should be done in less then half the time. the place wouldn't make it one day in a populated location. step it up! read more
