Where to begin…read more Short Version: Not dependable if you have a timely event (Show up late) Awful customer service once they have your money (Excuses after excuses and passes blame to the company that they subcontracted) Drivers showing up not knowing where they are supposed to go or how to get there (passengers giving turn by turn directions) Resulted in a delayed wedding Long Version: We hired McGinn to shuttle for our wedding. I booked over a year in advance seeing as every vendor wedding related seems to book up fast. They didn't require a deposit or anything and didn't want money until just before the event. Everything leading up seemed to go very smoothly. The day of the event, and leading up to, I asked for the drivers contact information. Being that I would be occupied for the day, I wanted to get this to someone in the event something went wrong. Whether he forgot, didn't have it, or was just plan sloppy, I didn't get that until half hour before the busses were supposed to arrive and by that point I was occupied with other wedding things. So the fun begins. The agreement was the busses (2 total) were leaving the hotel to drive to the venue at 4:15. No later. Any guests that were late were to find their own ride. That how we wanted it. Only one bus shows up on time. They have 15 extra guests load the busses only to kick them off because of capacity. Not a huge deal, but you would think you might count. The 2nd bus shows up 30 minutes late. I had people calling me while I was doing pictures, etc because they weren't sure if we had a ride that we promised. So we had people ordering ubers, driving when they didn't want to drive (they plan on drinking), and other standing around in confusion. Sort of embarrassing. Finally they load the 2nd bus and the bus driver has no idea where he is going. Not only lacking directions, he literally didn't know what the venue was. Passengers had to put directions into their phone and guide him. I called Jim at McGinns, my point of contact, and he decided to pass the whole thing off on traffic for being late. Guy, you run a transportation company. Its a Friday in Boston. You think you would give yourself enough time and not be shocked by some traffic. Keep in mind this was a pick up in Danvers, so not running around the streets of Boylston and normally a 25 min drive for them). The bus should have given themselves enough time to get there at 3:45 considering it also takes time to load passengers if you are leaving at 4:15. At worse the traffic doubles the time it would have taken them to get there and they still arrive at 4:15. Everyone else was on time except the bus so I'm not sure how much traffic there really was. He then wanted to pass the blame off to the company he subcontracted to. Jim, 1) not my problem we booked 1 year and advance and then you were subcontracting. 2) we sent you the money, not whoever you hired. Responsibility stays with you. Business 101. I didn't want to ask for much in return, just something for them to admit some guilt and realize they made a mistake. A couple hundred bucks wasn't going to change our lives or theirs, but I wanted to make them admit their mistakes. Anytime Jim said he would call me back, he wouldn't. He said he would have the owner call, he didn't. I can't tell if its the mistakes they made or how they handled it that were worse. STAY AWAY

He just yanked them out with a pole that had a hook on the end, picked them up and threw them. My daughter's brand new digital camera was smashed because of the driver's negligence. She didn't even get to take photos during her trip because of how the bags were thrown. She told me that the driver smashed it when they arrived on the first day of the trip. She's very upset over this, as am I, because she was not able to take photos during her week long trip. The $100 camera could be replaced, my child having photos of her and her friends on a once in a lifetime trip can not be replaced.

Healey Bus came through with a competitive rate and excellent service. I spoke with the owner once and with the dispatcher to secure our date and itinerary. Both were very polite and helpful. The bus service was one thing over which I had no control once the wedding day began, but not to worry. The bus was clean and tidy as promised. The driver arrived perfectly on time and got all our guests safely to the ceremony. He later brought everyone to and from our reception as scheduled, making multiple trips through the narrow streets of Boston without a hitch. He was very friendly, even with our bus full of loud adults who had had quite a few drinks throughout the night. Keep in mind, this is a big yellow school bus, but for us that just added to the fun. A+ service! Another note: Yes, Swampscott is a bit of a drive from Cambridge/Boston but the rates and service surpassed those of companies I had contacted in the immediate Boston area.

It's one of Massport bus station as well as a commuter train station. The reason I say MAYBE to recommending this business is sometimes you have no other options but to frequent this location. Logan Boston Airport contracted Academy Bus company after 2 other companies failed to provide Standard of Care Service and Failures To Meet EXPECTATIONS so they lost the contract. Being that 2 other companies lost work, the other bus companies DON'T like the "new kids" on the block so they make our jobs hard/frustrating. Allow me to explain the experiences we as "new kids" on the block encounter. The losers would not be courteous to us in the airport such as allow us to merge in, merge out, block us in while picking up or dropping off employees, blow, middle finger us and at Wonderland WE better behave ourselves otherwise they would report us to our company for the littlest misdeed. 99 percent of the time it's innocent/a misunderstanding but our company would get on us because Massport has the power to ban our company outta there which with enough documentation could cause Academy the contract. Let me tell the people on my platform something, EVERYTHING has a domino effect whether good or bad. One thing I know for sure, when Lady Karma comes to collect/pay out YA ASS BETTER BE LIVING RIGHT. It's raining this particular night and PAUL D with ACADEMY BUS was blocking where we drivers/face of the company need to do our job DROP and PICK simple. I promise on my deceased dog Braylon (oh how I miss my bestfriend), I didn't know he's been behaving this stupidly prior to my joining the company. I innocently asked him a very valid question "Paul, you know your in the way, we pickup here?" Paul: "I know, pull in behind me!" Just as we're talking, another one of our buses comes to drop off and because we know the Masstransit guys get irate with us, she innocently pulls in and leaves her tail swing out, she didn't want to pull up further because ITS NOT OUR DESIGNATED SECTION. As she's unloading, a Masstransport bus arrives WE'VE literally sandwiched him and his passengers in, those passengers who more than likely worked 2 jobs an average of 16 hour work day, wanna get off da dam bus! Here the "New Kids" on the preventing from SAFETY letting him SAFELY letting his passengers off the bus. HERE IS THE SITUATION I'm talking about! Paul goes over to the driver and gets on her because she should have pulled all the way up along side the curb to drop off. Never minding WE have been warned KEEP OUTTA Masstransport way! Same night, it starts raining and passengers are forced to load the buses in the rain because Paul D, in his ego refuses to move his van somewhere/anywhere else, ITS A BUS RAMP dude! Ok, from what Mike Smith (terminal manager) told me, the Government Contract required the company to hire Paul D to "Supervise the drivers", be "Security detail" and be available for the airport employees because the crime rate is HIGH at the Wonderland MBTA Station. When I'm staged waiting on my passengers, I stand at my bus door, twice I was harassed/solicited all while Paul D was sleeping in the van/in plane site! One night a stocky, highly intoxicated Colombian dude (probably American Most Wanted)with a backpack tried to solicit/ harassed me, an employee got his car broken another lady lost her keys and tried to wake Paul up and report the incident but she couldn't because Paul was catch up on his beauty sleep. The Colombian guy thought about my rejection and waited on my return, I wasn't standing outside on his return but was dropping off 3 ladies and he approached them as they were exiting my bus. Where was Paul D on each of these several incidents? Sleeping in the van/in the way/in the bus loading zone after working his other job, he was exhausted. I know Paul's job ego went and tattled on me because I ignored him because he's a bonafide IDIOT. How can I have an intelligent conversation with an idiot? How can someone that doesn't respect/do his own job/respect others ESPECIALLY an employee that makes the company money tell me my tie is crooked? Be respectful and you'll get respect. No I do not recommend this Boston Station because it's dangerous and Massachusetts does not have a concealed hand gun law, you better watch your surroundings here and don't look for Paul to assist. Here today! Gone tomorrow!

I use this station regularly, have grown up using either Boston or New York subways so I'm no novice and still somehow have trouble leaving without getting lost inside because the signs don't make sense and you keep ending up at the garage. Like all I want is a clear main entrance and exit which seems to be the one at the top with the restaurants but unfortunately adding the garage as connected, while very nice for those parking, makes this a very bizarrely "organized" station. That was a Thursday the following Monday the owner of VSP. Pulled up to my house blew the horn 3 times in a row and took off !! I just spoke with the Transportation Office from the district my son is out of, the woman called the owner of VSP and all he could come up with is saying my son has a crush on this girl ‍, my son is Developmentally delayed , I don't think he even knows what a crush is, but what does that have to do with the employee talking to a Student about whether or not I called the VSP owner or not, also what does a crush have to do with the owner blowing his horn 3 times and taking off ???? !!!!! It was an unbranded payment website, so I texted the rep a simple question about whether they took any other forms of payment than the link in the email, just out of curiosity to see if they took stripe/venmo or something more standard/safe. The rep completely blew up on me and cancelled my reservation then was aggressively calling me out over texts saying I was asking them to integrate Stripe and that they couldn't just integrate and accept any form of payment like that from a customer ask.. I was just asking a simple question, I was happy to use the provided payment processor if the answer was no, but they totally blew the whole thing up for no reason.
