Breaking Café Coffee roastery, Café, and bakery located in Downtown Belfast that shares a storefront w/ CG Bikes. The Good: *Bought a bag of their medium roast Tanzania Peaberry coffee, and it was really good. *Great location along the Belfast Harbor *Scones passed the approval of Carissa's dad. The Meh: *Parking can be very tricky here at the Ha'bor. The Ugly: *We went back to get her dad more scones and were met with the rudest employee. All we did was ask if they had any scones, and we were met with a nasty scowl and a rude, condescending response of, "If it's not in the case, then we're out." Well excuse the fuck out of us. Clearly, you don't like business, and we're more than happy to oblige. Conclusion: One bad apple spoils the bunch.

Staying in the apartment above this coffee shop, so we have these everyday. Can also attest to the deliciousness of the chocolate cherry scone

Incredible barista, baker, and checkout experience. They hit the mark in every area. You will not be disappointed. Got the sour and chive scone and blueberry muffin. They were so good we went back and got two more scones. The maple spice syrup is delicious and perfect for fall. Got it in a cappuccino and my boyfriend got a cortado. Both great. Aesthetic. Perfect.

Coffee was great. However, Bit of an attitude from the girl being the counter because I brought my dog in. Despite it being a service dog. She never asked. She just assumed and told me "no dogs allowed" then told me to leave and she would bring coffee out. Honey cake was delish. First time trying that. Apparently, it is a thing here.

Best coffee in Belfast. Really good cookies and scones, too. Comfy seating in Adirondack chairs outside. A couple of tables inside.

Service, ambiance and food 5 stars. We recently had a…read morefabulous Middle Eastern dinner. Ordered the lamb with Orzo... mouth watering with incredible taste snd texture, falafel (Best ever and as a New Yorker of the Jewish persuasion I've eaten a lot of falafel) was incredibly moist. The accoutrements that went with it were outstanding and tasty as well. The three of us shared those two entrées as well as the beet salad which was scrumptious. The cocktails were fabulous... We enjoyed the margaritas which were fruity, flavorful and refreshing . For dessert, we shared the chocolate Babka . Don't tell my Bubbie that it was even better than hers. The only disappointment is that they close for the season, and that's what makes the place extra special for us . See you next year !

We were turned away because we did not have a reservation, despite seeing that many tables were empty throughout the restaurant. As we looked around, numerous guests were already seated and being served food, which made the situation even more confusing. What made the experience worse was the way it was handled. The staff member we spoke with was rude and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome rather than valued as potential customers. We completely understand that restaurants can have policies regarding reservations, especially on busy holidays, but there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that to guests. We were looking forward to celebrating Father's Day together, and instead we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. The poor customer service left a bad taste in our mouths and unfortunately overshadowed what should have been a special family occasion.

The storefront is adorable with its red barn color and Victorian vibe, and inside you'll find cozy seating areas both indoors and outdoors, perfect for lingering a bit after shopping. The staff here are beyond friendly and helpful. In fact, this is the very place where the "blueberry pie survey" happened. We asked the lady behind the register where to find the best blueberry pie, and she started to ask customers who came by who they recommended. They directed us to Moody's Diner. Locals and staff alike are quick to share stories and recommendations, which makes it feel like you're part of the community even if you're just passing through. The store itself is full of surprises. They've got a wood-burning pizza oven (yes, in a general store, how cool is that?), hot lattes, teas, and other comforting drinks, because nothing beats sipping a latte in a Victorian-style shop while digging into a fresh out of the wood burning oven gooey cheesy slice of pizza. Add in their great selection of beer and wine, plus Maine classics like whoopie pies and Moxie soda, and you've got something for everyone. A local gentleman even gave me the full history of Moxie, and that kind of friendliness is exactly what makes this place so special. Outside, you'll find pretty flowers and herbs adding to the charm. Owen's is quaint, welcoming, and one of those stops that makes a Maine trip extra memorable. Definitely worth a visit or 5! I'll most def be going back!
