They were so nice, worked hard and took care of all of my items, And took the little extra time to make sure everything was secure in their truck. Very Disappointing Experience, Be Careful With the Good Greek Movers…read more My experience with Good Greek Movers was extremely disappointing. During the initial phone conversations, I was given rate expectations that ultimately did not match what I was charged. In my experience, the price discussed over the phone was nowhere close to the final cost, so I strongly recommend getting every detail of the pricing and services in writing before committing. I was also given the impression that Good Greek was handling the move directly and that the movers and equipment were their own. When I later asked about this, I was told by the truck drivers that the company did own the equipment, but that the actual moving services could be performed by contracted crews. That distinction was not made clear to me when I was making my decision especially since they SHOUT we are not brokers, which could be true but operate the same. Another concern was the way competitors were discussed during the sales process. I was told negative things about other moving companies, to make me more confident in choosing Good Greek. They never spoke about their goodness alone, it was always in comparison to other companies. Even when I was told they price match, they pick apart everything, a simple typo to NOT deliver a one to one contract Do not assume that the initial phone quote is the amount you will ultimately pay. Ask for a detailed written estimate and get all additional fees and potential rate changes explained before agreeing to the move. I would not use them again based on my experience, and I recommend that anyone considering them do their due diligence and get the final pricing and terms in writing.

1. Completely misleading pricing. Based on their quote I was expecting a $1500-2000 move. It came…read morein at over $5300. They advertise $179 per hour but then tack on 1.5x for anything over 8hrs and then charge an extra 25% for basically no reason for EVERYTHING except to false advertise at lower rate. Then they don't send enough guys to do the job so a 6-8 hour job turns into 14.5 hrs. 2. The truck they sent was too small as well. So on top of paying 3x for the job, it was only 85% complete. I have a 300lb armoir cabinet sitting in my kitchen and a huge table in my garage. Thanks assholes. Save the hard stuff for last. 3. If they are gonna give you an estimate, it should list the expected number of hours and material charges. These guys tacked on $1000 for tape, bubble rap and boxes. Absurd. Management should had an idea of how long the job will take and relay that to the customer. The guys doing the job weren't that bad but it shouldn't have been 14.5 hours and they shouldn't have left the heaviest items at my place. I feel the management is at fault here for trying to milk every hour they can at overtime and then tack on 25% just because. Sorry Good Greek, you're just as bad as the rest of them.
