I bought two Groupons: a pedicure for me and a mani/pedi for my boyfriend. I scheduled my pedicure for one week and his appointment for the following week. When I went in for my pedicure, the employee redeemed the wrong Groupon -- she used the mani/pedi one instead of the pedicure-only one. I didn't realize it at the time. I asked for French tips and was told it would be a $10 upcharge, which I paid with tip. The nails looked fine at first, but once I got home I noticed the French tips were sloppy. The next week, I brought my boyfriend in for his mani/pedi. At the front desk, they told me the Groupon had already been redeemed and claimed it was for a pedicure only. I explained that their coworker redeemed the wrong Groupon the week before and that I only received a pedicure. They refused to believe me, even after I showed them my nails and explained there was clearly no manicure done. I even spoke to the employee who redeemed the Groupon, but she denied remembering me. Another employee insisted there was "no way" the wrong Groupon could've been redeemed because they always confirm services -- which absolutely did not happen. I had also called ahead and clearly stated I was only coming in for a pedicure. After going back and forth for over 10 minutes, I showed them my feet, and suddenly the nail tech remembered me and confirmed I only received a pedicure. Even then, they still tried to avoid honoring my boyfriend's service and continued blaming me for their employee's mistake. In the end, they finally did his nails, but the quality was poor. Overall, terrible customer service, no accountability, and sloppy work. I would not return or recommend this place. read more

I had a Groupon (regular spa and manicure) so I came by on a Saturday night. For those who are curious, regular spa and manicure is just the polish. I decided to upgrade my manicure to gel which was $10 extra. I was seated as soon as I walked in and the ladies working here were nice and welcoming- they provided me with a bottle of water. The highlight of the spa experience here was the massage. Niuka (the nail tech) massaged my arms, hands, and legs and it felt amazing! Overall, my hands and feet were done pretty nicely! The only downside was the quality of the nail polish. As my manicure was getting done, the layering of the polish wasn't looking very good and I was starting to get nervous. Thankfully Niuka worked her magic so everything turned out okay but even after a couple days after, there were parts of the polish that were starting to chip off. I came in on Monday early afternoon. I noticed it was only 3 women workers in. when I walked in, One was sitting on the chair scrolling through her phone, and the other two were standing up talking to each other. One of the ladies broke the conversation and asked me how can she help me which I responded? Hi, I'm here to get a pedicure. The same lady said sorry we can't help you today. We won't have enough time. I looked around and noticed they had no customers at all and said oh OK and I turned around and left. Maybe it was the color of my skin, but she did not bother to let me know that they were closing early or they had a party coming just that they were not going to service me. Mind you it was almost 1 PM on a Monday. This says a lot. don't waste your money here, especially if you have the same skintone as me. read more

Well the folks were really nice, but this is about the worst gel manicure I've ever had. The polish is blobbed on so that each mail is round on top like little mounds. There is no polish on the edges of my nails, but there is polish on my cuticles. Again, they were nice enough. Maybe they can't see up close? I've only had it a day and am going to get it removed. The client before me had hers removed before she left the salon, for the sane reason. It's sad, because they were nice. But I did come gif the manicure. read more

This is more so me following my hair stylist wherever she goes! Amanda has been my hair stylist since I can remember! I've never trusted anyone with my hair so when she moved out here, I for sure followed. The salon is a bit hidden on 529, so make sure you're on the look out! It's located in a plaza next to a gas station! I've missed it a couple of times. Haha My first visit here was great. Service was very hands on and detailed. Got my hair cut, washed, colored, the whole shabang! I can go from blonde to brunette within hours! I've recently gone back to the dark side thanks to Amanda and it looked great! Chopped a few inches of dead damaged hair as well. The best part is when she washes my hair! It's so oddly satisfying and relaxing. Scalp massage is a must! I've also met the owner, she's super sweet. Always a smile on her face! I haven't had any other services here besides hair related. Believe they do mani/pedi, waxing, and massages too. I feel like They will treat you different if you buy their Groupon. I showed the lady exactly what I wanted. It was a simple short cut...it wasn't as short as I wanted it at all. When I told her I wanted it shorter, she got annoyed. She said "I asked you if you wanted it longer in the front and you said yes." I told her yes because that's what the picture showed. I also told her I wanted a little bit of layering. She grabbed a piece of my hair and said "if you want it shorter, this is all I'm gonna cut." I just told her that's fine because I honestly just wanted her to leave my hair alone. No layers, not as short as I want, and just doesn't look good. read more

This place made Girls Day a nightmare. The atmosphere is chaotic at best. Not a "spa" type of place, where you feel serene and pampered. They tried hiking the price that was paid through Groupon. The cut and color was all wrong. One side of my daughter's hair is longer than the other (and that's not what we were wanting). Several pictures were given for the cut and the color. But, the end result was far from what was requested, even with the pictures. Will NEVER go there again. I suggest you find another place to go for Girls Day..or any day. read more

So I got the first deal which was haircut, blow dry & deep conditioner for like $22. It said they require an appointment so when I called and asked for any availability, they were nice enough to squeeze me in but as soon as I mentioned the groupon deal, the lady on the phone hung up on me.... LIKE ??? I called back & I guess it was the same lady & she was talking to me all rudely. So luckily I was able to get my groupon deal refunded & advise anyone that wants to get a haircut here to go elsewhere. I was highly disappointed in their customer service bc I've come here before for a haircut w Amanda but wow, never again. Once upon a time, she worked in an exclusive salon in Memorial, near River Oaks. She also owned a salon in Katy. She cut the hair of a lot of famous people. She has a lot of experience and talent, so if you need a cut or a new look, go see her. The difference is in the details. She was cutting my hair, and I was thinking, "well, that's probably it," but no, she kept going, refining and adjusting until it was perfect in her view. Very nice work. read more
