But as she got busier, I had to be more open with the other ladies and gentlemen handling my hair. My mom and grandparents see her also, so every time I go in they always ask me how my family is doing. I've always loved the cuts that I get at Downtown Studio, but this Friday Ashly really outdid herself. I am absolutely in love with the work she did on my hair. It looks like something I would find on Pinterest, not in real life on my head. I have been wanting a hair change for awhile. Last week I had lunch with a friend, and her hair looked amazing - cut and highlights. She recommended Candice, and said she had been seeing her for about 15 years. I showed Candice some pics on my phone, so she could get an idea of what I wanted. I am beyond thrilled. I wanted a cut, easy to style with just my fingers and blow dryer. I wanted highlights. Nothing too drastic, that would look unkempt, if I didn't get back for a touch up, pronto. I started coming to Ashley based on a recommendation from a friend, and the first time I went to her she cut my hair phenomenally. When I went to see her I asked her if she could touch up my ombre, and she told me that she could do it. I called a month in advance on March 23 to make reservations for April 23, as it was my birthday and a week before my college grad pictures. Ashley booked me and another person at the same time. She did not do my hair correctly and she left bleach in my hair for 55 minutes and completely ignored me while she did and entire cut wash and style on another client. When she was finished with my hair there was a very noticeable line. I then called and scheduled to go in and have her fix my hair on the following Wednesday, as I didn't have time before my bday party. Ashley then texted me the morning of that she was running late, and proceed to completely destroy my hair by leaving bleach on my hair again for 30 minute. I am a natural blonde and I've never left bleach on longer than 20 mins at the most! She bleached one side of my hair completely while the other side was dirty blonde. While she was washing my hair she even asked Candice if she should tone my hair and Candice said no. The result was a completely uneven orange and yellow color. It was probably because Ashley was too worried about a dog that came in and she was playing on her phone instead of actually trying to fix her mistake. It also looked like Cruella De Ville met the Cheetah Girls. I called the salon and got a refund but Candice basically insinuated that I was lying about the entire thing. I am happy they gave me my refund, but they wasted my money, my time, and they never looked at me as a client only a paycheck. They never apologized to me or showed any kind of remorse. Avoid this place at all costs because the customer service reeks. I will let my pictures speak for themselves. If you're a blonde please go somewhere else! Edit: I would also like to add that after posting this review as well as a Facebook review, that Candice then started harassing my friend (on 5/3) who fixed my hair through a private message on Facebook. She started accusing us of slander and harassment. This just goes to show what kind of people run this place. read more

I went on a Thursday at 3:30 for a walk-in but the doors were locked. The hours said 10-7ish but I didn't know "ish" closed three and a half hours early. There was no sign indicating a reason for the early closer. read more

I moved to the area a few years ago and was shopping when I met Whitney with this awesome hair color. She was polite and sweet handed me her card and I asked around and heard nothing but amazing things about her! So I booked my appointment and got my hair cut by her. Got my haircut by Whitney today and am hooked! She was great - very nice person and she did an amazing job with my hair. I can't stop looking in the mirror! The salon itself is nice - warm atmosphere with an eclectic decor. I also thought the prices were incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality of service received. This salon is one of Rosenberg's hidden gems. I will definitely be returning. read more

TERRIBLE PLACE! They will overcharge you. No one there has any idea what they are doing and what prices are what. I went in for a highlight and left there and could not even tell my hair had changed at all. I was also overcharged. The lady gave me a price at the door when I came in and then charged me another when I was checking out. Also, the prices on their website are ALSO different. I tried to tell them about the pricing issue and the owner just yelled at me; so I paid and got the HELL out of there. I have heard tons of horror stories since about this place and I would NOT recommend ANYONE go there. BEWARE!!! read more

I had an appointment with Candace based on a friends recommendation. I received a phone call from the studio one and half hours before my appointment saying Candice was running behind. I was told to use another stylist and when I asked for a recommendation of someone very experienced I was told they are all good. So I asked to schedule on another day and was told Candace was too busy and not accepting new clients anyway. I would have been happy to have come later that day or another day or to have been given a name of another stylist in the salon, but I guess they don't want any new business. read more

Whitney is one of the sweetest, most talented people I know and she would NEVER treat any client (new or old) without the utmost respect. She goes out of her way to accommodate each and every one of her clients. Every time I go, whether it's for a cut or highlights, she takes her time and makes me feel like I'm the most important client she has. Candice (the owner) runs a first class salon that strives to exceed customer expectations. I love the beautiful atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone who works there. Brandell says "too bad for Whitney because I'm a loyal customer and a good tipper". I say she's lucky that you totally overreacted and left. OK, went today for cut and color only. 2nd time there. Should have been $95 as posted on their website and their literature in store. Hairdresser charged $115 at first. I questioned this as I only had a cut, color & blow dry. She reduced it to $100. Never explained any extra charges to me & I didn't have anything extra done. Still don't know why she charged more. Very disappointed. read more

This salon messed up my hair. They tried to get me to come in a 3rd time, yes I said it 3 times to get it fixed. Should have been corrected on my second visit. Who was gonna pay my gas to come back a 3rd time huh?! Answer me that? I gave the girl a chance to fix my bayalage on my 2nd visit but that didn't happen. They know who's writing this because I called the owner to talk to her. She suggested coming in the third time. She said she was going to call me back, never did. She was understanding & acted like she wanted to help. Then I feel my phone calls were being avoided. ------Waste of my time & money. ------- I was even super nice about it when I could have been a real b*#$&. On a positive note, The gal that did my hair was very friendly & super sweet. I liked her a lot. This place isn't cheap, I lost out on $150. Keepin it real here.. so this salon is absolutely beautiful inside, I give them that much. So I havent had my hair colored in a year and I was soo excited to make an appointment and this local salon. I usually drive about an hour away to get my hair done. First off they offer you something to drink like coke, wine, etc. Which is awesome..really pulls customers in. But this was the problem.. i didnt get what I asked for at all. I wanted blended blonde highlights throughout my medium brown hair but my results were a few ORANGE streaks. Im not even kidding! Literally orange. I didnt recognize how horrible it was till afterwards when I was at a restaurant in brighter lighting. I was soo disappointed because I didnt notice it while I was there to have it fixed then...and I didnt want to go back because honestly none of these women seemed open to happily fix a mistake without jacking up your hair more. They were the type of salon to get you in and out asap to get the next client in the seat. I say this because ive had my hair colored several times and never once has my hair been in foils for only 10 MINUTES!!! There was no time or effort put into my hair. BUT wait.. it gets worse. I had a friend getting her hair done with me with another stylist and she to had the same issue. The foils werent left in her hair long enough and you seriously couldnt see a difference in her before and after results. But thats not it.. theres more! My friend was paying for both of our hair jobs as a gift. She was done before me and paid for it all before I was done (big mistake) neither one of us got our hair cut only the ends trimmed and we were charged $50 a piece for hair cuts plus whatever was paid for the color jobs. My friend thought I was going to get my hair cut thats what she thought the extra $$ was for. When I got home I looked on this web site and the prices for a trim was not $50!!! That was the price for a cut and blow out. SO PLEASE ANYONE IF YOU RISK GOING HERE LOOK AT THE PRICES ON THE WEBSITE BEFORE YOU GO AND MAKE SURE YOURE NOT GETTING RIPPED OFF. Not to mention when I got home my boyfriend thought I did my hair myself.. yes it was that bad. I so bad wanted to go back to the salon for a refund but judging by how money hungry the owner is... not worth it. Better luck next time. read more
