I tried something different here than my usual vermicelli spot that was surprisingly closed for the day for an event on arrival. It was my birthday and had plans. We were referred here. I ordered the Spare Ribs in Garlic Sauce. It wasss Amazing. The garlic sauce was very familiar to a restaurant in a larger city which I no longer live. That alone has me wanting to come back. Service was quick and very attentive plus friendly. Restaurant was classic, clean, and spacious. We enjoyed talk to the host and the chef was nice as well. I've been thinking non-stop about my meal and ready to return. I've learned not to order your usual loved dish at an unfamiliar restaurant. My mom order vermicelli like I did here before. They were running takeout only when I tried them. One could call ahead, but I ordered there and it was ready as quickly as they said it would be, less than fifteen minutes for sure. They have a large menu with a small vegetarian section, and I got some rolls and a salad as well as the main attraction: a large crepe. My banh xeo was two mushroom and onion crepes with a whole separate container of lettuce and sauce; I was told to break off bits of the crispy crepe and use the lettuce to wrap it. The default was fish sauce even in the "vegetarian" section, but they did offer me a switch to peanut sauce. My salad and rolls came with the same soy peanut sauce (for some reason, the one with the rolls was offered spicy and the others were not), but it was a delicious sauce and I had no qualms about putting it on everything. The substantial noodle salad had some tofu, as did the rolls. The crepe was the most interesting element, but altogether I got three tasty light meals for a reasonable price. read more

Ha ha ha. I love the name of this place, I wanted to make sure that I got the name right and it really is just called 'Vietnamese restaurant.' My friend who is now stationed in the area loves coming here for the Pho, Vietnamese beef noodle soup. New year, new adventure. Had to start my new year with Vietnamese restaurant, my first time here by the way. It was recommended by my gym class battle. I was craving for pho and she said to try this one, she said their pho here are great. Typically, when I go to any Vietnamese restaurant, I opt for their combination pho and deed fried rolls. I went in on a weekday late lunch around 2 and the place was quart empty, which I prefer. Less customers, faster service, although that is not always the case. So, I went in, got greeted and seated. I order combo pho the rolls. Wait time was ok, not too long, not to quick, very typical of pho places. I got my order, the deep-fried rolls were delicious, just the way I like my rolls. Side order of these rolls comes in 3, unlike other places I've been, it only comes with 2. So, rolls are a must in here. Now come to the pho, I am not sure if it was me not wearing my food lover hat or something, but the combo pho broth was bland. I mean, sure there's fish sauce, soy sauce and other condiments in the table, but I'd expect my broth to be already well-pretasted and ready to eat by the customers. The staff were courteous, the place was clean and organized. Parking could be very limited during rush hour as it's located next to other mini stores. I've been coming here with my parents for awhile and really love the food and the atmosphere when we're here. The summer rolls are delicious and usually what we always order but they have great noodle dishes as well. They're able to have larger parties which is nice but also have booths for when its just a few people. I noticed a lot of reviewsI will say the vietnamese dishes don't seem to be that authentic which is true but they're still tasty and cheap! Recently, I ordered the rare steak pho and it was decent, but unfortunately the broth was sort of bland and the steak wasn't that rare. It was garnished with bean sprouts, jalapeños and limes as well as fish sauce, sriracha, and different hot sauce--which really saved the dish in my opinion. I may not order the pho anymore but the other dishes are still delicious and I'm sure I'll keep coming back with my parents. Bottom line: Give them a try! Everyone is different with their preference for speciality foods (in this case Vietnamese) but considering it is cheap with good portions, it doesn't hurt to try! Their Vietnamese pancakes, banh xeo, is excellent. Their banh cuon and vermicelli is great too at affordable pricing for the portion you'll get vs other restaurants around. I have yet to try their Pho, possibly will soon because the weather finally getting colder. We always do take out and the ladies were always helpful and nice! This one one of the top 3 pho places in Fayetteville. I've also had the vermicelli noodle bowels and it is quite good, its a much more "fresh" tasting dish if your not in the mood for soup noodles. Before coming here i made a call and asked them make sure that this is a Vietnamese restaurant, they said "yes". However when i came, only one can speak Vietnamese but he is Chinese. The food is so terible. I call H25 "Mi Quang" but it is 100% different from Mi Quang in Vietnam. I asked them, they said they need to change for American people, i told them but you couldnt change 100% like this. They said "up to you". After leaving my beloved favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Cincinnati, which delivered to my office none the less, I was excited to find this spot. I had the h23 which is chicken pho. It was on point. I had this to go and they separated everything to make transport easier. This was also helpful since with the large serving this was multiple meals for me. I am a student at Methodist University who just moved to the area. (I had been commuting from a small town between here and Raleigh). I love trying new foods, and Vietnamese was an unknown realm for me...until yesterday when I checked the hours of operation for the sushi spot my guy and I were going to try out and they were Closed on Sunday. Things like this really do happen for a reason because after we checked some other restaurants out online he convinced me to expand my palate at Vietnamese Restaurant and I am CERTAIN that I would not have had the experience anywhere else that I had at Vietnamese Restaurant! Our waitress Jennifer knew all of the ins and outs of the menu, and when I told her I had never eaten Vietnamese food, she was more than willing to expound upon the various dishes. As I sipped my plum wine and we enjoyed our summer roll appetizer accompanied by fresh and tasty peanut sauce, Jennifer even took the time to stop by our table briefly with each dish as it came out of the kitchen so that we had a visual match up to the descriptions on the menu. At this point my date and I took our post appetizer smoke break and before we were done, another employee came out and apprised us that our main course was ready at our table! I found this to be super considerate since she probably had other customers of her own. We approached our table and what sat in front of us was beauty to us, however, only a precursor to the impending delight that would soon reach our taste buds. He ordered a fried rice dish that had roast pork, chicken, shrimp, and chinese sausage and I ordered a vermicelli/salad dish with grilled shrimp and ground shrimp which was wrapped around a sugar cane and roasted. The waitress explained to me that the sauce provided with my dish was sort of like my salad dressing and to make sure and mix everythng up because there were vegetables at the bottom. She then went on to indulge our spicy desires by giving us four different sauces each better than the last. I was unsure of how the sauces would compliment our dishes but to my suprise Jennifer informed us that all the sauces would meld wonderfully. After our repast, we asked about a treat we read about from a review, and within minutes, our Vietnamese coffee appeared at the table, with a minor set of instructions. This interactive libation was the perfect end to an awesome meal, and quickly gave me the energy I needed to be able to walk out of the restaurant back to the car. As a waitress who dines out a lot, I know what standards for service are and I know how rarely servers live up to those expectations! Everything here is delicious. The pho is good. The vermicelli salads are great. They have the best fried spring rolls in town. If you like spicy food ask for the spice rack and they will bring you an assortment of spicy condiments to add to your dish. They were nice and fat, but the peanut sauce was mostly hoisin sauce. That was disappointing. The pho was okay. It's good if you have a craving. It had all of the right ingredients, meats, and veggies. But, the broth was disappointing. I have a suspicion that it was made from a flavor cube. Not cool. Overall, not a bad experience. Came here for dinner for the first time with a friend. We ordered 2 orders of spring rolls (not fried). My friend ordered chicken pho and I ordered the combo pho (with rare steak, beef meatballs, tendon, and tripe). Pros - Good service. No complaints. - Good spring rolls! Awesome filling and flavor. We didn't finish our spring rolls, so we asked them for 2 takeout boxes. They gave us each extra sauce in a little container and wrapped the spring rolls in plastic wrap, to prevent them from drying out. - Good flavor With the exceptions, which I mention below, the overall flavor was good. - Diverse menu. This place is "Vietnamese Restaurant", but their menu includes Chinese food items. On the one hand, I have an issue with this. If you have a speciality, stick with it! On the other hand, my guess is that they're trying to appeal to the military and southern population. Cons - Broth flavor not as strong/flavorful. This may sound picky, but I am a pho aficionado, so I know what I'm talking about! The broth of pho must be flavorful in order to compliment and give better flavor to the noodles. Their broth here has flavor, but it's just very light. - Only one size for dishes. I like being able to chose the size of the noodle soup bowls, which this place doesn't have. Most pho restaurants have at least 2 sizes you can choose from. - Quality of the chicken is off. My friend's chicken pieces were off. They weren't very meaty or tender. My friend had to pick off some pieces of tendon. The meat in pho must always be tender, chewy, and delicious. Not a good sign. Final Answer Definitely worth coming here. While I prefer Grilled Ginger to this place, this is still on my list of places I would return to. read more

The pho had no smell off onions or even start anise, which is essential for real pho. They gave us one small plate of veggies for us to share, an when we asked for more, our waitress said "one more?" Sorry after asking, she stood around as if we had not asked. We got coffee and Thai tea. The coffee was good, but we got about 4oz of it. The tea was diluted and seemed artificial. The prices for everything seemed like a rip off, considering these drinks, the pho, and that the Bahn Xeo, an easy dish, was $14 for two small ones. I strongly recommend that you about this place.
