My wife placed an order, through Uber Eats, that included "Steamed Chicken With Mixed Vegetables". When our order arrived, she received a container full of steamed vegetables - with no chicken. She called the restaurant right away and (after a 1-2 minute hold) explained her situation. The man (or teenager?) who took her call instantly launched into an excuse regarding the number of orders they'd had this night, and seemed flustered while trying to locate her order to verify that she ordered what she said she did. After about a minute of fumbling around and repeating how busy they were - without ever offering an apology for the inconvenience - he passed to call off the the manager. The woman (or teenager?) took over the call, offered a brief apology, and then launched into an explanation as to why, since the order was placed through Uber Eats, they would be unable to process a refund themselves, and began to walk my wife through the process of requesting a refund. My wife explained that, regardless of whether or not a refund was processed, her issue was that she now had no dinner, and could we simply request a replacement. The manager reiterated that, because we'd ordered through Uber Eats, they could not deliver a replacement with one of their own drivers. They finally agreed that I would drive to the restaurant to pick up the missed chicken. I have several suggestions for this business. First, when a customer calls with a problem, start with an acknowledgement and an apology, rather than excuses. We paid a lot of money for your food to be delivered, and our dinner was not only unnecessarily delayed by over 30 minutes, the food was also pretty much cold by the time the dust settled. Next, ask the customer how they want to resolve the issue before making assumptions. When you're hungry, a refund does nothing to solve your problem. Lastly, think about what you're saying. We were told that the restaurant couldn't fix our issue because we'd ordered through a third party. But the Uber driver didn't pick up or drop off the wrong order - the order itself was prepared and packed incorrectly. This issue wasn't Uber's fault, so the impetus to correct the problem should have fallen on Dragon City. You have delivery drivers? Good - deliver the food that your employees left out of our order. We plan to offer one final piece of assistance to this restaurant. Since they're apparently so busy with orders that they can't be bothered to make sure that the orders are packed correctly, we're going to help relieve some pressure by taking our business elsewhere. read more

We moved to the west side from northern Kentucky. We tried Dragon City a couple of weeks ago and have ordered their food several times since then. We have tried General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. These dishes are equally good. Their Eggrolls are great as well. The food is soooo good!!! Literally mouth watering. Me and my boyfriend wanted to order dinner and pick up. We ordered online, and it was ready when we got there. We got chicken teriyaki skewers, combination mee fun, combo plate pepper steak and veggie LoMein. They gave us free crab Rangoons which was awesome because I wanted them but didn't actually order them so they were free and it was just such a nice surprise. Lol 10/10. One of my go to places. It's literally right up the street. However lately I've been going to Wok China. Love their Kung pao chicken.

I had not visited here in a short while, but I have eaten here off and on for over 20 years. This latest experience from a customer service perspective was great but the food was bad. The lo mein was over cooked and mushy. The gravy for the egg foo young was thin as water with an unpleasant taste. I was also given a choice of white or fried rice but not told there was an upcharge for the fried; and it turned out to be extremely salty. BUYER BEWARE. I've been a customer of this place for years. The food is mediocre, but it's close to my house and they have a few things I like. I've never had a problem or had to take food back, but yesterday at 3:00 they sent me home with some badly burned egg foo yung. I didn't have time to take it back until 11:30 this morning. I explained it was burned and asked them if they would remake it. Sad to say, I'm not a mind reader so I didn't realize that their policy--which two people shouted at me over and over--is that you have to bring the food back the same day. If I could give them negative stars, I would. The online ordering didn't work, so I called in my order for delivery at 8:30 on a Thursday. I don't get too concerned about customer service with Chinese restaurants, because that's not their specialty, but it was more rushed and rude than even I expected. I was told my food would arrive in about 45 minutes. At 10:15, with my stomach crying out for what would have been my first "real food" of the day, I called to check the progress. I was told abruptly that he was on his way. The food never showed up. I held out hope until 11:30 (after calling again at 11:15, knowing they were closed but hoping they'd have the decency to pick up- they did, and hung the phone up immediately. I had to do some heavy meditation and praying to get over my instinct to wish the place would catch on fire. Instead, I will be evangelical in my mission to make sure no one ever gives them money again. The only saving grace was that I was paying cash, because I'm sure they would have charged me for my invisible food. ***UPDATE!!! I'm on the phone with them now to tell them that I ordered food that they never delivered. After passing me around to everyone in the restaurant so I could repeat my story, they told me I must have ordered from somewhere else. I'm going to go meditate now. read more

This is a great place for Chinese American style. The dumplings were very tasty and you get 8 for $5. The food arrived hot and flavorful. Ordering online was simple, and the delivery was fast. I've been eating takeout Chinese food from this location for many years. My family and I have always enjoyed their dishes and would normally think of them as a 3.5 star kinda place. This place has become our go-to because overall it has the best quality. I like more "traditional" (I know, I know, they're not really traditional because they're all Americanized but you know what I mean) dishes, like Moo Goo Gai Pan and Chow Mei Fun, while my husband is an egg roll and General Tso's purist. I feel like I've been to this place many times; it gives me that vibe of a basic Chinese restaurant. That's not something that is negative or an intrusive opinion towards the business, you get high quality service, inexpensive food, and an assortment of menu options. What sets this restaurant apart from other Chinese restaurants it reminds me of is that the food always tastes fresh, it doesn't give me an ill feeling in my stomach. I have to say as well that the portions are rather large. For example, you could order for say, the sweet and sour chicken and split it in half with someone, and have a complete meal. That ranges about $8, so splitting it with someone would make it $4. WOWZA! I've done this a few times with friends not because I'm a cheapskate, but because they give you such a large portion on everything. The chicken is always fresh, the rice is always just right, and the vegetables taste good as well. That is swell enough to say about a basic Chinese restaurant. The restaurant itself is charming, some Chinese accents throughout the restaurant. Service is always extremely fast and friendly. This is your classic Chinese takeout restaurant. They deliver quality food and are FAST. You can order takeout and have it ready in 10 minutes. Delivery often is much faster than what they tell you. For neighborhood Chinese food, Dragon City does it well. Some people reach for the Zinc or orange juice when they feel a cold coming on, I call Dragon City for their Hot 'n Sour Soup. The choices for Asian food are limited on the West Side so Dragon City could totally "phone it in" if they wanted, but they don't. First, they have an on-line ordering system. I've used it in the past with great results. I like knowing my order and address were understood; keeps disappointments jto a minimum. Recent upgrades to the system have made some of the links not active. Now that was disappointing. But it's still helpful to be able to view their plentiful menu with prices to plan your meal. Best value- the lunch specials, which are many, and are available 7 days a week until 3:30pm. I usually get a lunch special and the chicken pad thai to reach their $10 minimum for delivery. I've never been disappointed with any of the lunch specials. What makes Dragon City special is their use of fresh vegetables, nice reuseable plastic containers and generous portions. The aforementioned Hot 'n Sour soup, for example, is delightul with julienne carrots and mushrooms- not just button, but I even spied a portobello cap. It's just as advertised, sour, and a bit spicy with its bountiful sprinkling of red pepper flakes to open up the sinuses. The chicken pad thai, while not the best in Cincinnati, is better than average and has great taste. It, too, sports tons of fresh vegetables but isn't as spicy as I'm accustomed to, but has a great flavor and a kind of heat that kind of builds up after a while, but isn't over-powering. They have an extensive menu, which includes a number of Chef Special dishes, seafood dishes and even party trays to go and delivery. My food arrived in about 45 minutes and the driver always calls upon arrival. Today, I had a very friendly gentleman and his wife, who took time to demonstrate the unusual additional hazard lights he added to his SUV and to tell a brief delivery anecdote while I signed my credit card receipt. Dragon City could very easily do as some of the Clifton Chinese Restaurants and whip out the frozen vegetables (with the crunchy peas, yeah, you know what I mean) in skimpy portions in cardboard and styrofoam. They go the extra mile and I for one appreciate it. There are several Dragon City Restaurants around the city. I've ordered delivery from the one on Reading Rd. at work (yep, this one delivers Downtown!) and have had similar experiences. So, if there's one near you, try it out! read more

I ordered from here on Friday, they said 35-40 minutes. It took literally 15 and someone was ringing my bell. I got chicken fried rice, pork egg roll, and crab rangoon. The rice was good, the meat was a little soft which leads me to believe it isn't white meat. It has a nice smokey flavor which I like. The egg roll was good, large, and fresh. The crab Rangoon was okay, a little over cooked. Overall, it was good, cheap, and amazingly fast delivery. It'll do for Chinese fast food! read more
