We had a group of 4 on Saturday, June 6th around 12:30. Our waitress said they were quite busy with big groups. We are ordered our food. It took over 45 minutes to get our food. Two of our meals were cold - our waitress never came to see how our meal was. We waited another 15 minutes for her to show up. She microwaved our meal-didn't apologize once! Never came back to see if we needed refills. Our meals should have been taken off our bill. She didn't offer. I explained to her how this was unacceptable service. I don't remember exactly when Draft's Sports Bar & Grill opened, but I know that for most of the many years I've been visiting my step-mother in Crookston it was not an option. Now, even though I'm in town only once or twice a year, I'm on the way to becoming a "regular." On my last visit I decided to have a beer and a Philly cheese steak. Draft's has about thirty beers on tap, mostly craft beers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and the Dakota's. After looking over the beer list I selected one that seemed right for my entree. Just a few minutes later our server returned to let me know that the tap had just run dry. But she brought me a sample of a similar beer that the bartender thought I might like. I did and I ordered it. Two thumbs up for dealing with the situation in a positive and proactive manner. BTW, I enjoyed the alternative selection and it paired well with my sandwich. The website visitphilly.com says this about cheesesteak sandwiches: Though "Often imitated around the world, the Philly cheesesteak is rarely duplicated successfully outside of Philadelphia." As for Draft's cheesesteak sandwich, it was okay -- definitely not what you will find at a premier deli in Philly -- but close enough for Minnesota. Until there is a local bakery that makes crusty rolls fresh daily, and until they serve enough sandwiches to hand slice and sauté prime ribeye steak to order for each sandwich, Philly wins hands down over Crookston. My wife ordered mac and cheese which she reports was flavorful and gooey -- in the way a proper mac and cheese should be cheesy and gooey. The rest of the menu features all the standard entrees one would expect to find at a sports bar restaurant -- everything from appetizers to burgers, wings to wraps, tacos to pasta, as well as nightly specials such as seafood dinners, BBQ ribs, and prime rib, all served on select evenings. In a town that is woefully lacking in decent places to eat -- Draft's is definitely an asset to the community and one of the best options for dining out. I'll be back. read more

Good food. Great hospitality. Very nice decor in a sports bar that gave the appearance of spaciousness. The chili was great snd tasted homemade with a nice cumin aftertaste. They were accommodating in both an individual and group settings. The nachos were also very tasteful and the sweet potato fries were excellent. I recommend them highly. Over the past couple years, i've noticed the service get worse and worse. If there was another place that made decent food, this place would have no business. My order is often messed up and if you order online or call, expect to wait 30 min after they tell you it's ready. Last time dining in, my waitress lost track of us and completely forgot, our waters were empty and we were sitting unhappy. This was the worst service we have had in our life hands down. It took 25 minutes just to get our drinks. And then had to wait another 20 minutes for a refill. We came in for the Rib special. Well it was the biggest mistake ever. The ribs are straight gross Bottom line. It took and hour and a half to get our meal and it was straight gross. We paid $81.81 and it wasn't worth $10. I can not believe this place is even open. Also you would think a rib special they would already be made not take 1 1/2hrs to get to your table. May I say there was only 4 other families eating at the time we were there. You could tell the other families weren't happy neither. By the time we got our cheese curds they were pretty much soaking in oil. 0 stars would be appropriate for this place. We stopped at acouple other places in Crookston after we left here and we were told by many people to stay away. Get this we asked for a full rack of ribs each. Well both our plates together were maybe a full rack. I have no reason to return to this place and would never drive an hour ever again to go to this place. Worst service as well as terrible food. Looking at the building you would think that iwould be a classy place with high end food. Not the case. We feel we got ripped off to be honest. The ribs got us both sick not long after leaving we both had nasty tummies. It's to bad a place can let there quality and service get this bad. The locals that live there will be the first to tell ya to stay away. We could of flushed that $100 down the toilet and felt better about it then eating here! Not Happy at all. We did find a little place down the road that topped off our empty tummies though that was the only good about traveling to Crookston to eat supper. I have eaten here a couple of times during my travels. The burgers are good, standard, bar burgers. The mac and cheese is good even as a take out. The lunchtime chix fed alf wasnt awesome. There was so much sauce that i had to strain my noodles. The chicken tasted like the frozen reheated bag kind. The tomato basil soup was good. It didnt look like it would be because it was very pale, but the taste was good. I do wish there was more basil in the soup. I couldnt find any. read more

It's a sports bar. It's Sports Bar food. Nothing great, and average at best. I had the Draft Melt. Their version of a Patty Melt. There was too much breading for the size of the burger. The bacon-tomato jam was not a hit either. I had onion rings and they were lukewarm and slightly soggy. My wife had the Beer Battered Walleye. It was pretty good, but the batter had some funky taste, maybe something with the oil? The fries were good, but the others at the table stated that the aftertaste of the fries had some of that same off putting taste. A friend recommended the three little pigs sandwich so i ordered it. So its a burger with mozzarella, ham, pulled pork, bacon and bourbon bbq sauce. Ok for starters BBQ sauce was like water ran right off the sandwich ham was a micro thin piece of lunch meat pulled pork was just mush and to top it off it cost $14 so not impressed. Just a recommendation put a piece of good ham, some real pulled pork not mush, a BBQ sauce that isn't like water and replace the mozzarella with a nice smoked cheddar. Also peppered bacon would be nice too. Until then i will not spend that kind of money on something i can make way better at home. read more

I've gone to drafts 3 times now, and it still ceases to please me. The first time I went, it took almost a full 10 minutes for someone to come up front to get us a table. There was only about 3 tables full and a couple people at the bar section, so I couldn't see how they couldn't get up there in time. Next, for all 3 times, their "famous ribs" were completely over-cooked. They were a giant burnt mess, that I couldn't tell the difference between the meat or the bone half the time. Finally, I tried a normal cheese burger with bacon the third time, yet the burger was slightly over done, there wasn't any bacon on it, and they put some type of seasoning on it that I hadn't told them to put on. On top of all that, each order took a considerably long amount of time. I even heard some other tables talking about how they've been waiting for a long time too, as if it was a prison. I gave you enough chances, yet you blew them faster than a Vietnamese hooker. I do not plan on coming back. read more
