These people racked up my insurance for a cleaning and had to do a payment plan for the filling and now I have maxed for the year and can't afford other work and have to find a new dentist because these people are incompetent and scam artists. The cleaning was the most painful dental cleaning I have ever had. I feel taken advantage of and have discomfort now to boot. My Invisalign treatment with Dr. Yadgarov began in July 2022. I chose her because I liked her approach and she had flexible office hours, including weekends. I also underwent significant periodontal work beforehand, and it was understood my case would require a slower, more careful process. Problems began by tray 17 of my first set of aligners when one lower tooth stopped tracking properly. The tray began forcing the tooth against another, creating extreme pressure. I repeatedly raised concerns and eventually had to push for a rescan after even sending photos showing the issue. Despite restarting treatment (a new set of 20 trays), the same tooth never fully corrected. Dr. Yadgarov decided to shave the tooth to help it fit into the aligner, but she shaved too much, leaving it looking chipped, pointy, and uneven. Eventually, by the 20th tray, I was told, "I think we're done," even though I still had serious bite issues. After treatment, my bite had significantly collapsed. I had virtually no bite on one side and difficulty chewing normally. Multiple dentists, periodontists, and NYU Dental all told me the case should have been addressed much earlier and ultimately recommended restarting with braces. I was also told my plan was labeled "moderate," typically including two rounds of trays, which made me question whether cost played a role in stopping treatment when it did. Before starting, I was told my fee covered treatment until completion. On top of that, I had difficulty getting the buttons removed because other providers would not evaluate me until they were taken off, which delayed my ability to seek proper follow-up care. I should also mention that I had a cleaning done by Dr. Yadgarov because I was told that her office accepted my insurance. After the appointment, I was charged $150. I reminded her that she had specifically told me they took my insurance. Her response was, "Yes, we take your insurance, but we never said it would be covered completely." I found that response ridiculous given how frequently I was in the office for nearly two years, I felt basic insurance verification should have been handled upfront. During my search for follow-up care, no provider was willing to complete retainers or take over the case, leaving me feeling that the treatment was never properly finished. Over the next two years, the consequences were significant. I lost two teeth, required implants, needed a crown replacement, and ultimately had to undergo multiple prosthodontic procedures just to restore a functional bite. Based on everything I experienced, I personally believe Dr. Yadgarov's approach was not appropriate for my case and that financial considerations appeared to outweigh patient outcomes. I chose to proceed despite mixed reviews, and I regret that decision. If it was not going to be a straightforward Invisalign treatment, and she couldn't handle it, she should have recommended me to a periodontist to complete the work. This was irresponsible. What should have been a straightforward Invisalign treatment turned into years of pain, corrective procedures, and lasting damage I will continue to deal with.

They overcharged me and refused to take any responsibility (despite me sending in bank statements as proof). 2. Once they had all my money, they became extremely unresponsive to calls and emails. 3. After I decided to no longer move forward with my Invisalign treatment (in which no trays had yet been made), they tried to keep my full payment for the procedure. 4. Once I got them to agree to a partial refund, they sent me a statement (on a word doc, not even billing software), with fraudulent or embellished charges, trying to scam me out of as much money as possible. I regret having ever walked into this office. In my opinion, Dr. Kossowan and Greg have low morals and no shame. If you search the reviews, you'll see I'm not the only person they've tried to scam money from. The longer story: I had a unique situation where I signed a contract for Invisalign, had the X-rays and scans taken, but then had to stop before any trays were made. I needed major dental work, which ended up taking almost two years. During that time, I made my downpayment and continued paying a monthly fee until my contract was paid off. Once I was finally ready to move forward, Greg, the office manager, tried to tell me that I would have to continue to pay a monthly fee--despite having paid my full contract while waiting to resume the treatment. While pushing back on this, I realized Greg had already charged me $557.50 in unauthorized payments past what my contract was for. Greg claimed he didn't think that was possible. I sent in my bank statements. Greg and Dr. Kossowan suddenly became very unresponsive...until I mentioned legal action. Even then, it took three months for them to refund the overpayment, though they claimed they were only doing it "in the spirit of accommodation." At this point, I had lost faith in the practice and no longer wanted to move forward with the treatment. I offered to pay for the X-rays and scans. Dr. Kossowan told me nothing was refundable. Despite never having actually received the Invisalign, she felt entitled to keep the full $7,800 I had paid her. Eventually, Dr. Kossowan agreed to a partial refund, but still wanted to keep over half my money. When I asked for a bill, it took her two weeks to send one to me. I showed the "bill" to another orthodontist and they were appalled. A few things of note from the bill (which is attached below). 1. $250 for "orthodontics photos" = three photos her technician took on his iPhone. 2. At one point, she tried to sell me on a $2,000 split for my jaw to help with TJM. I told her I was not interested in that--multiple times. Now she's charging $500 for a "TMJ X-ray" that I never consented to. 3. If the doctor had to do a "second Invisalign tx. plan" she only would've had to make adjustments to the teeth I had dental work on. Yet, that cost $1,000 like the first treatment. 4. $400 for four phone calls with my dentist. It seems to me that this practice is desperate to keep as much of my money as possible. Or perhaps they are financially unable to refund me. Either way, it seems they have resorted to lying and unethical behavior as a result.

New veneers didn't look like my original set at all. They explained why they made changes and to test out with temps. Fine, then I told them I really liked the color of temps (which is what I had prior) but they kept insisting how new ones looks better (went with a different color). Instead of trying to fix it, they kept telling me how they thought my teeth looked great and all my concerns were fixable if I wanted to change anything later. They had me sign a waiver. After a few weeks of wearing them and still wishing I had my original look, I went back to them and guess what? It's not fixable unless I pay to have it redone. Save your money and go anywhere else.

I made a reservations for my family and I around 4pm on Thursday. We only needed cleaning services for a family of 3. When we arrived the receptionist asked if we had an appointment and politely gave us three new applications. I had a moment to scope the reception area and they seem to offer juice bar healthy options. I also noticed they have images of Tupac, Biggie, and Nas pictures on the wall. They play a video with the main dentist showing how braces are installed. The wait was not as long as I thought it would be. We were called only 15 mins from checking in. My kids and I were x-rayed swiftly and had our cleaning 10 mins later. It took us 1 hr to do everything. Due to Covid-19 we no longer receive a goody bags with toothbrushes and floss, but we were sent off with a polite goodnight. I will return for their next teeth cleaning.

We received the items and found that they had replaced them with used, broken versions. The items returned were not even the correct specs of the original ordered items. (For those in the know the items were Cavitron Scaler tips 30K PWR-1000. Returned Items were 30K PWR-100) They were obviously used and the tips were broken. We sell the items brand new and sealed. They were returned but with the used/damaged items in the original packaging.
