As we looked around, numerous guests were already seated and being served food, which made the situation even more confusing. What made the experience worse was the way it was handled. The staff member we spoke with was rude and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome rather than valued as potential customers. We completely understand that restaurants can have policies regarding reservations, especially on busy holidays, but there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that to guests. We were looking forward to celebrating Father's Day together, and instead we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. The poor customer service left a bad taste in our mouths and unfortunately overshadowed what should have been a special family occasion.

Locals and staff alike are quick to share stories and recommendations, which makes it feel like you're part of the community even if you're just passing through. They've got a wood-burning pizza oven (yes, in a general store, how cool is that?), hot lattes, teas, and other comforting drinks, because nothing beats sipping a latte in a Victorian-style shop while digging into a fresh out of the wood burning oven gooey cheesy slice of pizza.
