Having successfully replaced several part on my Dell xps laptop, I tried to replace the keyboard. It was so complicated that I put things back together and called Dr PC Fix. Thor was polite and patient, offered some information about the laptop, and told me they could replace the keyboard that day. I brought it in and it was, indeed, available for pickup by closing. At no extra charge, Thor also taped down a loose connector (I'd broken the socket) and replaced the thermal paste on the CPU or Graphics Card to keep it running cooler. Thor was also happy to me on the resale value of the laptop and explained that the processor was one generation behind what's needed to upgrade to Windows 11. All this for $100. I'm very pleased and impressed with their professionalism, patience with my questions, and the quality and speed of the repair. On top of this, they offer a 30-day warranty on repairs. Woke up one morning and all my files, photos, etc seemed to be gone from my laptop. I searched and found a few answers, but I'm tech-challenged and they all said, "If that doesn't work try xxx, and if that doesn't work, try yyy, and if that doesn't work..." Um, NO! I wanted somebody else to try all that for me so I didn't accidently push a wrong button and really screw it up. I found Dr PC Fix nearby with great reviews, so gave them a call. Took my laptop down and Thor was fabulous. I asked about a new power cord, which they had on hand, so got one of those, too. When all was said and done, fixing the one I have seemed to be the best option. I am blown away by our amazing experience with this honest business. Our computer seemingly crashed, so we took the tower down to Dr PC Fix for diagnosis and repair. Within 24 hrs a received a call, explaining that although they had performed various diagnostic tests and even "upgraded" some windows applications, they could not find anything wrong with the computer. My wife went down an hour later and they even loaded the tower into her car... Now that's class. And the topper was that they charged us nothing, Suspecting a blown monitor, we ran down to Best Buy and purchased a replacement. My boyfriends fancy pants gaming computer needed to be brought in for something and I volunteered to bring it to these guys after another place quoted us $165+ just to look at it! We had a graphics card issue. He loaded up my car and called and let them know I was coming and if they'd help me carry it from my car. I arrived and they were nice, came to my car and carried it for me. I checked it in, and they said he'd get a call the next day. Next day sure enough they called, they didn't have any problems and it was probably a fluke! I brought in my bfs monitor for them to double check it wasn't the connection and they helped me carry it up, and let me watch it boot up. all was fine and they loaded up my car and sent me with the good news, no charge! Faced with the risk of losing my hard-drive's data, Dr PC Fix was able to get the job done, keeping me consistently posted with possibilities of courses of action. Brought in late in the day, they got the machine checked in, went through exactly what would and would not be saved by the recovery, and evaluated the data on the faulty drive. If troubles arrived, they'd need an external HD that would be large enough to hold all the recovery data (2TB, which neither me or they had on hand, meaning in that case, they'd only be able to get to that by next week...) Next morning, they called me up and said the data was still reachable directly, and that they could instead do a direct file transfer WHILE getting me a snazzy new NVMe drive. I signed on for that immediately, and the data copy was completed by the the day after that. A small hiccup occured upon booting the computer up back at home, when I realized that the copy didn't actually get the main things I needed from the old drive, my Pictures and Documents. Thankfully they had given me the old faulty drive back and I was able to juryrig my way back into getting those files back. I'm still not sure how the methodology of what could and could not be copied over made any sense - the store said specifically the files that would be recovered included: pictures, documents, music, and other storage files, but NOT things like apps or games. Ironically, this was the exact opposite of what I ended up getting, as because I had put most of my game files in a "Game Archive" folder, just about every game I had was still installed on the new drive and completely runnable through Steam. In any case if I hadn't tried backing things up through OneDrive, it probably would've gone through with less hiccups. The takeaway is that all my files are now safe-and-sound, my computer boots up WAY faster with the new drive, and all is well, even with the small hiccup at the finish line. read more

I couldn't recommend this place enough!! My laptop fans were failing, so I ordered some new ones and took it all in to have them switched out. From the second I walked in, they were super welcoming and friendly and explained the whole process to me in detail. I was told it would be an hour at the most, so I killed some time around town, and after about 35 minutes, I got a call saying they were already finished. They replaced the fans and thermal grease and it only cost about $55! My laptop has been running without any issues for days now, pretty much just as well as the day I got it :) I'll be coming here for all of my computer troubles from now on and I will definitely encourage others to do the same!! Took my Power Mac to this small shop in Downtown Redmond because I thought my power supply went out. The other Mac store in Redmond Towncenter charged a diagnostic fee and sent out my computer. I can't remember what the fee was, but the thought of having some deliver driver dropping my system somewhere along the route was too much to bear. Dr PC Fix does not charge a diagnostic fee, and they keep my machine at the facility. They ordered my part only to find that my self diagnosis was wrong. I was billed for the power supply, but that charge was taken off when they found out what was wrong. The problem was cheaper and I received a refund for the difference when I picked it up. It did take a little extra time due to a shipping problem on the power supply, but the replacement part was in the next day and my computer was ready to go. Another cool thing they did was send me an email every day letting me know what was going on with my system. Not sure if they always do that, but I will be letting you know because if I have any other problems I will be bringing it back to them read more
