The donations are terrific: clothing, lamps, seasonal decorations, tools, books, CD's, records, toys, furniture, one of a kind items, oil and water color paintings, prints, crystal and glassware, bedspreads, cookware, shoes, large selection of materials for crafters, knitting and sewing supplies , unusual picture frames, antiques, and pricing to fit everyone's budget. Since every organization requires positive leadership, Ms. Bryn the manager leads by example, respect for the customers, the employees and volunteers, and makes everyone comfortable. She brings a joy and young spirited freshness to the Marietta Furkids store. Come in and take an enjoyable stroll through the Marietta store. You never know what treasures await you.

I was looking for a kitten or cat because my dog who was 18 years old passed away. I had cats in…read morethe past and they lived a long life 19-21 years old and I have NEVER abandoned a pet and have perfect Vet records. Every pet I inquired about, I was told it was already adopted by someone else. Because they have so many animals, I kept trying but again, was told each time it was already adopted. They never reached out to try to let me know when a cat came in that I was looking for or followed up or anything. I ended up getting a cat from a Chattanooga rescue group who was so nice and drove her here to Atlanta for me! I also own my house and dote on my pets and treat them as family members. I also drove up to their compound and looked at the cats there and it made me sad, they were in small plastic "kitty condos" - and it is a very nice facility but they could have made larger cages with all the money they spent. Cats do not like confined areas at all!

Another time that his adoption was pending and then heard he had been adopted. TodY after yet another attempt to co tact this place. I was told that the status of Max was uncertain and someone would get back to me. I suspect this dog is long since adopted and they keep his photo up on their site to draw interest. I am done. I have to have a breed or mixed breed that is good for allergies and have spent weeks on Adopt a per and Petfinder and no one has the dogs I ask about still available. I'm glad these pets have found homes, but the small non-shedding dogs go so fast. That I'm wasting my time chasing after dogs so often already adopted. I can afford to buy a small mixed breed dog that doesn't shed. I was trying to do a kindness to a needy dog. If you are looking for a big dog there are so many in need of adoption.

We recently adopted a young shih tzu from Ruff Rescue and have nothing but good things to say about…read morethe work they're doing. I grew up with a shih tzu and have been thinking about getting one for almost seven years now. I found "Kirby" on Petfinder, sent a link to my husband, and we were both smitten! I emailed to inquire about him and Lisa (from Ruff Rescue) got back to me that night. She said that she had rescued Kirby from animal control on the day that he was scheduled to be euthanized. He had kennel cough and an ear infection, but he's doing better now. I still can't believe that anyone would give up such a sweet boy - the vet thinks that he's between 1-2 years old and he's house trained. We hit the puppy lottery! We completed an application and did a meet & greet before officially adopting him. His adoption fee was $250, which was more than fair considering that he was neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all shots. It's obvious that Lisa has a true passion for what she does. We're so thankful to Lisa and Ruff Rescue for doing what they do, and trusting us with Kirby the tzu!
