I was lying on the chiropractic table while Dr. Lim stood on an electrical conductive pad and used her hands to gently massage and treat specific areas of my body. I'd never consider giving up trying to find help for her, but have to admit that options had gotten slim in the past few years, and then I happened upon Dr.Lim's site and noted that she approached her chiropractic practice with an appreciation for the relationship between a person's nervous system and pain which immediately resonated with me. We live in the desert so it took awhile to make an appointment happen, but once there, my daughter and I were both calmed by Dr. Lim's relaxed demeanor and her willingness to listen fully to both of our concerns. I can tell when my daughter is comfortable with someone by the clarity of her speech, as the accident caused her to struggle with aphasia, especially when she isn't comfortable with where she's at or who is in her space. With Dr. Lim, my daughter spoke cleary and was able to communicate her health challenges pretty much on her own. Throughout the appointment Dr. Lim was patient and checked on my daughter's comfort throughout the various therapies and chiropractic she applied. When done, my daughter let it be known that she hoped to see Dr. Lim again soon. Back in the desert later that same evening, my daughter happily approached me and demonstrated that she was able to turn her head 180 degrees in both directions - something she'd been unable to accomplish for at least a few years. Shortly afterward, that location closed, so the service was never provided. When I reached out to resolve it, I was told I could receive the treatment at their new location, which is significantly farther away for me. Since the missed service resulted from staffing issues on their end, it felt unfair that all the inconvenience and extra travel would fall on me. That said, I did like the doctor and felt the office was generally professional and personable throughout the process, which is why I hoped the situation would be handled differently. I also followed the recommended wedge routine daily, but the issue returned a little over a year later.
