    Chicken ParmaZone
    Jacob C.

I went to this place a lot 2 years ago and the food was pretty good. I went recently and the quality has decreased so much. I got the Chicken Parmazone and the BBQ chicken dunkers. The dunkers tasted like a frozen bag of tysons. The parmazone had no flavor. Their prices have gone down since they have online deals where you can get a calzone for $5-$7.

I love cheeseburg zone!! It's huge but really good! The cheese melts, flowing through the meet. That's very delicious

Great drunk food. The calzones are tasty, cheap, and huge. How can you go wrong?

Great options, not expensive, and one of the best late night drunk-munchies options in Bburg.

Terrible service. A bunch of clueless kids that don't know what they're doing and mess up every order. Calzones are ok and wings are bad.

I got the blackened mahi-mahi fish tacos, which were fine but the fish was a little overcooked. My fish could have been a little more tender, is what I'm saying to you. Most of the tacos come with cabbage, tomato, guacamole, cheese and white sauce. You can pick from flour tortillas or corn tortillas. (I picked corn tortillas, because of course.) Chips and pico de gallo are brought out to start, and the chips are dynamite. They are the type of tortilla chips that are warm and thin and crispy and hard to stop eating! I visited this restaurant with a group of people, so we got a bunch of the appetizers, beyond the chips and salsa. We got the guacamole (yum!) as well as the Baja shrimp & crab dip (so good, and served with pita bread), and the queso dip, which is just melted cheese, so you know it's really good. Cabo Fish Taco is known for their margaritas, though. This restaurant has one of the largest tequila menus in the state of Virginia! You can find 13 or more specialty margaritas on the menu, so there's something for every margarita lover. I got The Perfect Wave, which is a blend of their tequila, Cointreau and Grand Marnier. It was tasty! If the weather is nice, you should opt for the patio seating, like my party and I did! They have a huge outdoor patio, and it was nice to sit and enjoy the nice weather outdoors while eating Mexican food.

They were rude and they laughed as they handed me my subs. Giving each other looks as I ordered. I had to say hello after her approach was "what do you want". The service at firehouse was good like usual, what I particular like about fire house subs is that they donate money to fire houses and they give you a pickle with your sandwich. I got the large pub steak sub because I was feeling mighty hungry that evening. When I got it I drove home to devour this sandwich. The sandwich looked really good, lots of meat, cheese and crunch from the crispy onions. However the taste was not as good as the appearance. The first bite was nice and cheesy and so was the second and third. Then I realized all I could really taste was the cheese, and the bread. The crispy onions got soggy and lost in the cheese sauce. As for the meat, there was not too much taste to it. Overall, fire house sub is generally really good. Get any of their regular sandwiches and you would be pretty content for going there. However for their new special pub steak sub I was not a fan. I would definitely go back and get my usual sandwich which is the hook & ladder or their Italian.

We were seated immediately and helped to some menus (love the menu sooooo much)! The TV was playing White Chicks and later played Madea's Big Happy Family. Very nice selection. We got our orders taken quickly and it didn't take long for the food to come out! I got the Fish and Chips with Garlic Parmesan Fries! Both items were so nice and crispy! But be aware that the garlic Parmesan is actually a sauce and not like Garlic powder and Parmesan cheese- so it's more of a wet (but still crispy) fry. The Ginger & Mint Tea was also very yummy and refreshing- barely tasted the tea and almost tasted fizzy but nevertheless very refreshing to wash everything down. Just overall such good food and good vibes! Will be coming again and again!

***3 1/2 stars***…read more This was kind of all over the place, and a prescient reminder that sometimes you get what you pay for. My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality (down the street!) and I stopped here for a much-needed recharge after she led a comprehensive campus tour in 90-degree heat. There weren't a ton of eating options - graduation was apparently last week, and the offseason for the campus town has officially commenced - but this one looked fairly decent for what it was. The menu was also intriguing, with both sushi and Mediterranean-style cuisine. In my experience, jamming a bunch of random types of food onto a menu can be very hit or miss, but I wouldn't say that was really an issue here. We both had sticker shock or lack thereof when we looked at the cocktail menu. Margaritas are about $6, and "top shelf" ones are $8? Incredible stuff. I went with the top shelf frozen berries margaritas, and specifically requested Don Julio. That said - and maybe this is a reflection of my having a more adult palate than the college student target demo, or maybe I'm just officially a degenerate at this point - it wasn't a strong marg at all, and both of us ended up getting extra shots of Don Julio to make it taste better. So the additional tequila brought the total marg prices to $10, which is still incredible in my opinion, given what we're dealing with in the NYC metro area. Since we were on a pretty naughty vacation, I tried to tread water a bit and went with the salmon teriyaki bowl (about $20 I think). Honestly really hit the spot. The salmon was fresh/flavorful, and as you can see from the attached, a ridiculously generous portion. I wasn't in the mood for the accompanying side salad (again, I was on vacation), but the rice and salmon were a distant memory quickly enough. I was also kind of obsessed with the plate that it came on - I'm not really sure how to describe it other than that it looked like dishware you'd find in the Flintstones' house. It sort of looked like a sculpture of a piece of bent tree bark? I know, I'm not giving this justice. We also split the bang bang shrimp app, which was very good as well - maybe a TOUCH over-fried, but I think that's part of the package with the naughty appetizer section of a menu. Would get both of those items again in a heartbeat. The service was honestly pretty mediocre, and a big reason this ultimately was just an okay experience. A shame, given that we both legitimately liked the food. Our waiter was definitely confused by my chum's drink order (which, to be fair, WAS a little off the beaten path - she requested one of their non-alcoholic mango lychee lemonade, plus a separate shot of Don Julio), and our drinks ultimately showed up at the same time as our food. He also came back to our table after about 15 minutes to reconfirm her drink order. Not great, and a reminder that there's no harm in bringing a pen and a pad with you to the table. This wasn't terrible by any means, but was an uneven experience. Frankly, I think expectations should be a little tempered in a college town, where the average diner is probably in their early 20s and pretty low maintenance when it comes to their food and drink preferences. But if they figured out the service here, they'd really have something.
