My friends introduced me to this restaurant. Overall they did not disappoint. The drinks were excellent and the food was tasty. I took away a star for the fried green tomatoes and the lemon pepper okra. They both lacked flavor.

Good place, especially given the area. For downtown Dallas, GA, it's an up-class Americana place: the menu is burgers, fries, salads, sandwiches, tacos, etc. The food is well done. They have numerous gluten-free options, and they're careful and particular about not mixing gluten-free and gluten foods. Grateful for their particular care. Portion size is fairly large; we ate there for a late lunch, and I didn't eat the rest of the day. I recommend the Frisco burger; it was delicious, good-sized. Sweet potato fries were great, too. Service is gracious and kind; our server was very on top of keeping our drinks filled, answering questions, and doing it all with a kind attitude. Atmosphere is cool, overall. The building itself clearly used to be some kind of workshop or garage or something, and they've kept enough of that old style and mixed it with a hefty overhaul featuring light, wood, and black trim. The dining room is one big box room lined with booths on one side, a bar on the other, and tables in between. Can be a bit loud, but normal for a restaurant. We went at 2 in the afternoon, and it was still half full, so I imagine you'll expect to wait if you come at peak times. Sign of something good going on here, right? Kids get a menu with a maze and a drawing their can color; they get a three-pack of crayons. Nice touch. Bathrooms are two single-seaters for the whole restaurant, so you might need to wait a moment if you have to go. I didn't see any baby-changing stations, but there is room on the bathroom counter. Prices are a bit high but fair. With a non-alcoholic drink, you're looking at about $20/person before tip. It was the two of us and a child, and our bill was $55 plus tip. All in all a good deal, especially for Downtown Dallas, which could use some upscaling. Worth supporting this business if you like good food, want to help local Dallas, and just generally want an enjoyable time. I wasn't blown away, but I was impressed and pleased. Will probably frequent again. Menu has just the right mix of things you want to try and regular things you'll want to stick to. They do have specials that rotate in and out.

Lunch date at Downtown Eats in Dallas, GA My wife and I had an amazing lunch at Downtown Eats in Dallas. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with a side of Brussels sprouts--everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The chicken was juicy with a perfect crunch, and the Brussels sprouts were beautifully roasted and full of flavor. My wife had the smash burger with truffle fries, and it was equally impressive. The burger had great texture and flavor, and the fries were perfectly crisp with a delicious hint of truffle. Friendly service, great vibe, and top-notch food. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area!

Absolutely Amazing!!! Just what Dallas, GA needed: a really nice restaurant/bar suitable for friends, family and colleagues! The staff is super nice and the food is DELICIOUS! They have a nice porch on the back for nice weather days! I can't wait to go back and share this gem with my family!

We tried Downtown Cafe for the first time for a weekend lunch and enjoyed ourselves. We ordered a patty melt w/ fries, salmon BLT w/ side salad, and banana pudding for dessert. All of it was great, cooked properly, and nicely presented. Our server was very nice and efficient. The place was clean and the vibe was relaxed. My only complaint, and I know that it's a difficult one to control, was the flies; they were a real problem at our table and I saw lots of other people swatting them at their table. This is something that really needs to be worked on.

First time in today and it was nice. Parking onsite and friendly staff and the food was great. I had the bbq brisket quesadillas off the app menu with a side of balsamic honey sriracha Brussels sprouts. My friend had the same side and the Monte Cristo. She tried the peanut espresso martini and I had a lemon drop martini. We cleaned out plates lol. Food came out hot and was fresh. I asked for a drink that the bartender didn't know but he looked it up and gave it a go which I appreciated because he could've just said no. The place is cute and comfy, but not basic by any means. I'll definitely try them again as the menu has several items that caught my eye,

Upon entering we noticed immediately how cramped and tight it felt. Previous visits were open and relaxe. Today we felt tight and rushed. With the loss of an entire dining room, on a busy Saturday Winter morning, no waiting room at the front door, it was stress immediately because everyone was shoulder to shoulder and even the tables are really close together. Other patrons mentioned the same feeling as we were basically sitting at the waiting area. I don't pretend to know why this change was made. Perhaps it was a business necessity or a temporary situation. What I do know is that it isn't working for atmospheres. I truly enjoyed the feel of it. I have places I brunch where that togetherness dining works so it isn't a crowd issue for me. The Junction in Charleston is a great example of close dining that works. My breakfast was good but husband's scrambled eggs were too scrambled and dry. It only appeared as one egg also. Their grits had a great creaminess and my sourdough was awesome. It has one entrance, shared with an old folks' home, and no light. Depending on the time of day, turning left out of the entrance is a nightmare, and sometimes turning right is, too, because of the volume of traffic. 2) They use those little tablets on the tables, so when you pay with your credit card, you can't always get a paper receipt, which I like. Speaking of the tablets, some of the tables are in places where you can't see a TV, which is plenty fine by me; most of the TVs are around the bar, so it's nice to sit with my family with no distractions. Food was delicious. I got ribs, and they literally did fall off the bone when I pick them up to try to eat them; ended up using my fork quite a bit. Again, that's a compliment. Excellent service. I had Suarez, and I recommend him. Very friendly; anticipated my needs before I had them; he brought me extra wet-naps for those ribs, extra condiments, extra drinks, and all without me ever asking for a thing. When he packed up my to-go items, he stacked them in the bag neatly so they wouldn't spill or everything. Sophia, the manager, also came around. Good portion size with the food. They were generous with their rolls and cinnamon butter both. Fantastic sweet potato; great side and recommended. They do have a to-go pick-up window that I saw numerous people use. Very impressed with this location. Recommended.
