For a quickie little steamtable Chinese place Dragon Garden is damn good, far better than what you'd find at Panda and more reasonable too. I got a Combo C which got me a choice of three plus rice and noodles. My choices were BBQ pork which was damn good, spicy chicken which was equally as good,and black pepper beef which was the tastiest item I ordered. As I stated before if you tke into account that this is a steamtable Chinese fast-food establishment it realy is quite good. My husband and I go out quite a bit and try new places all the time. Nothing against a hard working family but we were not impressed and the food wasn't what we thought it would be. I have had better Chines food. Don't get me wrong they give generous portions for your money. But the fried rice didn't look fried to me and the food was kinda blah. The noodles weren't very good. We both had the same plate. Pork and Teriyaki Chicken. They were both over cooked or had been on the warmer too long. The pork tasted good at first but that didn't last after a few bites... We did not finish our plates. The atmosphere was ok it was clean but not meant to impress. I guess I was expecting more then what we got for Chines food. I went to This place and I found a staple in my teriyaki chicken I was eating then I felt something in my mouth I quickly grabbed a napkin to spit it out and yup a staple I called but no one speaks English and the manager wasn't in until the next day I went the next day he spoke very little English and asked me what I wanted to do I told him to give me the owners number he told me he wasn't able to but they have insurance and gave me a number to an alarm company. Sorry, despite all the great reviews about this being better than Panda Express, it's not. There were two of us and got to dinners plus an egg soup and egg rolls. The noodles are surely not as good as Panda, they are dense and kind of mushy. The fried rice is ok, just not much flavor. Soup, not much flavor. My boyfriend wouln't even finish the orange chicken. I've always had a love for those small mom and pop Chinese eateries or as I like to call them "Ghetto Chinese". After having a craving for fast cheap oriental cuisine I started my search of the area and located this place. My first impression was not bad as everything seemed as it should be. Your typical buffet style line,the legendary combo A B C choices and of course it would not be complete without the Asian staff that speak a cross between Chinese and what seems to be English. After much confusion we finally had our orders placed. When we paid we did not get our food so we asked if we were waiting on something and then were informed by the cashier that they were making sweet and sour pork. I can't blame them for the language barrier - heck at least they are trying. So we finally get our food and head home. To my surprise the food is actually not half bad. I chow down and get the usual case of the sleepys right after. A few hours later I start feeling a bit off and try to get some sleep. Now this is the part that really matters - "The aftershock" both my wife and I wake up with an upset stomach and feeling a bit nauseated the next morning. The employees at this location are so rude! They keep the napkins behind the counter and when I asked for some napkins they only gave me three one for me my son and fiancé. I asked for extra teriyaki sauce and the man asked me, "for what?" I said for my food! Then I asked for the chili cups and he only gave me one I said two one for me one for my fiancé! He looked very annoyed! And they started saying stuff in their language. The young girl then got mad when we asked for a cup of water. She Rudely said, "no soda" she assumed my fiancé was going to steal soda. And then said in a very annoyed toned, "anything else???" Like if we were bothering her! One of the only two places in the AV I'll get Chinese food from. The service is quick and easy. The employees aren't Chick Fil A nice but they get the job done. Pretty much can't go wrong with anything on menu. My favorite is the coconut shrimp, very creamy and satisfying. The dine in isn't super fancy but it's comfortable and nice enough to stay in. The popping boba drinks are really good so is the typical boba. Their Thai tea is amazing if you want something other than a usual soft drink. Love this place for a quick-bite to eat. Portions are big & can feed ya for 2 meals easily; or, can feed 2 people if you can agree on what to order lol. Love their BBQ pork!!! Costumer Service was horrible! It was my first time trying this place so I asked if they had bowls. The lady looked at me weird and gave me attitude. I can't eat meat so I asked for fried rice and fried shrimp. The lady doubted me and asked again. Either she didn't hear me or she didn't understand me, but she asked another worker to clarify. They both started talking in their language which I didn't understand. The lady ended up filling the bowl with rice and didn't give me the shrimp. She was very slow and took her time. This place was gross. I usually just go to panda express for chinese food but i decided to try something new. First off the place was dirty stains and trash on the floor like they don't know what a mop is. I got the orange chiken, chow mein, white rice, and teriyaki chicken. They pile the food up so i thouhght i was getting a good deal. I got home and the food was colder than my exes heart. The quality was so bad it tasted like it been there for hours. Used to really like this place but it appears standards are taking a nose dive. Many of the employees touch cash, faces, cough without covering their mouths, a customer came in with a dog and they touched that too then proceeded to serve good without wearing gloves or washing hands. I when to this place a while back.i was paying with a hundred dollar bill.the cashier put my money through a machine with a fluorescent light it showed the money Was good.so she held the $100 dollar bill in the air look at it for almost a minute .that wasn't good enough so she start scratching it .after scratching it she huddle around the $100 bill for with four other employees for another minute and half this process took almost 5 minutes. This place is great!! The food is delish and you get tons of it!!! They are priced very well for the amount of food they give you! There is plenty of variety and I havent had anything I didnt like!
