It felt like a genuine, wholesome experience rather than a tourist trap. Perfect spot for a family day, especially with younger kids. We'll definitely be coming back!

No discounts for going but they do have some pop-up/ food truck type places here. This is on the outside in front of the entrance. Admission was a little expensive in my opinion. I think it was $29 and it was 5pm-8pm. It was a cool experience with the IlluminOdyssey and fun activities they had. It was raining off and on the First Friday of January. The kids weren't able to play in the playground because it was wet and it was kind of hard to see the animals because they were hiding. I think it would be best to go here when daylight savings time begins so it's bright outside still. I would definitely recommend going here at least once.

We had originally booked a bounce house, but due to rain, we had to cancel at the last minute. Less than 24 hours before the party, I reached out to Bunny Gurus hoping for a miracle -- and that's exactly what we got. They responded immediately, had availability, and were incredibly accommodating despite the short notice. From the very first message, they were kind, knowledgeable, and quick to answer all of my questions, which immediately put me at ease during a very stressful moment. On the day of the party, they arrived early to set up fencing and a canopy on our front lawn. The setup was absolutely beautiful and so well organized. They brought 15 therapeutic bunnies that were unbelievably cute, soft, friendly, and cuddly. They even played calming spa music to create a peaceful, stress-free environment -- such a thoughtful touch! As guests began arriving, they were blown away by the setup. People immediately lined up to go inside and feed and play with the bunnies. For younger children, there was a short waiver for parents to sign to ensure everyone's safety (including the bunnies), which was quick and easy. We had over 50 guests, and nearly everyone had the opportunity to go in, pet, and feed the bunnies. The owners brought plenty of food so all the kids could participate, as well as blankets so the bunnies could be held safely and comfortably. Everything was handled so professionally and with so much care -- both for the animals and for the children. This was hands down the highlight of the party. Planning an event for 50+ guests in the rain -- especially after losing our original entertainment -- had me extremely stressed. But I have to say, sitting in there holding those sweet bunnies genuinely lowered my heart rate and helped me relax and reset. It brought such a calm, joyful energy to the entire event. My two-year-old daughter absolutely loved it -- she could have stayed in there all day! I received countless compliments from guests saying it was one of the most unique and enjoyable party experiences they've ever seen and that they'd love to book Bunny Gurus themselves. They were worth every penny and truly made the party unforgettable. If I could book them for every event, I would! Do not hesitate -- 100% reach out to Bunny Gurus for your next party. You will be so glad you did.

We even spotted a baby seal, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The beach itself is calm, quiet, and beautifully blue--perfect if you're trying to avoid crowded, touristy spots. I personally skipped swimming since there's a lot of visible coral/rocky areas, but honestly, this place is more about exploring than swimming anyway. Just a heads up: there's about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot, but it's totally worth it. Overall, such a cute, peaceful place to spend a day by the ocean.

Check ahead for what time low tide will be so you can plan accordingly. The main entrance to the beach from the visitor center is closed but you can walk 10 minutes over to the Seal Cove staircase and go down to the beach and rocks from there. Bring rainboots or shoes with good grip as the rocks are slippery. You'll see plenty of anemones and hermit crabs and will spot a couple of small fish darting by. If you're lucky, you'll even see a starfish! After being on the rocks for a bit, you can relax on the beach before heading back. Parking is a bit limited - there is a private lot but it fills up quickly but it shouldn't be too difficult to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
