That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

We were really confused with the proposal. He explained to us they work by estimating the cost of all the components of your event and that's what you pay them plus an exorbitant fee. Like if we're paying $4K for lounge furniture, they won't give you details on what exactly you're getting before you pay them. After we asked for an updated proposal with our asks, he emailed back that our date was booked and they couldn't help with our event. The audacity. (Mind you, we were about to shell out $20K for a 40 person picnic for 4 hours.) He gave us zero warning or heads up that our date could have been booked or was not on hold for us. This was a huge waste of time and left us back at square one with only 3 weeks left to plan our company event. The way Luis have conducted himself was extremely unprofessional. I would expect for someone who is the founder of the company to have sound business practices and better client management skills.

Adult membership is $91 and Senior is $81 so not much of a discount even though his is paid for by Kaiser. They have free resistance band workout every other Wednesday at the Union Square plaza at 8am. It's a free class and the instructor is nice.

This lovely studio makes me wish I could be a kid again, if only for a day or two. My son 4.5 year old son attended his first Food Exploration class with teacher Vanessa yesterday and LOVED it! They made cucumber sushi, and miso soup with sea vegetables. The space is very large, bathed in natural light (thanks to the huge picture windows looking out on to Beach Street), and very well ordered. Both the kitchen and art sides of the studio are immaculate. All art supplies are colorful, non toxic, and displayed in a very inviting way. The kitchen is lovely; so well appointed and size appropriate for little ones. Vanessa has a lovely energy - my somewhat clingy son took to her immediately and didn't hesitate (or even glance my way) when I left him (the class was a drop off). Vanessa ended the class reading a book aloud in the book area. This place is a gem - so grateful to have found it (thanks, Little Lane!) and my son can't wait to go back! read more

I have a decent amount of Thai cooking experience, while the rest of my family had none. Still, we all learned quite a bit, and had fun doing it! Jirayu has a beautiful home, and we immediately felt welcome and at ease. She's been doing this for more than 20 years. She and her daughter Saorise had stations set up for us, each with their own propane burner, tools, wok, and ingredients. We chose to make green papaya salad, red curry fried rice, and green curry eggplant with bamboo and rice noodles. After settling in, we started on the first of our dishes. We worked at a good pace, and Jirayu kept an eye on how we were doing, providing feedback where necessary. We made and ate each dish one at a time. It is an understatement to say that they turned out absolutely delicious! By the end of the first dish, we knew that we wanted to come back and do a few more menu items. Through each menu item, Jirayu talked about the brands she uses that have a more authentic Thai flavor. We talked about coconut milk, fish sauce, bamboo shoots, and palm sugar to name a few, and surprisingly some of the best brands were not Thai! She has also done her research on more healthy cooking, finding ways to omit MSG and unnecessary additives, and to make recipes more vegetarian-friendly. She herself is a pescatarian like me! One really neat trick that we learned is to use a juicer to make curry paste from scratch! If you've ever tried to make curry paste, it can be a long process with a mortar and pestle. I've take around 45 minutes to do it myself, and it makes for sore arm and hand muscles, for sure. For green curry paste, we spent probably five minutes using the juicer technique, and the results were amazing! We had plenty of extras to take home. Jirayu was also very generous with her time and answered so many of our questions. We even got to play with her dog, Ziggy!

And I've taken them all. I've taken Italian food cooking classes, dessert cooking classes, and your good old-fashioned American Cooking Class, but this one blew me away. I'm not going to lie, we had a busy group that had to take business calls and work inbetween cooking, and Jirayu took it all in stride. She even had a sense of humor saying we were the only group should have ordered three entrees without any dessert or appetizers LOL. Our first dish was spicy crab which was prepared fresh by us, but was chopped up and cleaned by her. Our next dish was the pad thai. Our third dish was chicken Pumpkin Curry. We were broken out in two teams of two, and each team would prepare its own meal. Not to brag or anything but we had the best Pad Thai, even the instructor said that. I also liked how the instructor accommodated a vegetarian in our class, and was able to accommodate people who liked Spicy Thai food on a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being wild and 10 being flaming hot. For those who wanted flaming hot our instructor was nice enough to take out some Chili's to make the dish extra extra spicy. She told us she does this as her full-time job, and I support her 100%. It was worth every penny and delicious!! We were so excited learning from her, and she motivated us to continue cooking after the lesson. We have made the Long Life Noodles & War Won Ton Soup since then, & Eric has gotten great at making won tons with all kinds of filling! Taking her cooking class is worth it and worth every penny!

I took my little sister to Slime Kitchen, and she had the BEST time! The whole slime-making process…read moreis 10 steps, but it was super smooth and didn't take too long at all. I was expecting us to be there for 30-45 minutes, but from start to finish--including paying--it only took about 20 minutes. It's such a fun, tactile activity, and my little sister loved every second of it. Marian helped us, and she was amazing--so patient, helpful, and great with my sister! Definitely recommend this for a hands-on, creative experience!

I went to a paint & sip class this weekend with my partner and had SO much fun! They have a great…read morelocation in Hayes Valley and immediately when I walked it there were such good vibes with holiday music playing and paintings set up everywhere. They offered us wine and charcuterie and I especially loved how intimate the class was with only 5 people plus an instructor. Our instructor Emily was such a blast and did such a great job explaining everything to us and making our paintings come to life. Overall we had such a great experience and I definitely want to come back with my friends!

This year had an idea to build a jungle skate park and the teachers there helped him make it a reality (cardboard reality) with loads of materials and other support. We hope to send our son there again.
