I sat through the most painful x rays ever (like so outdated) and was told I had several cavities and pre cavities and was presented a hefty price tag plan. I did one two of the fillings because they seemed urgent yet I had no issues with the actual tooth. I have had problems with that tooth ever since. The cleaning was very very rush I didn't feel they did a good job at all. Look about 10 minutes. I had to wait 2 months for a whitening appointment that was free. The whitening barely made my teeth one shade lighter- crest 1 hour express strips work better. I noticed that not all my teeth whitening the same, for sample the bottom weren't as white. I asked the hygienist and she said that if I wanted to even it out I'd have to pay for more whitening- so my top teeth are whiter then the bottom and I believe is due to a uneven application of the bleach. I was one of those people that was cold called, and normally I would never listen to a cold call, but it just so happened that particular day I was looking for a new dentist and one literally called me. I was pretty shook. I decided to listen to what Jennifer had to say, and while I wasn't convinced about the whitening thing, I needed a new dentist. I went in for a cleaning because that's what I needed anyway, not as the prerequisite for the whitening. I will say Cinthia, and forgive me because I forgot her title, but she wasn't a dentist or a hygienist, was very kind and forthcoming about any insurance charges. She talked me through everything before anything got done, which I appreciated the transparency. I haven't done the whitening yet, but if it truly is free, I suppose I will do it. I didn't come here for that purpose, but it's an interesting perk. I will dock it a star though for how long I waited in there. I confirmed with them directly that the treatment would be entirely free and that I could also have my X-rays retaken, even though I had them done in April of this year. They really pushed me to do it. To my shock, I am now being billed over $500 for X-rays that took only a couple of minutes, were extremely painful (to the point that I asked them to stop), and were never even completed for my entire mouth. ---BEWARE--- They cold called (red flag #1) me and told me to I can get a free teeth whitening session with my dental cleaning. I was naive and too lazy to find another dentist, so I took the bait. They scheduled me for 5:30pm on a Monday. When I walked in, the entire waiting room was full. They had to pull out an extra chair for me to sit (red flag #2). It was a lot going on. People coming, people going, dental hygienists running from room to room. I already knew it was going to be a long wait. At one point someone got up and said he can't wait any longer and he needs to reschedule (red flag #3). Another patient became verbally upset when the front desk person failed to mention that he had incomplete insurance information before coming in. They wasted his time since he didn't have that info on him and he said the office was like a "factory" churning people in and out. The receptionist apologized but was pretty short and cold with him (red flag #4 & 5). He told them to delete his information and he wasn't coming back. I was pretty patient, and was told after 30 min of waiting that I would be called shortly. Another 15 minutes went by and I made a decision to leave. I told them I was leaving and they said they were just about to call me and I told them I never want to come back. (I would have to, because the whitening session would be another appointment). I don't want to wait an hour for every dentist appointment I have. They also called me a few days later saying they have "express times" during the morning which didn't make any sense. Dentists offices don't have walk-in patients, it's all appointments. Stop scheduling so many people at the end of the day, it's thats simple.
