I had placed an order through DoorDash for delivery. For whatever reason, DoorDash driver never picked up the order. I called Dragon Garden to find out what was holding up my order and they told me to contact DoorDash. I tried, but there is only chat for support and they would not respond. I drove to Dragon Garden and picked up my order. They were very nice. The food was ready when I got there and they took off the charges that DoorDash charges. This place has terrible service. I waited forever in line just to place my order. All the servers were working on phone orders and letting the instore customers just wait, people would ask questions. And the servers acted like they didn't understand English. When one finally got up to the counter the servers were fluent in English. I really loved this place and have been coming here for a while now but after the experience I had today I will never be coming back again....usually the staff is friendly and smiling and offering samples but today all the employees seemed to be in a horrible mood...and in the middle of my meal my baby started to get fussy so I wanted to leave before she got too loud and disrupted other people eating so I asked one of them "mamm may I have a bag please?" And she gave me the most evil look, ripped of her gloves, and tossed the bag at me and didn't say a word. I stood right in front of the counter thinking for several minutes (I was the only customer, no wait - it was 2:30 on a Sunday) and the staff did not make me feel pressured to order. I had the Orange Chicken and Beef and Broccoli with fried rice. I also had the egg rolls. The food was hot when I got it and very reasonably priced. For the portion size I'd say it was a better deal than other chain Chinese cuisine places in town. The food tasted good, but the rice was a little bland. The food was overcooked, the beef was cooked so long it was mush, and the orange chicken was clearly old dry chicken that was covered with tempura. The customer service was absolutely atrocious. They treated us like enemies because we asked for 2 extra sauces and wanted to charge us for them after they loaded us up with over cooked rice and noodles. I love this place. I just recently found the restaurant and it's so good. It's not too greasy as other Chinese places (not including Panda Express). The egg rolls are the bomb! 10 egg rolls for 4.50 or 4. But still great price. Got two combos B's, 10 egg rolls, 1 drink for $21.80. Great price because they fill it up. One of my favorite things about it is how clean it is. And the free water they give. It's ice cold and can get however much water you want. With each bite we kept saying how surprised we were at how good the taste was. It resembled more of like a sit down restaurant style food once you do the special order. However, The two things that set me over the edge and guaranteed that I will return were these and they had nothing to do with food. 1) in the downtime the lady was cleaning the walls not just the tables but the walls as well. 2) that bathroom was something straight Outta HGTV with the light gray tiles on the floor the large subway tiles in an off gray color on the walls floor to ceiling with a nice backsplash and cleanliness.
