Been to Greg and his team and Dr. Detail at least 6x every time he has worked wonders. Had tons of dog hair in the hatch of my jeep. When I picked it up looked like it came off the car lot. Not sure about all these negative reviews. But my man is there until 9pm most nights busting his hump and doing a great job. It's hard to run a good small business like he does! Immediately no. Should've listened to the negative reviews. I took my car here and got the major surgery which is a full detail inside and outside. It was pathetic. For the price you pay, the quality of service is terrible. I've been to other spots and have gotten such better results. It was $250 I think and with tip I payed $303. I should've inspected the car more before driving away, that's on me but I panicked LOL pics are attached. Believe it or not the pics are the aftermath. I also took it to another spot to have the seats shampooed which was supposed to be included in my major surgery and the stains are completely gone (I paid this other spot 50 bucks). SMH. My husband and I have been taking our cars to Greg at Dr. Detail for about 20 years and would NEVER go anywhere else! Our cars always look spectacular inside and out. We even take them to Greg and his team for hand washing because the water at regular car washes is recycled and still very dirty. The detailing is excellent and there is never any left over wax in crevices and door jambs. I am the daughter of a classic car collector who took impeccable care of his cars so I know excellence when I see it! Got a gift card for the holidays from their local promotion. Took over a month to get an appointment, and when I told them that I had a gift card for the work the man made a point to tell me that the prices had gone up. I showed them a copy of what was included in the promotion but all they said was "yeah, wash and wax". They did an okay job on the car, but the facility is creepy and dark. They also do not open until 9:30 and are not so good at returning calls. read more

I scheduled an appointment two weeks early, showed up promptly to my time and the front door I was locked. I rang the ring doorbell and someone answered and then quickly hung up. Then I called the the number listed on the front and they tell me that they are booked up and my appointment was cancelled and I should've received an email. Edit: Greg from Dr. Detail reached out to us and was extremely kind and helpful. Upgrading to 4 stars (from two). Sounds like we may not have ordered the same service we did last year (I'm not afraid to admit when I might be wrong), but it may also not have been as thorough. Probably a combination of things. Either way, anyone who goes the extra mile to reach out (and also not respond publicly like some do...and often those ones aren't nice) is a-okay in my book! After our experience last year I was so excited to have our SUV cleaned again and pick it up. My husband grabbed it for me and this AM when I went to put our car seats back in, I was shocked. And not in a good way. The trunk wasn't touched, neither were the cup holders or door jams. It appears it was very vacuumed. So, this AM instead of drinking my coffee, I found myself getting out my cleaning wipes and re-detailing my car prior to putting my car seats in. read more

I originally took my car up to his shop to get a quote done for my g37 and my friends q50. We were quoted for a full wet sand/ paint correction, buff polish, and ceramic coat. When my buddy's car was done first it took only a day or two and it is a 2016 model with 20k on it so it was pretty clean to begin with. He was in it for the coat. I had light swirls and a few light scratches I was trying to get addressed, and the ceramic coat. When he got his car back it looked good. So I had no hesitation on taking mine as well. I dropped mine off late one night and was told about a day or so maybe 3 at the latest. It tuned into over a week my car was gone. It was a huge inconvenience with little to no communication back from the owner Greg or another guy up there who was doing our tint. After persistently calling and texting I finally got the call that my car was done and I could come pick it up. When I arrived, the car looked great from a distance. When I got up close I noticed a lot of dried/caked up wax still in the seams of my fenders, mirrors and other tight spots. That's when I became a little skeptical as he had my car for more than enough time to perfect it as advertised to me. After taking my car home for a week or so I noticed spots that didn't look right. Like some spots were wet sanded to a point and than forgotten about. I took my car to wash it after it had picked up a bunch of salt even though I was told it wouldn't stick half as bad because of the ceramic coat, but if anything I feel as though it was worse than using regular wax. I used his instructions and used a hose, with plain water and just hosed it down. DID NOT SCRUB WET!! The salt was completely gone before I took a brand new sham cloth to it and microfibers to dry and polish it i had swirls throughout all of my paint. I was so upset.. I have waxed a ton of cars in the past but never ceramic coat. I have never had anything like this happen. So from this point I contacted Greg and asked if he could take a look and help me out which at first he said, no problem. I left work early one day to take the car for him to look at. He said it was an easy fix and wouldnt cost me much to have repaired. I was ok with that, as I planned on after he detailed it to take it to shades of grey and make sure it was definitely done right. After planning out a specific friday night, a week in advance to drop my car off to Greg, he completely blew me off. I took off work early and had a friend take off as well to give me a ride. After that it was like pulling teeth to get ahold of him. At this point I reached out and told him we are unsatisfied with his services because we feel as though we did not receive the services we paid for. We even went to another detail shop that deals with several different brands of coat they use and they told us they don't know what he used but it's cheap and he didn't apply it right. In no way shape or form should our cars look the way they do after paying a decent amount of money. With that being said, Greg also told me he gave us some kind of "break" on the deal because we are friends with the guy that does his tint.. I was never told anything of the sort. The deal that was presented was that he would take off 100 total if we had two cars done at one time. I proceded to tell him that if there was an option for paying more money for better results, why would he not mention that to either of us? We would have absolutely paid more for better quality/ results of the ceramic coat as that was the whole point of this. After I asked him that question, he refused to text or call me back. So right now, we both had this done in January and have been trying to get it worked out since and no luck whatsoever. Communication, customer satisfaction/ support, cost and results are absolutely terrible. If you want true quality results and a professional that knows what he is doing and how to use the products he sells, my opinion is to stay far away from dr detail... he talks a good talk, be careful.. read more

Called and made an appointment for "minor surgery." Person who answered call was very unprofessional and curt. Told me to come in the following day to drop off car at 930. I dropped car off at 930 and was told to come back in 3-4 hours. Returned 5 hours later and my car was still where I parked it and not cleaned. Was told that the way the place works is you drop off your car and if it is seen it is seen. No guarantee and simply patience needed on my part. Interesting style of business to say the least. My car was spotless. I had spilled coffee in my car two months ago, and Dr detail got the smell, and the stickiness out of my rug. I couldnt believe it! That coffee smell was in my car for 2 months, and I had poured carpet frresh over top of the stain thinking that would help the smell when I vaccumed the car myself. Not too smart, as the carpet fresh basically stained the carpets more. I couldnt believe when I picked up my car how clean and fresh that it was. Whatever chemicals they used to get the stains and the smell out were not overpowering and did the job! I was super impressed. I recommended my mother to Dr Detail, and she too was pleased. She has yet to write her Yelp review! I even got some of my co-workers to use Dr Detail, and they too were impressed! Great job all the way. read more

Just had my 2016 Porsche 911 GTS detailed for the first time. Porsche of Conshohocken made the arrangements to have it done here. I was in awe upon picking up the vehicle. The attention to detail far exceeded my OCD expectations. Called Greg to let him know how thrilled I was. Looked better than when I took delivery from the dealership, not that the guys at the dealership were slackers. Already told Greg that his "hospital" will be where I bring all my vehicles for check-ups and major surgeries. Can't wait to bring my R8 and Z06 in. read more

More than the average drive-through auto wash. They spend a fair amount of time hand-vacuuming the inside and doing the wheels--which is more than you normally get for the average car price. It's popular so be sure to avoid the rush days/hours like noon on a Saturday. read more

Very bad experience. Many problems, which resulted from simply poor communication and utter disregard for the customer. I needed the car a little earlier than the end of the "3-5 hour" window for a meeting which I had scheduled after the appt. I called the owner a couple hours after I dropped it off to let him know I'd need it at 2 so I could make a 3 pm meeting. At about 1 I called him four different times to 3 different phone numbers (strange in itself) to let him know again that I'd need the car at 2pm. *Never answered the phone.* I had to walk over from the place I was waiting---it's a beat up garage by the railroad tracks and there is nowhere to wait for the job to be done---and remind him in person I needed to go. Know what he did? He just decided to keep on working. You heard that right. So, this stranger has possession of my only car for our family, doesn't answer the phone after four calls, then when I show up and tell him I need to go, stop working and give me the keys, he just keeps on working. What was I supposed to do at that point? Unreal. This left me extremely stressed out. There were other problems. I asked for them to put all found objects under my kids' seats into a box, he said he'd do it, he didn't. Also, the cost was $30 more than advertised. While booking on your phone, the full cost details are hidden under a drop-down menu marked by a tiny arrow. The owner complained that I should have seen it! He also said the price list is clearly laid out on the website. It is not; only for mobile detailing. It's a shame for him and his assistant, because they did a 3/5 star job on the actual work. They didn't finish the work, wasn't even close. If they had just dealt with me and my understandable/run of the mill situation like any normal business, and arranged a follow up, all would have been fine. Couldn't do that I guess. They also seemed to be rushing to complete a job I had booked starting 4.5 hours earlier (9:30 am) and they took an extra half hour (2:30), which had me speeding home on the verge of a heart attack. I did all I could not to completely lose my shit on these people or simply walk without paying. To say I would never return to this business is only scratching the surface. Don't be fooled by a decent website. Plenty of other places out there, don't roll the dice. read more

My mother took my car here for what should have been a quick easy cleaning. My mom set up an appointment but when dropping off the car she had to wait almost an hour for the manager to show up and confirm the appointment. Although it was cheap, the cleaning provided was hardly worth the price, especially when considering what happened next. The worst part is that they broke my passenger visor and refused to accept responsibility. When confronting the manager/owner his response was "This has never happened before and I wouldn't be a good businessman if I lied and cheated my customers." Which anytime someone says something like that, it makes it hard to trust them because their actions should prove their words. He requested pictures and said we would have to bring it in for his guys to inspect it. So in other words, they broke it but we would have to take more time out of our schedule to come and prove they broke it. We sent him pictures and never received a response. We decided to just move on because it's not worth our time but a $30 detail now costed me an extra $90 to fix the visor. I did not receive $120 of service from them and cannot believe the way they treated my mother (practically calling her a liar). I will never take my car here again and I would recommend you do not either. read more

I've been here twice to get my car detailed...once with a groupon, once without. They were awesome both times. I never had a problem getting an appointment, and regardless of my groupon, the service and care for my car never changed. These guys are great and I will absolutely return. Warning! Don't book here! Get a twenty dollar car wash at machine wash it will look better! Just had my car "detailed" here if you want to call it that. If you need a weekend appointment don't book here. End up taking a day of work after a long battle to get a weekend appointment. Paid 70 dollars for a "major surgery package" from living social and after 4 hours of waiting it looks like it should have only cost 20 bucks. Guys steer clear of "dr. detail" these guys are a joke. I have detailed my car myself and made it look dealer new. These guys didn't even come close. They half assed the wheels, still had break dust, I had to wipe off myself, didn't bother with the back seats at all. Even fact the seats were even more dirty after "dr joke" got it. To make matters worse living social was no help, after reading bad yelp reviews and not being able to reach the shop for a month, I tried to get a refund. No refund from living social was granted, I was forced to use a shop that basically stole my money. Living social asked me to gift the voucher to someone if I could not use the voucher. After getting service like this who would gift this to anyone? Low par service from living social! Horrible service from "dr detail"! Worst living social experience ever. read more

I took my car here to have my engine cleaned and I could have done better job with my garden hose. Should have known better when they took out an electric pressure washer. Customer service was horrible. Employees seemed to be lazy which explains the results. Garage was cluttered with beat up cars and makeshift waiting room was a scene from a frat house. read more

The service here is satisfactory. I don't really have high standards when it comes to car detailing, just really that the car look and feel clean. The exterior job was very nicely done, however, the interior left something to be desired. Based on the website description of their services I had hoped for a deeper cleaning on the interior, which is why I had decided to get the car detailed in the first place. Instead, the job was standard. While they did shampoo the floor mats, the carpet on the actual floor (which gets pretty dirty) was untouched. Furthermore, my third row seating and trunk were seemingly ignored altogether. For the price I wasn't dissatisfied, but it just seems that the service was not all it was cracked up to be. read more

Although it took a couple of calls to actually talk to someone - they were quite responsive to their online questions and appointment system. I get the sense that everyone who would pick up phones, also works on the cars - i.e. if they're busy, you'll need to leave a message. They take jobs by appointment; their prices are better than fair for the work they do. Their performance is appropriately professional, and exceeded my expectations re: what i thought was possible - some syrupy stains had been in my Acura for more than 1 year, and the car was spotless and smelled new when I picked it up. Looks like they may do a nice job on cars but this business doesn't care at all about the neighborhood they inhabit. Their van has been parked in the same spot for months. The van being there creates a huge blind spot for drivers and pedestrians crossing the schuylkill river trail. I've witnessed two incidents of bikers nearly being hit by cars due to not being able to see around the van. I've asked twice and the police have approached the owner who is completely uncooperative. Don't patronize this business!! read more

It has been very difficult to find a good car wash place here in Philly. They do not have car washes here like they do back in California. I did an internet search and found Dr. Detail. I was impressed with the photos of vehicles that they detailed and the fact that they work with high end vehicles was a strong selling point. I showed them my rav4 and there were scratches and swirl marks that a thorough detail would remove. I purchased the major surgery package which was a complete interior and exterior detail. Greg did have very good knowledge about detailing (clay bar, Teflon) so I knew I would be in good hands. I had to turn in the car since it was at the end of its lease so I asked them to do a great job for me so the dealer would not charge me for any scratches and so forth. When the car was finished, it looked brand new and shiny like it was on the dealer floor, and my black paint was shiny black like it's supposed to look!! The paint felt smooth like silk and the scratches and swirl marks were gone!! The interior was in mint condition and carpets were shampooed to like new condition!! I was thinking of just keeping the car after seeing how it turned out!! I am more than happy that I found Dr. Detail and I am looking forward to doing business with Greg on a regular basis!! Bought a Groupon for their "Major Surgery" Detailing. Couldn't have been more impressed! They were able to get me in right away and had my car done the same day (even though my interior was covered in dog hair and they had to spend a lot of extra time getting it out! ). When I came to pick my car up it looked fantastic and no longer smells like dog! The gentleman I dealt with was very friendly and really went above and beyond to please the customer (being a small business owner myself I know how important this is!).
