So heres another one of those reviews that excites me...excites me so much that immediately after the service provided...I ran to my computer to write this review. Lets begin... My Iphone 5 phone had a cracked screen. I was horrified...I had no idea. I searched tirelessly on YELP...hoping to find a place with a great price while providing great service. In addition, I wanted to find a place that had 5 stars...nothing less. I didn't want to find a technician that fixed my phone which would cause future problems. This is what I came up with during my research period: -most private establishments will charge anywhere from $175+ -APPLE store will charge $150 (not including labor and accessories) and could go up to $300...and it would take a 2 day period to fix it as well -most places dont even work on IPHONE 5 -some places will clean the shards of glasses and glue on a screen (BIG NO!) well...not this place...not DR. APPLE OC! So why is this place awesome? -THEY DRIVE TO YOU!!?? well your probably thinking (jus as I did) that the price would be more expensive? WRONG! -THEY ONLY CHARGE $135 !! YES...out of all of searching...this place had the cheapest price...and its SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper! -they dont just replace the screen...they replace the whole panel, the home button...basically the whole front piece HUGO was my technician, he arrived and he got straight to business. He finished the job in about 20 minutes. iPhone looked brand new, he ran a few test (i.e. the home button, the speakers, the screen, and the lock, etc...) and then he left. Very very happy with the service done here...especially for the price...and especially how I didnt have to leave my house! VERY WELL RECOMMENDED! TAKE MY WORD...if you have ANY APPLE PRODUCT...and you have an issue with it...CALL DR. APPLE! I promise you there will be no disappointment! _____I highly suggest finding someone else to repair your phone's screen_____ Well I really didn't want it to have to resort to this, but i'm fed up. (Backstory) I had Hugo from Dr Apple OC come out to my house and fix my iPhone 4 screen a little over 6 months ago and everything was going great until about a month in. After about a solid month of 100% satisfaction I started noticing that there were glitching lines coming in and out of my screen. I thought it was temporary so I didn't pay much attention to it. I take care of my phone and I know for a fact it wasn't malfunctioning on my end because my last original Apple iPhone screen never did that. After about 3 months it was unbearable. Now that it has been 6 months; I have called DrApple over 20 times with them answering only about 5 times. I've left voicemails, went on the website and tried chatting with customer support. Nothing. (Recent) I called them 3 weekends ago. "We'll be in Orange County next weekend, were here in San Diego." 2 Weekends ago, "we are still here in San Diego, we will be in Orange County next week for sure." This weekend, "We have decided to move on out to San Diego." REALLY. I have had it, especially with Hugo. He has shown 0 effort in providing customer care. (Conclusion) You sold me a broken cheap, probably china mass-produced product, and I would rather have my cracked screen back. At least I can see through that. I would love to take this review down, I trust that you guys are a legit business and have served many customers with excellent care. I just haven't gotten the same effort or compassion. This has been the best iPhone screen repair experience ever. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. (I've cracked quite a few of these babies) I searched on Yelp and found Dr. Apple. I talked to Hugo and he was able to come meet me the very next day! We scheduled to meet at 10am at my work; he was here at 9:55am. The whole process literally took 30 mins and I have a functioning phone again! Fast, on time and affordable. He's also a very nice guy and was sharing stories about his family. Dr. Apple is awesome. I got my phone wet in the ocean and sand in the charger jack (phone got wet but was still working, but the charger wouldn't go in). Took it to The Mac store and said it couldn't be fixed. They said there was irreversible corrosion, and I had to get a new phone. Took it to Dr. Apple and the owner looked and saw no water damage. Sure enough there was NO CORROSION just a little sand. Fixed it for $30. Save me some serious $$$ on a new phone. Highly recommend them! read more

I dropped my iPad 2 and shattered the glass/digitizer some time back. Because I had a ZAGG shield, no pieces came out and I was able use it. The replacement was going to be expensive taking it to Apple so I thought of replacing it myself. I'm pretty good with electronics and I repaired an iPhone before so I search the internet for tutorials and parts. There was never one GOOD tutorial and as for parts, prices and quality seemed to cover a very broad range. Parts on Amazon had reviews that scared me away from going down this path. So as an avid Apple fan, sadly, Google became my friend this time in helping me find Dr. Apple. I was a bit skeptical by the low number of reviews for them but after reading the reviews, checking around some others and talking to Dr. Apple, I went with Dr. Apple. I couldn't be happier. By setting the appointment and paying for it online the fee came down from $135 to $99 out the door. They came to my place of business and had my iPad back to knew in less than an hour. I watched the steps and care they took and I was VERY impressed. Not a short cut taken at all. If there is any downside with their mobile service vs a store front, you don't get same day service but that's not enough of a knock to not give them five stars. read more

These guys are amazing! I have been searching for a decent price to fix my completely shattered iPhone 5! Ok so there are cracked phones, shattered phones, and them mine; looks like I took a hammer to it. (I didn't btw) Not only was my screen shattered but the LCD wasn't even working. Anyways everyone was giving me the run around from 200-280 dollars. To be completely honest I though this was a scam because of how cheap it was! my appt. was originally for tomorrow , but they gave me a call , and we were able to work something out. $$135 $$and in 20 minutes I was back to reality with my working iphone5 #FirstWorldProblems. I previously had posted on here what a great job Dr. Apple had done on my phone, now I take it back. I will say they were on time had got the job done the very next day after I called, which is important because I use my phone for business. Very friendly and fast but my phone didn't last very long. The screen was cracked and it needed a replacement. It looked great for 3 weeks but then my button fell off and my screen would short out flickering or going black for hours at a time. I found Dr Apple at the OC Fairgrounds and they told me they can fix may iPhone and iPad. I called to make an appointment and they gave me an appointment the same week. The good part about it was they came to me! Gave me 12-1pm window and they showed up on time! Friendly guys! They let me watch them change my screens! Received same day repair of my iPad. Hugo changed the weak battery and cracked screen in 30 minutes. This is NOT a DIY YouTube repair!!! Note: I couldn't back up the iPad b/c it was so weak and wouldn't take a charge more than 8%. I put it in the freezer for one hour and it would keep enough of a charge during the backup to my PC. Whew! (It wasn't necessary since the battery replacement would have taken care of the backup) Apple will exchange your weak battery iPad with a refurb BUT ALL of your apps and data will be lost. Call Hugo and save yourself grief. Nice and courteous and highly recommended ! read more

We coordinated our meeting at a local coffee shop by my work where he was already working on an iPad and as soon as he completed work on the iPad he began work on my phone; 30 minutes later I was out the door. This place rocks. I had an iPhone that would not charge and i needed it repaired before i left for Arizona for the weekend and HAD to have GPS. I took it down to the Apple store and the 'Genius' told me there was nothing they could do but sell me a new refurbished 4S for 200 bucks. I found Dr. Apple online and they had online Chat and were able to quote me a price on the spot and set up a time to meet the very next day when i was free. Best price I could find, fixed my phone in about 20 min while I waited, easy payment system, friendly service and quality work what else cold you ask for? My only complaint was that they ran a little late getting to my house but heck real medical doctors don't even make house calls anymore so a few extra mins wait in the comfort of my own home is better the getting stuck in traffic trying to go to them. I can't say enough positive things about Roger and Hugo. Though I hope I never have to use their services again, if any of my Apple devices need repair again, I'll be sure to call them. I had the unfortunate mishap of having had TWO iPhone 4 devices stolen during muggings 6 weeks apart -- one in New York City and one in Madrid, Spain. So a friend of mine FedExed me his used iPhone 3GS in Europe while I was living out there. When I returned to the States with the borrowed iPhone 3GS, I dropped it in the parking lot of my office and the screen shattered into a million pieces. Suffice it to say, I've had terrible luck with my iPhones! A coworker gave me the Dr. Apple business card and I called Roger. 3 hours later he was at my office putting a new screen on. The poopy part was that the original screen he put on there was not responding well. So Roger came to my home later that weekend and replaced it for me. Then, because the phone was so old, the rubber gasket started coming apart (not his fault). But Roger sent Hugo out to fix it again for me. I just bought a used iPhone 4 whose home button was broken, so Hugo came and replaced that one for me as well for much less than I would have paid at Apple. And now it's working like a charm. All in all, even with all the kinks we ran into, Roger and his team were super attentive and did everything they could to make sure I was happy and that my phones were working. Replacing my iPhone5 screen was the easiest process ever. After some extensive Google and Yelp research, I found Dr. Apple OC and came to the conclusion that they were trustworthy enough to book and pay online (you get a discount if you prepay online). Hugo showed up to my workplace today on time and had my phone repaired in 15 minutes. With no extra fee for travel, I paid $120 versus the $150+tax that Apple charges and saved myself a trip to the mall. Thanks Dr. Apple! read more

Met with them at their OC Fairgrounds location a couple of weeks ago to replace the glass on the iPad 3 that my son dropped. $99 and it was fixed in an hour. He even did a good job cleaning up all the dented corners. I was worried that they would not be able to fix it because of the corners, but I was assured it was no problem and that most of the iPads coming in for repair all have the same thing. After an hour I came back and my son's iPad was as good as new. You couldn't tell that it ever broke and the corners were in much better shape then when I dropped it off. Don't expect the corners to look as good as new, but they looked 100% better than before the repair job. I highly recommend them to fix your broken screens. read more

As I write this review, my iPhone is plugged into the wall. Why you ask? This is because after trusting Dr. Apple to fix a sticking on/off button my phone turns off (and will not turn back on unless plugged in) unexpectedly. I reached out to their representative who said it was likely a loose battery connection and was out that same day to 'fix' the problem. The next day I had the same problem happen again. It has now been 2 days since I emailed Dr. Apple telling them the 'fix' did not work. No response yet... Needless to say I am pissed.
