This place is a true hidden gem! We eat here weekly and always order the curry chicken--it's some of the best I've ever had. The staff is consistently kind, helpful, and incredibly fast. Prices are very reasonable, especially in this economy, and our orders always stretch into multiple meals. We've only ever had one minor issue with an order, and they handled it privately and professionally, going above and beyond to make it right. They recently introduced a punch card reward system, which is fantastic because we love this place and will definitely take advantage of it. In a time when inflation has made freebies rare, they still occasionally include extras like an egg roll, crab Rangoon, or even a soda with large orders--something we truly appreciate. Food is not fresh. Shrimp fried rice was bland. Eggs rolls &chicken wings had to have been double fried. Extra oily and tasted burn. The pork eggs rolls were really brown and were completely full of cabbage and nothing else. Very cheap with the duck sauce like you have to keep on insisting they will only give you two at a time for almost $50 worth of food. They threw in "free" cream cheese wontons but they were a waste we don't like them here. I watched the cashier handle cash and credit cards and directly go back to handling food without washing her hands. Located in a medium sized strip mall next to Food Lion lies Top China. If you are driving by and don't look up you will miss out on this delicious and hidden gem. Definitely worth turning around for and grabbing lunch as their prices and food cannot be matched. I was starving and decidee to get their chicken with broccoli lunch that came with a spring roll. The lady behind the counter which was partitioned in plastic from floor to ceiling was very nice and I was able to quickly place and pick up my order. I opened it up in the car and it was pipping hot, but it mostly had rice conpared to the broccoli and chicken. Despite this everything was good and had a great flavor. A few years ago we use to order from Top China once a week. In the beginning the food was very good and then we noticed a slight decline. We moved out of state and have just moved back. We decided to give Top China a try again, and I am very pleased we did. The old owners are no longer there and there are new faces. The food once again has flavor. We have ordered once a week for the last month and the quality and service has been consistently great. They even give you a free egg roll or crab Rangoon depending on how much you order- Old school Asian way of recognizing good customers. They also have a punch card. If you are looking for some tasty Chinese food, give Top China a try. One tip is that when you order for pick up add 5-10 minutes extra to the time they tell you. Finding a good chinese food place is a thing to be celebrated. Often what you find is too expensive, or too sketchy, too far away, or the food just isn't good. I was really happy to find Top China (on my sister's recommendation) because it has everything I want. Close, clean, run by Chinese people, reasonably priced, and the food (from what I've had) is solid. I've had the General Tso's, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Cashew Chicken (I think). Everything has been very good, fresh, and I would definitely go back again and again. Plus, you're not breaking the bank to get a few dishes. Definitely check it out. This is easily the best Chinese take-out that I have ever eaten. We've ordered from here 4 times now in the span of a couple of months and have yet to be let down. My personal favorite is the coconut shrimp. This last time I decided to be a little more adventurous and try the lobster fried rice and wow... That was awesome too. I also like how they'll add free items to your order once you've ordered a certain dollar amount. The young lady who typically works the front counter is very pleasant and accommodating and I don't think we've had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for our food. I've never had any complaints with Top China, located right by the Food Lion near Jack Britt. The food is always good and they make it quick. Plus they are open in a giant snow storm which is a huge bonus in my book! We're big fans of the pork fried rice and sesame chicken. NEVER eat here I've never went out of my way to give a restaurant a negative review but this place is horrible. The food was so greasy and the meat tasted like it was thawed and refrozen. Not to mention I was charged almost an extra $3.00 for getting house fried rice with my combination instead of pork fried rice that it comes with. That's 3.00 for about 2 pieces of shrimp that she charged on my debit card before explaining smh when I asked the lady why my order was $17.33 for ONE person combination plate when even with 3.00 for rice the combination is only about 9.00 so how do you get to 17.33 she began yelling at me instead of explaining the food wasn't even cooked or started to cook and she refused to refund my money or lower it back to pork fried rice. Then she started yelling about me to the other workers and in front of other customers.
