This has become our go-to Chinese restaurant. It is very lowkey and nothing fancy -- though always clean and very friendly service. The food is fantastically prepared and always fresh. We love their shrimp fried rice -- always taste seasoned-wok-fried; quick shrimp fry loaded w vegetables; beef or shrimp broccoli; fried fish (w sauce on the side); and so much more. Wife and I out for her Birthday meal. The server was a young man assumably family whom took our order without writing it down. Wife ordered a Shrimp dish, I ordered 2 shrimp egg rolls beef fried rice and chicken Lo mein. First out egg rolls. I cut into one to let some of the steam out after cooking. Mind you I'm hungrier than a bear coming outta a 3 year hibernation. I take a bite and find not even hot. Ok still hungry I'll eat them anyway. Out comes chicken Lo mein. Now wife is like "Do I get to eat tonite?" And they present a plate of something NOT Shrimp. We flag down the young man who appeared not interested. We explain and he grabs the plate from the table and storms off. Incoming plate. Some assimilation of beef fried rice with extra helping of oil. Second egg roll just cooler than the first. Wife finally gets he correct meal but the night is ruined. Then the young man asks if everything was OK. People are always so nice. Food comes out relatively fast and everything is good. Boba is always good and takes less than 5 minutes to get.

Our fam of 7 enjoyed our food from here! It is yummy, but not the best we have had. I think this might have been the worst Chinese food I've ever had. What is this chicken? Is it chicken? Since when does zucchini qualify as a Chinese vegetable? Thank you for the 1/2 of a baby corn. The chicken pad thai noodles had the same chicken that is just nasty. The sauce was more the consistancy of curry - watery. Yellow fried rice. That's a new one. My husband and I thought the restaurant was very good. We love the spring rolls. We've had the curry which was pretty spicey and sweet - not our favorite. We've had the hibachi chicken and steak which was good, sezchuan shrimp, and the mei fun noodles. They were also very good. The decor is very pretty, the waitress super sweet. This place is way below average for even your "NY Style" Chinese take-out. Tried in hopes that we wouldn't have to drive to Bamboo (Excellent) in Swansboro from Morehead for average but alas next time we will just keep on going. "Beef on a Stick" - burned charcoal black but served to us anyway. "House Special Fried Rice" Meat was not skillet cooked before hand, rice was thin without egg and the shrimp had an after-taste that I am sure will haunt me later. "Sweet & Sour Chicken" Chicken was over cooked, sauce was separated as some places do but was very thin. "Wonton Soup" Broth was Ok but the Wontons are so firm that you might break the Styrofoam Cup it comes in trying to cut one in it to bite size. I'm pretty sure the same grease is being repurposed no matter what item goes into it. If you choose to dine in as we did there is zero presentation, items come out on paper or plastics plates and there is nothing for you to eat of off unless you demand it or bring your own. I wanted to like this place, I've been dying for decent Chinese in town. We've tried it twice, several weeks apart, thinking maybe they needed some time to work out the kinks. Once we ordered Chinese, once the hibachi. It's really the quality of the meat, it's unpleasantly mushy. We've tried the steak and the chicken and both were mushy, it's really odd. The fried rice is yellow rice with a couple peas and onions thrown in, terrible. Hibachi white sauce was gross. Every item off the Chinese menu had the same problem, mushy meat. This restaurant just opened up this week in Morehead City where it is difficult to find good quality Asian food. We were excited to have a new place so close to home as apparently were others as the restaurant was packed. The atmosphere was nice and it was very clean. I was looking for a place to get some Asian food. This was by far the worst place I have ever eaten and mind you I am Asian. Overpriced and disgusting. The only thing edible was the kids nuggets and the rice. Would be pretty bad if you messed up on the rice being an Asian place. Although the fried rice was lacking salt that came with the kids meal. Basically spent over $76 on two kids meals and watered down boba teas. Had to cancel an order for take home because after tasting the chicken and beef in the Ramen bowls and Thai dish we ordered. Our whole party basically left hungry cause we couldn't stomach whatever meat they tried to serve us. I understand how some chicken is sliced thin but this chicken was questionable. It glistened and the texture...was NOT like chicken. Then in the beef ramen bowl the person who ordered it made a huge crunch as she ate a piece of beef. The noise was so loud it worried us cause we thought she broke a tooth. She said maybe it could be a bone or some type of gristle. I was surprised she even ate any of it cause her first whiff of the bowl she said it smelled like feet. Two others in our party verified the smell of feet. This is just gross and by them not even making amends to the fact we left three full meals on the table without offering any type of comping of meals or discount and just made excuses for the meat they served us made me go here and write this review. We had a table of 4 adults,the Service was extremely slow,it took 20 minutes just to get our drinks and another 20 minutes to get our food they also forgot my appetizer (which I received only after asking for it and it came at the end of my dinner) the sauces were great, to bad the sesame chicken was so hard that you could barely cut them with a knife ( all 3 of us ordered the sesame chicken and had the same problem so it wasn't just me) my shrimp was half cold and hot ( weird I know) ,I told her about the shrimp and she asked if I wanted more but I said no. The third person at our table had a different meal which she said was ok, all 3 who had the sesame chicken could only eat two and three pieces and we didn't take the balance of the meal home it was terrible, the fried rice was hot and tasted good ,just not fried as much as we like. When our waitress finally returned and asked how my meal was , I told her politely I didn't like it, when we got to the front counter to pay ,my friend paid first for his two meals and then I went to pay for our two meals our waitress gave me attitude ( not a good decision on her part) it took us just about an hour for our lossy dinner, we will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN, oh by the way we asked for to go boxes and packed them but left them on the table ,who wants to eat nasty food again ! This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the Morehead city dining scene. First of all, the prices are very reasonable. And for the money, you get a very generous portion of good food. I have eaten there several times, and I am always impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant, the generous portions, and the very reasonable price. Having said that, the food is fresh and well prepared. If I were paying PF Chang prices, I would expect more.
