After having cataract surgery at Bossier Eye Institue on both eyes and advised to get a $3000…read moremultifocal lens in the better of my 2 eyes more than 6 months ago my vision still isn't clear. Laser enhancement surgery did not correct this issue and any further surgery is a bigger risk after laser surgery and is not recommended. The monofocal lens that was fully covered by insurance is perfect. I requested a partial refund and it was denied because I was told they didn't do anything wrong. The best they will do is refer me to a different doctor where insurance probably won't cover any expense and they won't help financially. The people couldn't be nicer but I'm the only 1 out $3000 under their advice to get the multifocal when the monofocal would have probably worked better or at least as well and insurance would've covered 100% of the cost. After several revisits and the eye always looking perfect it has gotten no better so something is wrong and now I'll be out more money or just have to live with it. I don't believe a partial refund was too much to ask for since I didn't do anything wrong, there is obviously a problem and they just don't know???

He may exhibit skill in the surgery room, but in the examining room, he's lacking. I saw him three times outside cataract surgery and each time I was shocked at how rude and disrespectful he was to me. My husband, who came with me to every exam, used the words "curt" and "difficult". If I had know that he had such bad bedside manners, I would never have chose him as my surgeon. There are other good eye surgeons in the area that, simultaneously, are nice people. I regret that I did not use one of them.

It was a little bit of a drive from us but it was well worth the drive. The office is cute and quiet, not the commotion like at a retail establishment in a mall or grocery store. The staff seems to be knowledgeable about their jobs. Dr. Jorgensen took plenty of time to make sure my husband and I had thorough eye exams and that we were happy with things. He sent us home with contacts to try out in order to make sure they would be good for us prior to ordering. I have been wearing reader glasses for years but thanks to Dr. Jorgensen and the changes he has made to my prescription, I have been able to almost eliminate the need for my reader glasses! When it came time to ordering our contacts, the process was super easy. They sent us a text message and email so we could just click on the provided link and pay for the contacts. Vista Vision took care of everything and all we had to do was click the link and enter our credit card information online. They filed with our insurance and everything. Absolutely no stress on our end at all and it was just so easy and simplified. I was sad about our eye doctor moving but this has been such a positive transition that it may have been a blessing in disguise. We will definitely be loyal customers to Dr. Jorgensen and Vista Vision.
