What should have been a straightforward key fob addition to our new-to-us 2022 Lexus RX350 turned…read moreinto a challenge. Eithan arrived on time and went right to work on a task he has performed many times before. Felt like a quick service call and task completion. However, the aftermarket key fob he has used many times before would not be accepted by the vehicle. Eithan tried every trick and method to get the fob paired to the car but to no avail. He then recommended a different fob model that should work but had to be ordered. Returning the next day with the new fob model he dived into the task. The car was not happy and rejected that device as well..... That left going the OEM route which is really rare. Turns out the 2022 RX350 requires a specific part/sub part model which was successfully ordered. With the OEM part in hand (the next day!), he not only started the pairing programming task but called a Lexus dealership to confirm the unique part number required. This took all of 20 minutes and there was a "jump for joy" when we had a working second key. Thanks, Eithan, for sticking with the challenge and educating along the way.
