Ahhh, this is a pretty good Chinese place...nothing fancy BUT good food (in big portions). Service was very friendly and fairly fast. We saw a lot of takeout pickups while we waited. This is in a small shopping plaza with ample parking...very basic, though a noticeably clean restaurant. We ordered the orange beef and garlic sauce triple delight--both were great. The star of the evening was the fried dumplings--they were cooked crispy and still juicy--so delightful. This will definitely be our go-to Chinese. read more

Food was really hard to eat. The chicken was hard and could hardly chew it. Very disappointed.

Omgoodness'. ....their Buffett is to die for!!! Seriously!!! Each dish is prepared with care...green beans steamed and crisp...steamed dumplings are amazing-complete with fresh cut chives!!! Fried rice chef "Chi" who fills the pans is soooo proud and personal!!! It's busy during lunch hour...I'm their new VIP customer!!! Dragon King offers good Chinese food (for Carteret County, NC). I have been ordering their food for close to 15 years. There are other options for Chinese food within a 10 mile radius, but none come close to Dragon King. I mostly do take out, and sometimes they make mistakes in the order, but by and large this is a solid choice for a Hines food in Easter NC. Now, if you compared to food in Raleigh or other cities, you would not rate this place nearly as high, because in a larger comparison the food is just passable. But again, as an option for Carteret County, this is the best choice in Chinese food. read more

Don't let the appearance fool you. The price is great and the food is surprising good. Note: if you come for the buffet on the weekend, there won't be much food out but if you're nice to the staff, they'll keep refilling the trays. Also note: they use disposable plates instead of ceramic. Again, these things still don't make the low price and yummy food less attractive. We'll definitely come back. read more

Awesome Chinese take out (haven't sampled the buffet yet) I always get the general tso with shrimp fried rice. Very friendly too.

Awful just awful.... I called ahead to place my order and when I arrived I still had to wait 20 minutes. They got my order wrong but I was sick of waiting so I didn't make them redo it. We ended up with Kung Pao chicken, chicken and broccoli, steamed dumplings and an egg roll. The white rice was sticky and had no flavor. The dumplings were bland and so was the rest of the food. After a few bites I stopped eating it. It really was terrible. I won't go back. read more
