It was likely an internal spring that had likely broken and needed replacement. I was afraid there would be an extra charge for a Sunday repair, but Chris so nope. So, I decided to move forward with getting the issue handled. Chris needed to address a current customer and then could be at my place around 1pm. As he was on his way, he texted me with an ETA, which was nice. Once at my place, he confirmed the issue and recommended at Torsion Spring Conversion.
