My experience with Dr. Yi Zheng was very disappointing…read more Appointments were always late and often felt rushed. Every appointment was late, including my first visit. (more than 30 minutes late with no apology) Follow-up care was also lacking. My ultrasound results (which included medical terms I did not fully understand) were posted on the patient portal by the ultrasound provider, but Dr. Yi Zheng did not add any explanation, comments, or follow-up to help interpret the results. My endoscopy appointment was also delayed, and afterward I was not given an explanation of what was done or any immediate post-procedure discussion. Another phone appointment was automatically scheduled without discussing it with me first, and again the doctor joined the call more than 30 minutes late. The conversation lasted only a few minutes and felt rushed. In contrast, my previous gastroenterologist would speak with me before and after procedures and provide results directly through the patient portal, without needing additional billing phone visits for basic follow-up. Communication through the Tebra patient portal was also an issue, as I did not receive a response when I requested assistance and asked about changing a provider for a gastric emptying study. When I contacted the office, staff were unable to confirm whether messages are regularly reviewed by the doctor. Overall, this was one of the most unsatisfactory experiences I have had with a medical provider in terms of communication, follow-through, and coordination of care. I would not recommend this provider.

This was my second colonoscopy with Dr. Yee. My first experience, seven years ago, was not great,…read morebut I was encouraged to return to the same surgeon--and I'm glad I did. What a difference! The pre-surgery session was efficient and ran on time. Dr. Yee carefully reviewed the available options for preparation to ensure the best fit for my specific situation. As anyone who's had a colonoscopy knows, the prep is the worst part--but this time, it was much more manageable. The Tresanti Surgical Center was excellent. Check-in was seamless, and the care staff were exceptional. The anesthesiologist was extremely professional and competent. 10/10 for making a difficult process as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Very disappointing experience with Dr. Philip Yee. I was a…read morenew patient and arrived on time for my scheduled appointment. During the first part of the visit, Dr. Yee spent considerable time going over information that I had already provided on the new-patient forms. He initially said that he could not locate my previous medical records. The most difficult part of the visit was the communication. During the latter part of the appointment, when I tried to explain my concerns and ask questions, I was repeatedly interrupted and was not given a meaningful opportunity to speak. I left the appointment feeling confused and unsure about what had actually been accomplished or what I was supposed to do next. The following morning, someone from the office called and told me that Dr. Yee had located my previously unavailable records. I was asked to schedule another appointment. I did not refuse follow-up care; instead, I sent a message asking whether we could have a brief phone discussion about the newly located records and the next steps. In that same message, I also explained that I had not been able to tell the doctor during the appointment about an important medication concern because I had not been given the opportunity to discuss it. I asked for guidance and requested a short bridge prescription. I also asked that my account of the appointment be added to the medical record. Unfortunately, my message was not meaningfully addressed. I did not receive a substantive response to the concerns I raised, my medication request was not addressed, and my request to amend the clinical note was not acted upon. What bothered me most was not simply the possibility of having to pay for another appointment. It was the feeling that I had not been heard during the first appointment, and when I immediately tried to communicate my concerns afterward, they still were not addressed. I have seen many physicians over the years, and this was the first time I experienced a doctor repeatedly interrupting me and not giving me an opportunity to explain my concerns or ask questions. If you are looking for a physician who takes the time to listen, allows you to ask questions, and makes sure you understand what is happening and what to do next, my experience was very different. Based on my experience, I would not choose Dr. Yee as my physician.

Some fun art at the GI doc. Gotta love a doctor with a great sense of humor who knows his stuff!
