Great place for a beer. Service was good, and the meal was fresh. Interesting crowd there being as it's a truck stop.

I had the Ode to grapefruit American IPA it was smooth and delicious with a hint of grapefruit. We sat at a booth, but waited and waited for Service. 4 other folks came in and sat at the bar. They we're promptly served and actually had their food served to them before the server even came back to take our drink order. We then move to the bar where we were promptly served, drink orders with food. my wife and I split the Nashville chicken and a side of beer, cheese and fries. The Nashville chicken had a good taste however it was pretty thin the beer cheese fries were delicious. However they came out way after our chicken was served. I will give it a 5+ for the beer, A 3 for the food, zero for the Service if you're setting at a table and a three for the prompt, but not too friendly bar made.

We got a booth inside since it was too hot to dine on their veranda. Our waitress was prompt with our orders and my huckleberry mule came out in a reasonable amount of time. The drink itself was OK. It's fruitiness was a bit odd but at $8 it was a good deal. I ordered the boneless wings with the sweet chili sauce. They were quite good. My wife took advantage of their Monday night $5 off all burgers special and got their specialty burger with bacon, peanut butter and a fried egg on it. Sound gross but she liked it though it was a bit overdone at pink since they wouldn't do medium rare. Prices were reasonable though they have a credit card surcharge. The big complaint was how long we had to wait for our food to arrive even though by the time we ordered the crowds had dissipated. It was a looooong time.

It's a dive bar, so I'm not expecting grade A, but have the list available to people. Odd there was a bouncer at the door. Like it's a restaurant. Must get rowdy?? I don't know. It was Saturday at 7pm when we were there, nothing out of the ordinary. Now, this is not our first time eating here. We are from out of town and probably make it to grand forks once a year maybe. The first time we had wings here, out of this world!! This time...soup master zero. Absolutely drowning in sauce. And they were 5000 degrees, so too hot to eat and handle. By the time we were able to eat them, soggy. The wings themselves also, in our humble opinion too big. The drummies where huge!! I dont like them that big, again just adds to the texture problem. We got traditional buffalo level 15. Flavor was excellent and heat was nice and hot, but not challenging. Also got the peanut butter. Fun!! And the jelly side dip was an excellent pairing. Wouldn't want more than 6, honestly 3 would be good as a fun little novelty. The deep fried okra was a hard pass. Bland, soggy, stupid. Don't bother.

The menu is clearly marked for various food restrictions, which (as a long time gluten-free diner) I really appreciate. I got the featured salad, honey and spice, which was nice, but not mind blowing. The honey mustard dressing was just okay and the blackened chicken was not very flavorful. They left off the walnuts - I had to go back and get them when I realized they were missing. The ordering process was surpringly perfunctory - you have to know what you want, they apparently aren't there to help. And, when you go to through the line, you get no opportunity to customize your order, unless you shout over the partition. When I got to the dressing station, she asked me if I wanted the recommended amount of dressing - how could I possibly know what that is? My biggest complaint, besides the indifferent service (considering they just opened a few days ago, you think they'd be trying to ensure people have a really positive experience), was the surly attitude I got when I expressed a concern about gluten: you can get chips or bread at the end of the line and I asked for chips, but the person waiting on me reached for the bread, and I said, "don't touch the bread before you touch my chips." She got very offended. Among other things, she said "you have to ask for allergy accommodation at the beginning of the line." I think ensuring my food isn't cross contaminated is reasonable at any point in the ordering process. I've been gluten-free for 25 years and I've gotten poisoned by careless people so many times. Her attitude was really off-putting. Next time, I will use the app, so I can easily customize my order and I don't have to interact with the staff. ADDENDUM Someone immediately contacted me from the restaurant and offered me a coupon for a return visit, which I very much appreciate (though I have not had a chance to redeem it, and hopefully change my impression of the service).
