My son recently had dental work here. He was previously on my insurance (dad) but has since aged up and is no longer eligible for my insurance. However, he has a great job with a computer company in San Francisco and has good insurance including dental coverage. I received an email from Acree Dentistry stating I owed $290 for his care. I called them and explained that he had his own insurance now and offered to pay the $290 which I would then collect from him so they could settle the bill. The lady I spoke to said that would not be necessary and they would email him to get his insurance information. I told them he travels and is often out of the country. She said, "No problem." The next day I got an email stating they had been unable to contact him and I still owed the $290. I was a little surprised since I told him he is out of the country and I even offered to pay the day before. The very next day I got a letter demanding payment threatening to send me to collections. So, I paid the $290. However, I'm a little annoyed as I was charged for someone else's dental care and was sent a collection letter even after I offered to pay. This place, hands down is the best dentist I have ever been to. Dentist that I have used in the past have always been decent, no horror stories, but at the same time nothing to write home about either until now. All of the staff is pleasant and great to work with. Teeth cleaning is phenomenal. It will sound funny and perhaps trivial however they always know when to use the sucker. In previous dentists they use it so sparingly that I have to swallow my saliva more often than not. That is not the case here. It may sound weird or TMI, but it's all the little things (such as this) that turn a mediocre visit into a great one and have me looking forward to my next visit. read more

Diane was my hygienist for my Thursday cleaning. She was friendly, communicated what she was doing effectively, turned on my massage on my chair, was quick and didn't hurt me, and told me that I don't need to change my brushing routine because she didn't have to do much work. She also updated my Xrays which required Dr. I taking a look because they found a spot that will need a filling. Yikes! Front office staff was friendly and personal as usual. Always a good experience! Even looking forward to my return visit in a couple weeks. read more

After unfortunately having to find a new dentist, I thought I'd share my experience I had with Acree-Isenhower. I became a patient here after Dr. Valentine retired, and was reluctant as he was the only dentist I ever had. However, A-I made the transition pretty smooth. The office is really top notch, as is the equipment. The dentist and hygienists were always solid. What we did have problems with was the scheduling. They improved with time, but we had multiple times where they canceled appointments on us last minute. Also, we had a family member at A-I have a appointment 6 months ago where no cavities had to be filled, and our new dentist recommended 6. Not sure where the truth lies, but something odd about that. Also, this is a busy office, so the dentist is pretty brief in his interactions. We probably would have stayed here but they recently dropped out of the delta dental PPO network. So, be advised if you have that insurance. They are also on the high side price wise. Probably closer to a 3.5/5. The good: Nice office, good dentists and hygienists The bad: Scheduling, expensive, no delta ppo. read more

If you have been putting off going to the dentist because of Covid, as I did, be reassured that they are taking every precaution to keep you and themselves safe. Masks are required. Social distance inside is required. You keep your mask on except during the procedure. I just had my teeth cleaned, x-rays and dental exam. I went to Dr Acree to have an extraction, and he did an excellent job. His back staff and hygienists are kind and informative as well. I do however, have to mention that there is a young blonde woman at the front desk that is extremely unfriendly....to the point of being rude. It is rare that I leave reviews here, but after spending many many dollars at this practice, I would expect a friendly front desk person. It would be in their best interest to review what people are experiencing as soon as they come in the front door. read more

I will be honest I hate going to the dentist but since it is a necessary evil you might as well go to a nice updated and friendly place. I got my cleaning and examinations done here and they definitely take their time on their patients and do a thorough examination which is great! I wouldn't want to be rushed out like I've experience at other dental offices. I also got my wisdom tooth extracted here by Dr. Acree, and I never ever would of thought I can do it in office and awake!! There was 0% pain, and I couldn't believe it!!
