Chowmein & egg-drop soup are excellent here! They have boba! & Cheese rangoons! The noodle chips are the best!!!

They use SPAGHETTI instead of Hong Kong-Style Pan-Fried noodles like Panda Express uses. I normally order the sweet and sour chicken when ever I go to an Asian restaurant but the Sweet & Sour Chicken were burnt deep fried pieces of chicken. We received our meal via DoorDash about 40 minutes ago. Our trashcan had new contributions 10 minutes later. The soup was good, everything else was horrible. Never got sick from a few bites of food until I came here. I used to frequent this place years ago and was never disappointed. But coming to Gallup and passing thru I thought this would be a great choice. Bad decision. First thing I saw was what I assumed brown rice. I asked what it was and the lady said it was "fried rice" it contained no eggs or veggies. Just rice and soy sauce. I ordered the terikaki chicken and the beef broccoli, spring rolls and shrimp. The chicken was nice looking and when I took a bite it was I kid you not Grainy in texture. I then took a bite if the broccoli and it had no crunch. Just soggy mush. The beef didn't taste very good either. A pungent ammonia taste. I tried the lo mein and I kid you not had taste akin to moth balls. I actually stopped and tried the spring roll. Not any better but veggie mush in a layer of crispy pastry. It 3 am in the next morning and I'm so sick now. Stomach pains and burping up the horrible bites of food. People don't know this but this is a small branch off from King Dragon. However, the food here taste somewhat better. If you're in search of quick satisfying Chinese food then come check out this location. The owners usually work here and they're always super nice to their customers. If you want fresh food they're always more than happy to prepare it for you. I honestly prefer this place over Panda Express but some of my friends differ. Dragon Express: Finally some good Chinese food! After being disappointed at Hong Kong and California Chinese I had begun to wonder if I'd find any good Chinese food in Gallup, but look no further. The spring rolls are large and delicious, the egg rolls were in need of hot mustard but I was glad to see they weren't overcooked or greasy. I ordered a 3 item combo which comes with rice or noodles for $7.25. A great deal, especially since I opted for no rice or noodles and felt like I got an extra portion of each of my items. The teriyaki chicken comes with the sauce on the side, which I opted to have w/o sauce. The chicken was moist and had a savory smoky flavor. The moogoogaipan chicken was pounded chicken with mushrooms, bamboo shoots and broccoli which had semicooked broccoli, not overly crunchy which was perfect. The Kung Pao Chicken had peanuts, celery, carrots, zucchini and thigh meat chicken, it was over salted and not very spicy. There is chili oil available for $0.25, but I am not a big fan of chili oil so I opted to eat it as it was. There is seats for 22 people inside & they have fountain drinks which you fill yourself, bottled water or Boba milk drinks. This was hands down the most disgusting food I have ever eaten. I'm giving them two stars because the staff was nice. But I cannot stress how nasty this food was. I don't ever post reviews, but I'm sitting in my truck in the parking lot trying to decide if I should make myself puke, or just let it happen once this food hits my stomach. I had the "fried" rice, the kung pao chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken. The kung pao was a long stringy mess that I did eat a few pieces of, in hopes I'd find a good one. The spice was good, but if that meat was actually chicken, it appears to have been dragged behind a truck and pulsed in a blender prior to cooking. I don't know what's more amazing: the extent to how terrible the food is or the fact that it has 4 Yelp stars. I guess it's true what my girlfriend says, "you really can't trust yelp in New Mexico." I was starved of calories and after 12 hours of driving, I was feeling deprived of greens so I didn't argue and tried to order things which didn't look like I'd get too sick had I eaten them ... I chose the Moo Goo and some spicy pork thing, half white rice and half noodles. Naturally I avoided the double fried orange chicken (which would explain the seemingly high cholesterol issue among our fellow patrons) and the broccoli beef that looked as though it had been sitting there a week. The beef was surely spoiled and was a hue of brown I'd previously only seen in public toilet bowls. The girl who worked there was nice enough. Gave me more vegetables when I asked. Much to much surprise my Asian girlfriend ordered the beef. Perhaps her black eyes are not as sensitive to the color brown as my blue eyes are. However sure enough after taking first bite, she spit it out yelling MAZUI! (Japanese for "tastes like sh*t"). My Moo Goo although looked better from outside the glass, on closer investigation, appeared to have traces of early mold spores... Yeah. I ate some of the ones that looked better but they tasted weird too, like an oyster sauce explosion. Seriously nasty food. The pork was overcooked too but at least had flavor which couldn't be said about the spaghetti like flavor free chow mein. Inside the pork remained the overlying theme; dangerously old vegetables mixed in with the new. Out of respect for the living creatures who have been sacrificed so I can be a fat American, I have never left so much protein on my plate before today but I not going to risk my heath for it. Shortly after, surprise surprise, my girlfriend begins complaining of a stomach ache. This place should be shut down. They don't even serve water. If that doesn't tell you something about the overall heath of clientele ... This place is alright Chinese. It's set up like Panda Express. The most economical meal I get is the two item. They pack the to-go container full of food. My favorite thing (what I recommend) is teriyaki chicken, as one item, and an egg roll as the other item. (Economical because the two item isn't too much more than the one item.) I see most people pay more; they'll order one Item and order an egg roll. When they could order two items for less. Anyway, the teriyaki chicken is slow cooked and grilled after. I used to like this place but today I was completely shocked at how ridiculously cheap and unfriendly they were. I ordered my usual chicken and veggie fried rice but decided to add 2 bowls of egg drop soup to go. Order was underway as they put soup in to go cups. I asked for a few crispy fried noodles on the top of each soup but was refused. Said I had to buy a $2 bag of noodles, (95% of which I prob wouldn't use). Said I just wanted a little bit on top. She had to ask her manager and this unseen person in back room also refused. Weird that they would lose a $20 order over a few cents worth of crispy noodles. I walked out and will never return. For other businesses that might see this, make a note that the customer is very important over a few cents worth of product. And by the way other customers asked for crispy noodles on top of their chowmein and were given it. Guess it's just not meant for egg drop soup. read more
