After he popped a battery into my wristwatch, (at an extremely reasonable price), about a month or so later, I returned to ask about getting a battery for my old iphone7. We spoke, told issues, after considering $65 battery cost, and effectiveness to the problem, I didn't buy. SO, he did not cheat me, by allowing me to buy a battery. He SUGGESTED it would not help my phone. It was an internal computer issue. After googling later, saw Apple no longer supported updates for that phone. Graveyard is on the Horizon. I wish I could give this a 0 star. Took a phone here with a cracked screen. They told us they could fix it, no problem. Offered a 90 day warranty. Sounded good to me. We paid the money, had it fixed, and within days the screen was glitching. Then one entire side of the iphone screen popped up and was coming apart. Took it back to the store, and we were told we must have damaged it. The screen was in perfect condition still, the phone was in perfect working order, we had a lifeproof case and a screen protector we purchased from them to protect it - and after being disrespected, interrupted, blamed and lied to - we were told too bad, we must have done something to the screen ourselves and they refused to fix it. BS. It was clearly not fixed correctly - I have NEVER seen an iphone screen just pop off. The customer service is garbage and so is the work. Don't waste your money. read more

Last month, my iPad shattered in my backpack and had that spider web effect, which made me highly upset!!! I came to the Dr. Phone Repair kiosk at the FSK Mall yesterday (3/3/17) to get my iPad screen fixed. The associate was friendly. He looked at my iPad and he gave me a fair price on the repair. He told me it would take 1 hour for him to finish but ended up taking 2 because he repaired other customers phones and tablets. I wasn't upset at the time it took him to fix my screen, but it was well worth it. I will be coming back in the future. UPDATE: After coming home with my phone and original cracked screen back in place, I realized the WiFi was no longer connecting, nor would the GPS work. Now while trying to sell my phone I realize it's basically just a lump of parts. I recall that after he put my phone back together I noticed the screen shaking, which he told me was because the connections were resetting and that it would go away. It did go away, but it looks like he dislodged some pretty important stuff. Just do yourself a favor and learn from my misfortune, never give your phone to this guy for service! I busted my phone screen (the first one since I got my first cell in the 80s) and this was incredibly convenient. I dropped my phone off a the kiosk, and they did the repair while I did a bit of shopping. An hour later everything was like new again and comes with a 90 day warranty if the repair causes any problems. I had a horrible experience from the owner. He not only failed to repair the screen but made it worse. When i complained, he started verbal abuse. He even tried to physically attack me. He grabbed my phone from my hand and was about to thrash it on the floor. I had to call the mall security and the cops. I filed a formal complaint against the owner. They are scammers. Called yesterday and he quoted me $130, I come in and he says "what price were you given?" That should have been a red flag for me but I was in desperate need for my screen to be fixed asap. We told him $130 and he says "hmmm... those are supposed to be $150.." and continued to try and haggle. We finally settled for $135. Other customers were coming and he would say the same thing, "and what price did we give you?" Your price should be posted for the customer to see, set in stone, not just whatever you feel like quoting them at the time. Meanwhile there was another gentleman there telling him that the phone he had worked on is no longer turning on, but it was too late for me to turn back at that point. I told him my concern about it voiding my warranty, and he convinced me it would be more of a hassle to go to Apple when they were going to put the same high quality resolution screen on. At the time I did not notice anything different with it but I soon as I left and actually started playing with it I can tell some major differences. It is touching buttons on its own, and the screen is not as high quality as it was before. There is almost a grayish tint to it. Also, my home screen button sticks up further then it should and the metal ring is catching on my finger as if it is just been glued on. I had an iPhone 7 rosegold edition, and now I have a piece of shit phone, I'm $135 poorer, and I've voided my apple warranty. Thanks a lot. I WILL be sending my fiancé to pay them a visit tomorrow, and I assure you he will not be as forgiving. read more

Had a great experience getting the battery in my iPhone 6 replaced after going to Staples and having them do it...with a bad battery. Came to Dr. phone and he replaced their crappy battery with a working one and I was on my way again in 20 mins. Great guys and they definitely know what they're doing. read more

Got it fixed right away, only good thing I can say. The screen for my Galaxy s7 broke no more than 3 weeks later and he would not give me a partial refund or anything. Got my screen fixed again by a different person in Frederick, it turns out he had not put the rubber casing around the home button back and that caused the screen to be loose and he proposed that was a significant reason why it broke again. Came here to replace an iPhone 7 screen. They charged me $196 which is more than apple ($129). I signed a contract that said if they couldn't repair the phone, they would refund the repair cost. The part that was used is DULL, won't auto sleep when on a call, randomly dials or opens apps, and KILLS my battery. After my 3rd visit and my request for a refund, the OWNER, told me that he will ONLY replace the screen again and he doesn't do refunds AND that it is my problem!!! My problem because they used a faulty part! After contacting CDC Cellular repair in Frederick, they told me that they don't even do repairs on the iPhone because of the issues I'm experiencing due to CHEAP AND FAULTY parts! They will recommend customers ONLY go to Apple for replacement work. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

A technician at Dr. Phone installed a new screen for our phone, but on the way home we noticed that the screen was not sitting completely flat in the case. When we got home we pushed on the screen on the end that was slightly raised up, hoping it would just pop into place, but instead the screen broke in half. We brought it back the next day and we were told by the shop owner "the only way this would happen is if the screws holding the screen in place were missing". He looked at the phone, and sure enough, the screws were missing. We asked for it to be fixed because his technician didn't do the job right, and we were told no - he would not repair it because he said WE took the screws out! An argument ensued. He started yelling at me, with other customers standing around watching. He said I was lying and told me that his technicians would never make a mistake like that and that I took out the screws myself! . UPDATE: I called our credit card company to try and cancel the transaction. After explaining what happened, the agent tried to call the shop to hear their side of the story - I was on the line listening - and he hung up and wouldn't talk to the bank agent! The bank said that since I admitted I had left the store with the phone, I could not claim that services weren't rendered - so I am out $125. . UPDATE2: I took the phone to a different repair place. Without even telling him what happened, the guy opened the case and said that the phone had a low end "aftermarket" screen that did not support the '3D touch' feature, the screen was installed without the screws (which I knew), and it didn't have the 'moisture barrier gasket' in place. He installed an 'authentic' screen at a lower price than what Dr. Phone Repair had charged for a counterfeit, and installed it properly, including the screws and the moisture barrier. read more

I brought my iPhone in to get worked on immediately while picking it up clearly the issue was worse with glitching and freezing. I had to hand it back to the young gentleman to fix it as I thought the second time he would get it right this time so I paid which was a completely different price then what I was quoted which isn't even my biggest issue with them. Him claiming he's a tacnician and he knows it wasn't there fault with there quality of work and responding they couldn't have made a mistake and he knows there not at fault and I responded he wouldn't know because he wasn't the one who worked on it and it was a younger man who repaired it and he wasn't even there to know if the younger guy was at fault. Back to what happened Not long after leaving realizing it kept Glitching freezing and part of the screen would stop working off and on. I would turn it off and back on trying to fix the issue. With having to leave to go out of state because my mom was dying and I would need a phone for emergencies. Well there wasn't anything I could do being out of state. When I came back home for a week I tried to return to get the issue fixed and they denied due to me not having the receipt. Which I understand that part. But come on dr. Phone your telling me you have no record of the work you do for anybody at all. In my opinion that's bull. How do you file taxes but whatever. You better hope you never get audited. So three days ago I returned with a receipt for them to fix with a 90 day warranty. With returning he took my phone and told me to give him 15 minutes to fix it and when I returned my screen was now cracked and had an argument with him the it's there quality of work and there responsibility and they guy was pretty much telling me i was screwed and he didn't do it. Which is funny because it wasn't broke until they touched it. So now being furiated he admitted to having several cameras which is a blessing to me to prove they were at fault in so many ways of customer service. He was suppose to review the videos after he got off at 5:00 pm and email me to prove I was correct and he was wrong. The next day still no response so my husband and myself returned to confirm that the issue was there fault to them changing the story all around to it's a busy time of year and he had no time to review the video and denied to fix it at all or refund my money. I then took it to apple to confirm it was clear they were at fault and paying another $180 on top of his $140 and quoted for $99 to fix it right. Oh and I forgot that he did offer to fix his mistake for another $100. This business is a joke and I would not recommend anybody using them. They have a total of 18 reviews and 7 or more being very bad reviews. They need to be closed permently for scamming people. The older guy has no problem yelling at customers and bullying them to stop trying to prove him wrong when he clearly doesn't honor his warranties and isn't going to admit to being wrong. I rate them below a 1. I wish I would of read these reviews before using them to fix my phone. I hope they make you close your store permanently or different employees or owners start working there because this man clearly is a scammer and should refund us our money. If your a good owner first off you don't argue with customer you try to fix the situation not make it worse by yelling and lying. Came in to get my daughters iPod fixed, left it, came back & the man tells me that they didn't have the white screen available, they only had the black one so he put it on anyway. Mind you, I took it although it didn't match at all, checked it just to see the quality of the screen was that of an iPod 3 or something old. I came back to tell the man I wasn't satisfied with the quality, he took me to speak with the manager who happens to be the owner of the snack/newspaper kiosk. When I explained to him the quality of the screen was terrible, dull & dark he told me it looked fine to him, then when I showed him the exact same background on another screen the exact same as the iPod he laughed & said I'm not a technician so I don't know quality. At the point I'm insulted & appalled that he would just laugh at a paying customers concern so I told him to just give me my money back & he can take back the shitty screen. Then he has the audacity to tell me he has to keep $25 of the return amount for labor fees which was written nowhere on the contract that I signed before the service.
