Dr Feldt and staff are the BEST. Leah was spayed there without any problems. I would definitely recommend DPC for your fur baby. Seena Gardocki

So we came in today for some heartworm tests and an allergy shot. Apparently, I got the date wrong for my appointments, 2 doggies. They were so accommodating, as usual! They got us right in! Christy is the best!! She has been taking care of Cass since we started going there. Dr's Rivera and White went out of their way to take care of our babies. We are forever grateful to you all and that is one of the reasons we travel an hour and 30 minutes to come here!

DPC Veterinary hospital staff and doctors showed hospitality from the moment we enter. They are very friendly, informative caring individual. Our visit was pleasant and they comfort our pet Hibby. We were giving explanations of every step and was given instructions to follow at home. We have been coming here for years with our previous pets Moo-Moo and Gray. We come from Homestead taking about an hour getting here. We wouldn't have it any other way. We love it here. Thank you so much for caring and taking great care of our fur babies.

After being mistreated and over-charged by The VCA Animal Hospital, and thanks to the recommendation of Ashley M, my wife decided to take our fur babies here and leave the VCA behind for goods. Immediately after her first visits, she felt like she had finally found the right vet she was looking for. All the staff working here are friendly and helpful, and she really appreciate the attention and patience the vet, Dr. Michael Feldt had shown while taking care of our fur babies. Of course, other than the regular routine check-ups, we'd not want to come here unless our fur babies get sick. But if we had to take our fur babies to the vet, I'd not want to take them anywhere else but here. For example in today's visit, my wife discovered there were a couple small mass that need to be surgically removed. They first did a complete blood work in making sure our baby is okay to go into surgery. Then on the day of the surgery, we first met with the surgeon who examined our baby and gave us detail instruction on what we can expect before and after the surgery. The surgery itself might be seemed as routine because it's only expected to last 10 minutes, but as fur babies parents, we still have a little worries. But the staff and the doctors were so nice and accommodating which really put our worries behind. I am very happy to report that today's procedure went very well, and our baby is resting comfortably at home tonight. Thank you to the caring staff and the vets at the DPC Veterinary Hospital. We really appreciated for all you do.

DPC was recommended to me when we moved here, and I am so thankful for that recommendation. Dr. Feldt is the vet that we usually see and he is amazing! He is so thorough and gentle when he examines our cats and dogs. He explains everything and is receptive to all of my questions. We also saw Dr. Rivera once and she was excellent as well. The team at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. They always go above and beyond with a smile!! The nurses/techs are some of the most detailed and organized that I have encountered. And they set up catnip, toys, etc. for my cats to make their visit Fear Free! With multiple dogs and cats, having a good vet is essential, and I am thrilled with the care that our pets received at DPC.

I brought my cat in last week, and after less than 5 minutes the tech and the veterinarian told me that my cat was too crazy to examine and they would have to sedate her to examine her. I took her to another vet today and neither he nor the tech had any issues with an exam. Horrible that after less than 5 minutes they wanted to put her out to do an exam. Again the other vet I went to this week had no issues. Of course Nova still charged me for the visit.

I waited for about 10-15 minutes in the lobby before they took me to a room. Once in the room, I noticed that it wasn't the cleanest. There was some stuff on the floor and in the corners. The assistant came in to see what my visit was about. I was there for vaccinations and a wellness check. She came back a short bit later with a breakdown of the costs. I told her to move ahead. The doc came in next. She did a pretty thorough check of my pup. I inquired about the cost of a dental. They said they'd get back to me. When done, my pup got all of her vaccines, anal glands done, and a fecal test. The bill was $400ish, which I thought was pretty high. I was told to return in two weeks for the 2nd part of two of the shots. I returned and she got the shots--I was then charged $100 more. I thought I had already paid for them in the $400. Nope, so now that round of vaccines and a wellness check was now $500+!!! I used to pay less than that for TWO dogs! When I inquired about the super high charge, I was told that prices have gone up. The receptionist told me I need to get pet insurance if I had an issue with it. Unbelievable! THEN, when they gave me the cost for a dental, it was ridiculous! About $800+. I called my old vet, and the price was $400 with ALL the same items/services included. I feel like this vet is way overpriced. I'll be going back to my old vet.

My experience left me disappointed, not only because the veterinary care itself was poor, but…read morebecause the customer service and communication were lacking. From the moment I called, the front desk staff member with gray, curly/wiry hair and glasses answered the phone with an audible sigh. I initially assumed she was having a difficult day, but while sitting in the lobby I heard her answer multiple calls the same way. It set an unfortunate tone. Our appointment was scheduled for 2:45 p.m. This practice has clients wait in their vehicles until called inside. We weren't invited in until 3:00 p.m., and by 3:15 p.m. our pet hadn't even been weighed. Another client in the waiting room told us she was still waiting for her 2:15 appointment as well. I approached the front desk because I'm a doctoral student and had class obligations later in the day. I simply asked for an update so I could decide whether I needed to reschedule. Instead of receiving an estimate or an apology, I was told in a sarcastic tone that we were "third" and that others had been waiting two hours. I was also told that "when you begin doctoring" I'll understand that nail trims turn into additional questions. I cut the woman off. She seemed to want an argument; raised my voice that customer service is a simple courtesy and their issue of poor scheduling shouldn't be my problem. I'm not in veterinary school, and I have a 28-year professional career. My concern wasn't that emergencies or longer appointments happen - they absolutely do. My concern was the complete lack of communication and respect for clients' time. If the schedule is running an hour or two behind, a quick phone call or text giving clients the option to arrive later or reschedule is simply good customer service. The one bright spot was the staff member who proactively came out to swab our dog's ears before the appointment. She was kind, efficient, and clearly trying to help the veterinarians stay on schedule. She deserves recognition. Unfortunately, I also witnessed another staff member speaking to a couple with a paralyzed dog in a manner that came across as cold and lacking compassion. Whether intentional or not, bedside manner matters just as much as technical expertise. This entire experience was so upsetting, I left to wait in the car while my mom handled the appointment. Where I live, customer service is paramount (I was bringing in a pet as a favor to a family member currently traveling). I get this is South Florida, but you don't have to live the stereotype. In the end, the delays themselves weren't what disappointed me. It was the dismissive attitude, poor communication and lack of empathy. With better scheduling communication and customer service training, this practice could provide a much better client experience. Oh, and firing that horribly rude woman at the front desk. Editing to add: I'd be remiss if I didn't add, my mother was not allowed back with our pet. The vet comes out to the lobby to discuss animal condition, results, etc. When my mother mentioned he is having issues with his hind leg, she was dismissive and said nothing is wrong with it. Meanwhile, he won't put weight on the leg and has been limping for days. The idea of not being allowed to observe any part of a patient examination is mind-boggling. Yes, you won't be there for x-rays or bloodwork. That's typical. The rest of the exam? You're left wondering what even takes place.

We first brought our beloved Jack there about a month ago in a very serious condition. He was suffering from acute kidney problems in addition to advanced heart disease. The team treated him with extraordinary competence and care, and he improved enough to come home and spend three more precious weeks with our family. Those weeks meant more to us than words can describe. Unfortunately, we had to return when Jack went into severe congestive heart failure and was struggling to breathe. From the moment we arrived, everyone treated him with urgency, tenderness, and respect. They placed him in oxygen, tried to stabilize him, explained every detail honestly, and gave us the time and support we needed to face the most painful decision of our lives. Jack passed away there in my arms, exactly as I wanted: close to me, surrounded by love. My husband and our children were also able to be present and participate in saying goodbye. The staff created a peaceful, private, and loving environment for us. Even during such a heartbreaking moment, they were gentle, patient, compassionate, and deeply respectful of both Jack and our family. Today, they called to let me know that Jack's ashes had arrived and were ready to be picked up. That call brought all the pain back, but it also reminded me of how thoughtfully they cared for every part of this experience--from trying to save his life to helping us honor him after his passing. Jack was not "just a dog." He was our family, our companion, and one of the greatest loves of our lives. We will forever be grateful that, during his final moments, he was surrounded by people who understood how deeply he was loved. Thank you to every doctor, nurse, technician, and staff member who cared for Jack and supported our family.
