This doctor is horrible. I took my beagle there for a visit and Dr Corona spent more time accusing us of neglecting my dog than doing a proper exam. My dog had a darken stomach area and was itchy. Corona and his staff never checked for fleas and instead said it was a gastrointestinal issue related to a food allergy, prescribed some antibiotics and a change of food and sent us home. Never checked for fleas and/or anything else. About 2 weeks later and since the itch did not stop and darken stomach did not disappear I examined him for fleas and sure enough he had fleas. I took him to another vet who diagnosed him with fleas dermatitis and also asked me to get an xray of his stomach. The result of that xray was bladder cancer which just yesterday forced me to put him down. Whatever you do no not take your dog to this vet. He is not caring enough and frankly knowledgeable enough to be trusted with your pet's health. read more

I see some negative reviews here but I just want to say people write reviews when they are mad but not when they are satisfied. I have entrusted this doctor and his staff (looking at you lise) with my 3 cats several times now. Not just for blood work and nail clippings but even for major surgery when my cat mittens-chonkers was severely injured . The doctor kept me informed, lise sent me pictures and updates, I visited her and inspected the stitches as she convalesced and his recommendations were always in the best interest of my cat. I don't trust people further than I can throw them with my cats but I trust my cats with dr corona and his staff. read more

Dr. Corona seems a bit messy, stains on wrinkly scrubs. I was happy with most staff, and after a while I felt the dr. and staff were loving and caring. That is, UNTIL NOW. Electra was very nasty and insulting me. dr knows I need to go to accredited vet to clear my dog to travel with me. Electra refused to give me blood work submitted that was required by acct'd vet. Electra was so nasty, I will never return. Accredited vet said I cant even use the rabies vaccination because they Must put chip # on it. Went there many years ago. For my cat to get spayed. They said they misplaced her. I found her after searching all the rooms. Took another cat there. Dr said she had mites. Gave her medicine that bottle states for dogs only. I won't trust him at all. read more

Dr Corona has been put Ver for over 20 years... he has always been compassionate and willing to go the extra mile. When we first started seeing him he came in on a holiday weekend in the fall .... to work on our Mitzi.... the black car pictured... he saved her life! I still can't get over what he did to my cat baby. baby Was diagnosed with cancer. I brought him here for a second opinion. Dr. Corona said it wasn't cancer, just needed dental care, gave me hope. They removed his teeth and kept him for two weeks. He died a horrific death and suffered right until the end. Please, please don't take your loving pets here. That poor, poor animal. I'll never get over this traumatic experience. read more

Took my dog to board for 6 days and he got sick and no one called me. My dog ended up in kidney failure. I had to put him down. My dog has been there before and put on antibiotics without my knowledge. Never leave your dog there. My dog walked in well and I had to carry him out because he couldn't walk! Avoid this vet! Absolutely awful and a disgrace. Doesn't know how to treat animals and will misdiagnose your pet. He doesn't know anything about specific breeds or really anything about animals at all. His excuse for everything is that your pet is overweight. A joke for a vet. Stay far away! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Took my dog here a few years ago because she developed a limp in her hind leg and the office is at the end of my street. Walking distance. Dr. Corona examined her and came up with the diagnosis that she was overweight. A year later a real veterinarian attributed her limp to severe arthritis in both hips and she's been on anti inflammatory medication for over a year now and seems to be feeling much better. Before I took her to her current vet, she had an incident where she cut her front leg on something outside. It was a fairly deep gash about 2 inches long and she was bleeding a lot. This happened the day before I got paid and didn't have much money. I called Dr. Corona's office and explained the situation and told them she looked like she needed stitches. They refused to treat her until I had the money to pay for the visit up front. I get that it's a business and they can't give services away for free. But we had been there before and I had no outstanding balance. It was an emergency and she was in pain and bleeding and at risk for an infection. I don't understand how someone who cares about animals could turn an injured dog away like that. Extenuating circumstances. Anyway, now I take her to Deer Park Animal Hospital and everyone there is great and actually loves animals. read more

Took my Yorkie to have her stiches removed after knee surgery yesterday on the recco of my Vet who is geographically inconvenient. My wife and I were a little apprehensive about seeing a new Dr. after having the procedure done elsewhere. but our concerns abated upon meeting this knowledgeable, warm and friendly "regular guy". Its good to know we will be treated fairly and professionally by a local DVM who is not looking to retire on our vet bill. read more

Dr. Corona has never given me any real reason to complain- he has always treated my animals with care and dignity, and has a definate gift for animal handling. However, a few things bother me whenever I pay him a visit. Primarily the fact that he spends about....5 minutes (I timed it) with each patient. Sometimes he doesn't even say hello when he walks into the room. Also.... there is something robotic about him, if you know what I mean. he seems to do the same things over and over without giving them second thought...he somehow maintains a standard of respect but at the same time he always seems like he's on autopilot. Like i said, he has never made any mistakes with my animals, and he is respectful- just a little burned out i think. read more
