I came to this place mentally prepared to have acupuncture done on my neck due to the constant pain I experience every day after my car accident but what was my pleasant surprise this place treated me like I was their only patient, doctor explained things to me in detail. I have to admit that I didn't even feel like coming because I dislike needles with passion and I expressed that to the doctor so he did cupping on my upper back and some non painful acupuncture with seeds on my ear . Really great Chiropractor. I went in for my first spinal cord adjustment session and Dr. Yu helped relieve the shoulder pain that's been bothering me. They use electrotherapy for pain relief in the muscle, and they also offer acupuncture as well. They're open during COVID! Just follow guidelines and wear a face mask. read more

*Serviced during Covid* I love this place! I've gotten the Chiro, Acu and Cupping here. Both Dr. Yu and Kang are professional, kind, thoughtful and most importantly- gentle. Acupuncture: My first visit was for Acupuncture and it was my first time getting Acu (ever). My coworker raved about Dr. Kang so I finally gave it a try. Dr. Kang and I spoke for half an hour so he can understand my diet, body pains, stress and tensions. I told him about my fear of needles. He said no one likes needles so Acu is sort of a taboo for folks. He reassured me that I had nothing to fear. I changed into the gown provided and laid down. The session began with cupping which I LOVED. Dr. Kang made sure I was comfortable and asked if the cups were too tight/ loose. Afterwards, he put a warm towel on my back and asked me to relax for 10 minutes. I could've fell asleep! It was so relaxing. Afterwards, he removed the cups and said my cup marks were dark, which indicated that I either ate/ drink too much cold items, sit down too much or just have bad blood flow. All of that is true LOL He then informed me it was time for the needles. I tensed up and anticipated his every move but once he was done with a needle, I just kept thinking (that's it?) It was BARELY a pinch!! He was so gentle and although I was tense throughout all the needle placings, it didn't hurt at all. I didn't even feel the needle there. Along with that, we did electrotherapy. Once again, he left me alone for 10 minutes so I can relax. For those 10 minutes, I tried my best to try and "feel" the needle or rethink how he was so quick and gently. My mind was blown and I KNEW it was all fear, previously. The removal of the needles was also effortless. He finished off with a theragun which was a heavenly touch to the session. I was extremely relaxed and impressed. From that 1 session, I moved on to bi-weekly, weekly, then seeing him 2 times a week! Cupping: Since I loved the cupping part of Acu so much, I decided to try a session dedicated only to cupping. It started off with Dr. Kang applying baby oil (?) on my back and on the rims of the cup. He used a cupping technique that involved repeated swiping motions to each side of my entire back. I think this was to increase blood flow and if the markings were dark (which mine was) that means i had poor blood flow. Afterwards, he added a few cups to my back and left me alone for my nap. Similarly to Acu, this ended with the theragun. Absolutely perfect Chiropracture: This was with Dr. Yu! He's extremely informative, kind and of course- gentle. He asked a few questions of my existing pains. I told him about my old Chiro who took my X-ray and said I have Type A scoliosis. Dr. Yu insisted that I take an x-ray again (which took less than 3 minutes) and said I have a slight curve on my spine and shouldn't worry too much about it- this was a relief. I also told Dr. Yu about my neck, which isn't a healthy curve. We started with electrotherapy which I always enjoy. This is to loosen my muscles and prep me for the chiro. Dr. Yu cracked my back a few times and when it was time for the neck cracking, he noticed that my vertebrae "popped out"! He touched it, which caused a lot of discomfort and said he'd pop it right back. the neck cracks are my FAVORITE and Dr. Yu was extremely careful and gentle with that. After popping in my vertebrae, he touched the same area as before and the pain was gone. We ended the session on the moving table which involves the patient laying down and the table underneath you, waves through your body- very relaxing. I ended up seeing Dr. Yu bi-weekly, which ended with weekly visits. Parking- they have their own lot with ample parking- nothing to worry about Overall, I love this place! I've recommended it to my sister (she enjoys it too) and friends. Such a gem! read more

This place, Trilogy is much more than just a chiropracting & acupuncture office. They are very experienced in handling medical and work and car accident injury cases that also require medical diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Groomer and Dr. Yu, the two main doctors at Trilogy are EXCELLENT. They have both been my doctors for the last 11 1/2 years and I have no complaints about them at all. I am severely injured from working at UPS for 28 years and I have had TEN surgeries. Dr. Yu ordered MRI's, when my employer REFUSED to order them. This was key to getting the treatment and surgeries that I really needed. All three of these doctors have always treated me very compassionately and they are not like a lot of other doctors... they always seem to be on the side of righteousness, with patients who badly hurt, even if it involves Worker's Comp.. I have never sensed that they are money hungry or that they don't care. Trilogy Health and Wellness only accepts patients who are genuinely hurt and they can tell almost immediately if you really need their services or not. They are always polite and nearly always of a cheerful, upbeat spirit. I actually regard both of these doctors like family. They genuinely care for every patient they have and tell it like it really is. Dr. Groomer is a full out, experienced and insightful medical doctor and he really does know his stuff. He is a fully accredited and licensed "Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine." These kind of M.D.'s are doctors whose medical school training included a focus on the muscular and skeletal systems to treat problems throughout the body. He can write prescriptions and referrals for you. Also, I have noticed that he and Dr. Yu will try all sorts of treatments for you to relieve you of your pain, if you are open to them. They have a lot of machines and gadgets. Dr. Groomer is also good about writing accurate reports, (as is Dr. Yu) and gets involved and upset when the insurance companies and lawyers are giving his patients the run around. I highly recommend this place. They are not expensive and they accept most insurance carriers. And once again, you can tell almost immediately when you walk in their office that they are NOT money hungry. Dr. Sean is a good acupuncturist doctor that has a lot of treatment techniques and competance. Their bathroom is always clean (believe it or not, this can be very important. LOL)... This place has comfortable couches in the waiting room area, easy, close-by parking and supposedly, they even supposedly have Netflicks available for you to watch during your wait in the waiting room, although I never see anyone watching the t.v. in the waiting room. I am so glad they have survived the pandemic crisis in America apparently unscathed. I am glad about this because now I know that my life's pain levels will now continue to be usually at a much more tolerable level. I also like this facility because they are all such good doctors and human beings. I have talked to many of these two doctors' patients and some of their patients are now long time patients often times. Many patients are loyal to them and drive long distances to see them, because of how these doctors are. I know I am loyal to them and even forego'ed buying a house out of town because of their competency. Give these great doctors a try! Mention my name. It might help you to do that - I dunno. They like me over there, despite my occasional groanings. lol P.S. - They also helped me win my multi-million dollar law suit against my employer and their sleezy insurance company. Most of the money went for my surgeries and tests, but Dr. Yu and Dr. Groomer are heroes to our family. We survived because of him and I did not have to endure an intolerable, physical hell because of my back, neck, shoulders, elbow, wrist, knee injuries, depression, anxiety and high blood pressure problems being inadequately and improperly addressed. read more

This review is long overdue. I went to Dr. Kang for cupping and Dr. Yu for chiro. Let me start by saying I was in physical therapy for months and 800mg and pain meds and in counseling from being so depressed due to my pain, nothing was working. I wasn't even able to sit longer than 30 min at work and was on short term disability. I had pretty much given up on the hope of ever getting better, THEN I found these two doctors. I started with Dr. Kang with acupuncture and cupping and couldn't believe the results. I could drive in my car without feeling severe sciata pain. I was able to start back up swimming on my old swim team. I did about 6 sessions with him then added in Chiro w Dr. Yu. He is phenomenal. He is very down to earth and is very easy to talk with. Not to mention I felt SO much better after each session. If you have ANY doubt at all of giving them a shot, please just go and give them a try. PHENOMENAL care, service, staff you name it! Great location. Easy to find. I've followed Dr. Yu since he was practicing in Pasadena. I like the convenient parking with this location a bit more. I had a constant limp that just wasn't healing after a basketball injury, which I thought was just a severe sprained ankle. Went to see Dr. Yu and he immediately found a hairline fracture on my fibula. Was treated appropriately and now I'm back to shooting hoops again months later. Would highly recommend. read more
