First and foremost, I want a say thank you to the management team here who allowed me to bring my cat here when they weren't taking any new customers at the time. My cat has been sick for over 2 month since we've gotten her and I was originally bringing her to Lindenhurst veterinarian based off of great reviews I seen Lindenhurst had. Lindenhurst was treating my cat for 2 months with no signs of my cat getting better and it was to the point where every visit I felt I was being over charged on top of the fact that I was putting my cat on numerous antibiotics with her not getting better. After multiple appointments and over 1,000 dollar spent with my cat not getting better I decided to bring her to twin veterinarian and it was the best decision I could of made. From the first conversation my girlfriend had with twin, I could tell my cat was in good hands. My girlfriend explained how sick our cat was and how she wasn't getting better and twin decided to treat my cat when they weren't taking any new customers due to them just being to busy and that meant a lot to me. From the first time me and my girl friend stepped in twin we could see why they weren't taking any new customers. This vet was swamped with people with there pets. The waiting area is big and they're fast getting people in and out. The staff and doctors here are very sweet and very professional. Dr Gilbert Cintron was amazing and he took his time with our cat. He didn't just take 5 mins with our cat like Lindenhurst and rush us out. He explained everything and asked us if we had any questions which I really liked. He was very professional and got to the root of our cats problem just off one visit like a good vet should. He diagnosed my cat with herpes and put her on some antibiotics and she has been doing much better. She still wheezes here and there but much better as I continue to monitor her day by day. I highly recommend this vet and I'm happy they're my go to vet now. This place is a very great vet and I'm happy we were recommended to them.

    Kona

Twins was a great vet when I brought my Kona there 14 and a half years ago. He needed very little care, except the yearly shots and dental care in Feb. The techs and the staff are super compassionate however, as my dog got older and needed additional attention , it seemed I could never get a call back from either doctor. I felt like all they wanted was to keep pushing meds without really ever searching for a reason for the problem. I highly recommend the staff at this vet, they are all supportIve and compassionate but no follow through when we really needed the support with our senior dog who was deteriorating by the month. I was always waiting for that "call back" that never came. We finally put Kona to rest with Laps of Love and this vet never reached out, just deleted Kona's info from the app. So disappointing at the end! Do better, boys!

The wound is healing well and doesn't require additional care

I found this veterinary hospital on a recommendation from a friend after have had so much bad experience at other vet. ( I live in Queens). I had a great first impression with the friendly professionalism of all their staff. My little French bulldog is just underwent a neuter operation including the removal of a cryptorchid. They also trimmed his nails and cleaned ears after the surgery without extra fee . That's beyond my expectation! Now it has been a week my little Frenchie is recovered very well and as lively and healthy as ever. What's more worth mentioning is that their price are completely affordable. Thank you so much for your taking great care of my Tucker!

    There he is

Carlos saved my body life was not eating acting right left him there they did. Complete blood x-ray he told me he was in liver failure so I was coming put him to sleep but when I got there he was all happy ready go home ask Carlos you treat him he did gave him fluid antibiotics steroid so took him home started fluid and liver supplements did blood work today blood was not yellow like then my boy back to his old self thanks to twin

Absolutely amazing vet. I love them so much. They're all so kind to my little pumpkin. I just recently got her spayed and they were so informative, kind, caring and just all around amazing. They take my "crazy pup mom " self serious no matter what my concern is. Amazing place. I highly recommend to anyone.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. First off, the place is clean which I know I may be crazy but I have heard and experienced nightmare Vet places so this place was great. Second, the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. You're asked as the first time visit if you have medical records so its always smart to bring that with you. Third, Dr. Cintron treated my cat with such kindness. He brought her a toy and even gave her a kiss on her head. For me, it warmed my heart as my cat was nervous. Also, he works with you to see if there are any problems. My cat/kitten is 6 months old and I consider her my daughter. She was given her shot and we have to go back for her to be fixed. The fee is very affordable at 86 dollars. I rarely give out 5-star reviews but I felt it necessary to tell others to bring their animals here as they love what they do and and it shows.

I've brought my dogs here since I was a child, but over the last year I've had several negative experiences. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because Dr. Terrell usually provides excellent, realistic advice. They also have a kind and professional attitude. My concerns are with the overall care and office staff. 1. On three separate occasions, they returned my dogs to me from the back covered in feces. Each time, I had to ask to clean them up. 2. They no longer show itemized bills before charging, which leads to errors. The first time this happened, I was charged for for medicine I didn't receive. When I pointed it out, I got a credit on my account. At my next visit, rather than using the credit to pay for the bill, they charged me FOR the credit, so I ended up paying them the $50 they owed me. When I explained that it was a credit, she didn't understand. Mistakes happen, but it is basic math. Please go back to showing the itemized bill before patients pay. 3. My senior dog stayed there overnight with an infection on an IV drip. They said they'd give him antibiotics. When I called the next morning and asked about it, Dr Dratch said, "what antibiotics?" Our treatment plan wasn't followed. I started to cry, and he said "no wait we did, we just forgot to write it down." I am not sure what to believe with him backtracking and I fear that they didn't give him a shot at recovering with the medicine. 4. My young dachshund showed signs of back pain, so I called for an appointment ASAP. I was told the next available slot was two days later. When I called back begging for something sooner, they moved it up by one day. That night, he became paralyzed. I rushed him to an emergency vet, who sent us to the city for immediate spinal surgery. The next day, Dr. Dratch called to check in, which was kind of him - I really appreciated it, but by then it was too late. I now know that if my dachshund had received surgery before paralysis, his chances of recovery would have been much higher (80-90% versus 50%). He might never walk or pee on his own again. I'm devastated and wish the office had conveyed how urgent this condition can be, or at least referred us to an emergency vet or neurologist. Their lack of urgency made me feel like it wasn't an emergency situation. Now, I am so heart broken. I used to travel 20-30 minutes to come here, but it's no longer worth the inconvenient travel time. I appreciate the help I used to get from the vets and office staff, but there might be some mismanagement happening. I would really look into better training for some of the newer staff.

Lol I called and explained the issue to the vet and they told me to bring him right down. Our Shiba is very picky choosy about what dogs are in his presence so they got him straight into a room too. We did luck out today, but this isn't always the case. they do have mobile appointments which do make it easy to find the next available slot without the awkwardness of going through your schedule with the lady on the phone. Outside they have doggy poop bags and a hydrant for them to what I call "check in" inside they have a human restroom and a good amount of seats in an L shape. It is a small office and small lot so please keep your fur babies in cages or leashes (especially outside, you can see the highway). The vets and employees really are kind helpful animal lovers too, so this is the only place I trust my dog with. If I can't get Yoshi in right away and he's sick, they will have the vet speak with us or they will call us back to relay information. Our Yoshi had an ear infection, and he let the vet check out his ears too, so I guess it's a 5 star review from him too (he usually needs a muzzle for the ear check, not today!)

I came on Saturday at around 8:50AM and this place is a factory. There are dozens of cats here, many of them in traps which made me really nervous. By the time I checked in, I was number 34 on the list. I can see where they say customer service is bad, there was one particular tech who was clearly not having a good day and there is no sense of professionalism as she had no problem airing out her concerns in front of customers. There were however some great techs. The two in particular who helped us were extremely friendly and even struck up a conversation with us. We left and came back 6 hours later and they gave us detailed care instructions. Even though they had to repeat the same thing 20 times, they still did so without rushing and made sure we didn't have any questions. By the end of the night, our kitten was back to normal, just a little slower than usual. By the next day, he was 100% and isn't showing any signs of bad care. Neuter seems to be a routine thing and if you're a lucky person, you'll get a friendly and courteous tech to help you. Do understand they are churning through these neuters and applications all morning long, even though that might not be a valid excuse. All in all, I would come back here again for the low cost neuter ($72 and include rabies and distemper vaccine), but not sure if I would for vet services.

After losing our old man 7/11/18 it's been one year since we lost him, we decided to stop by the shelter and fell in love with a lab named Lily. Her backstory is her old owner was moving into a new place and could not bring her. Since it was just day 2 there for her she was scared and nervous so it took some time to get her tested for food aggression, spayed and reactions around cats. We have two so it would've played a factor in the adoption process. The adoption process was more than I expected but that's okay. We had to provide a mortgage bill to prove we owned our home and if you rent you have to provide a letter notarized stating you are allowed to have a dog, provide access to your vet to ensure your current and precious animals were up to date on vaccines. This process of testing and application took about 2 weeks. The wait longer than expected but understandable. We would visit her often and unfortunately they are short staffed so sometimes we waited 5 mins other times over 40mins. One thing that was pretty disappointing was this one time there were 3 people ahead of us and 2 behind us waiting on line. This one guy who was number 5 on the line made a call while we were there and got bumped to number one on the list. Understandably at that point plenty were upset as we waited upwards of 40mins. Besides that one incident I generally had a great experience with the staff members. Just remember to be patient as sometimes you have to wait a bit but it's not their fault except for that one incident.

This review does not reflect the dogs what-so-ever, so please come visit this shelter to adopt and give these dogs a forever home/family. The sheer number of dogs that this facility has is massive and they have so many dogs to choose from big and small / young and old. We met a few dogs that we absolutely loved, but at the end of the day we ended up adopting another dog in need from another shelter because we felt the staff was a little difficult to deal with. When meeting the dogs, the staff seemed to hinder on the negatives of each dog instead of seeing how happy we were during the meet and greets. I understand they like to warn potential adopters of all possible negatives, but we felt like these employees weren't even "dog-people". Additionally, we noticed after visiting twice that many of these dogs have MULTIPLE pending applications but they don't seem to be in a rush to get them into a home. We understand that it's about finding the best home for each pet, but it's a little discouraging applying for a dog that already has 3 pending applications. Hard to believe not one of these families are qualified. I hope the facility can approve upon these things and give these dogs into the homes they deserve.
