I HAD to go to Doxa twice. Once was good the other was life altering. Tl;dr the coffee is good but stick with the classics. The first time I went with my kids I was curious about the location but the pictures looked good so I wanted to try. The interior is VERY cool. Modern, minimalist and industrial. It would be a great place to chill. I wanted to try the coffee so I got their specialty drink which was espresso, seltzer and some cranberry. It was live changingly gross. The color was brown, it was sweet and bitter and fruity and earthy in all the wrong ways. BUT I'm not a quitter. Small businesses need to be supported so I decided to go back. And I did yesterday. The atmosphere was as relaxed and hip as last time. There were even other babies there. This time I got a cappuccino. It was delicious. A very classic and beautiful example of the drink. It was smooth and creamy. Very milk with a hint of the deep toasty flavor coffee gets when Pared with milk. Bravo. I will definitely be back. read more

Stopped in here on our way to Gainesville. Such a cool vibe inside and the baristas were so nice. My husband ordered the nitro cold brew and I ordered a latte. Both were amazing and they were using Bandit coffee beans. My husband is a nerd about coffee so he is always into what beans people are using. The place is super modern and what people in Jersey would call "hipster". The drinks were great. I went with my sister in law and her friend and we all enjoyed our coffees. The pricing is on the higher end side but this isn't your generic Dunkin Donuts and I can honestly say it was worth it. The coffee and decor/vibes of this place were on point. Cute little coffee spot in Alachua. Everything in here is super clean and the decor is very modern which makes it an ideal space to study or get work done. There is plenty of seating, and some spots do have outlets. I asked for a matcha latte even though it wasn't on the menu, and they were happy to make jt for me! They even have dairy-free milk options including oat milk, which I was surprised to find. I wish they would move to Gainesville because we need a nice, aesthetically-pleasing coffee spot like this one! read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Gainesville! (technically it is a bit outside of Gainesville, but worth the drive) The space is beautiful and open, allowing guests to have plenty of space to work or study with their friends. The staff is really friendly and kind. Open to chatting with guests and giving wonderful drink recommendations. I really enjoy their pour overs, but they always have an assortment of specialty/seasonal drink options that are yummy. This is great local spot and I cannot sing enough of their praises. I loved coming here, truly. I was so glad I live 5 minutes away because nothing beats the ambiance this place has and the coffee, of course, is great. The service was great too until today. I brought my family from out of town and I was so excited to show them this place. While receiving our coffee, I picked up one of the hot brews we ordered (by the cup, not the lid!) and the lid wasn't put on properly which resulted in the cup bending and the hot coffee spilling all over my hands, my sister's arms and my husband's hands that was trying to help hold the cup. The barista behind the counter looked at us as if we were the ones at fault. He didn't ask if we were okay at all after being covered with extremely hot coffee. We tried wiping it up and the entire time, the workers made it seem as if we were the ones that messed up. I loved coming here every weekend but this ordeal has put such a bad taste in my mouth. read more

From its ultra urban industrial interior design to the cozy overstuff couches in the loft atop the spiral staircase this place has it all. Plenty of charging stations if you are there to work or just relax. Prices are a bit high compared to a fast food/coffee type establishments but right in line with Ellianos or Starbucks and you definitely get what you pay for. Great place to study. Came here with friends on a Thursday afternoon and there were a few customers so not too busy. I'm assuming most people come in the morning time since they open early and close at 4pm. The staff is informative and quick. I came specifically to try their specialty drinks for the summer. My favorites are the italian cream soda and guava soda. Super refreshing. The italian cream soda is subtle sweet and aesthetically pleasing drink to look at because its too pretty. The layout is minimalistic, which I adore, and its very clean. I love the little loft upstairs! Definitely would recommend to students looking to venture out of Gainesville for a new study spot. read more

Disgusting and overpriced! Took 25 minutes and all of our coffees tasted awful. We didn't even finish. Almost $7 for a vanilla latte w/ almond milk and I didn't taste a hint of vanilla or even sweetener. It was so disgustingly bland. My daughter ordered a peppermint mocha w/ almond milk and it tasted like toothpaste. I'd heard good things so was excited to try it, but never again! read more

WONDERFUL PLACE!! Highly recommend!! the atmosphere is peaceful, and perfect for studying or just chilling. Comfortable furniture. Clean bathrooms with high quality soap and very soft toilet paper. (Specific, i know). The workers are so nice and the lady was very welcoming! I tried their tea and soda. The pomegranate soda tastes fresh, crisp, and sweet. Like it came straight out of a flower.
